Hi all..I am trying to get some exercise by playing tennis, but for some reason my

back is giving me fits...I went to get a massage yesterday and the guy told me I had

a locked hip and probably should see a chiropractor...

Has anyone else had this ailment??

I've never heard the term locked hip, but I do see my chiropractor regularly, I will get a massage tonight and see my chiro tomorrow and I will ask.

Definitely second the recommendation for a chiropractor.  And a massage before is good for loosening things up so your body is more responsive to the adjustment.

I am pretty active. Well, very active.  Recently, I was backpacking for 4 days with a pretty heavy pack hiking into, around, and out of the Grand Canyon.  I came home from vacation, resumed my running routine but with a new groin pull/pain.  Nothing that was as yet immobilizing but it was there and hadn't been before the backpack adventure.

I remember finishing a run that next Saturday morning.  As it happened, I was right in front of my chiropractor's place.  He is open Saturday mornings.  I popped in all sweaty.  Explained the situation.  He adjusted me - sweat and all.  I walked out and haven't had the pain since.  That was 2 months ago.  Ha Ha.

Good luck!  I hope you resolve your hip problem.
