Does anyone know if the chances are better of Cancer not spreading if found inside a cyst? I mean would the fact of it being inside the cyst help to keep it just in that location or do I still need to worry that it could have spread elsewhere? I don't get my MRI results until Monday and I am scared to death that this has spread being how i had had the cyst for over a year, but with no other symptoms of any kind. Hope someone can answer this question for me. I am truly hoping that the cancer is contained within the cyst wall.

IDC means invasive ductal carcinoma. If I'm not mistaken invasive means it has invaded the tissue outside of the milk duct. I was told in Aug 07 that it was nothing to worry about then after mammo in Aug 08 it had invaded the duct wall but it had not spread anywhere else. The MRI will give your doctors alot of answers. I always advise taking a tape recorder, that way you can sit down and listen after the numbness wears off. Praying fthat you have good results.
