Safe journey Faith.
Ha and may we all stay virus free. Computer wise that is. I seem to have picked up some kind of bug. That's what I get for going out Sat. night and seeing old friends. Too much hugging I guess

I think I need some of this.
Edit to add: Thankyou Julz for passing on Toys news. I wish she could stay in Kauai.
-
Sahalie, no I haven't been able to get on the bike yet. Unfortunately. My knee won't bend enough. I need to lay in the warm sun and have a fruity, girly kinda drink. You know, the ones with the little umbrellas! LOL
-
I'd like to have a fruity, girly kinda drink with a little umbrella in it, please.

-
I had a good friend that told me one time that there are 3 sides to every story
1) mine
2) yours
3) the truth
We need to all keep that in mind. It is good knowledge.

-
Thanks for the drink, Sharon!
I think we could rustle up one for you too, Anna.
Well put, Spar.
-

Hello Beachies.....I have a "TOYFUL" update.
Sorry it's been a while.....but I wanted to give her some time to recoup before I called her. Today was a good day as I saw she had posted on her blog. So I thought she might be up to a Call. I was able to talk with her for a bit. She admits to being quite drained after short conversations.....but it was so good to hear her voice.
She had a Wonderful Time with her Children, Family, & boyfriend in Hawaii. Although because of her combination of Pain meds made details of her outings & days hazy. Since she got home she has had Dr's Appointments with many new Decisions that have had to be made. The biggest Decision is that she is Now on "HOSPICE" as the Dr's fear the Chemo is not helping her anymore & that it is hurting her.
If she has the energy she will try & post here later today or tonight.
I asked how her Tree was doing with all it's decorations from St. Patricks Day....She Told me in glowing Voice that is all trimmed out for Easter & Absolutley Wonderful!!!! She is Just Loving It! If she feels up to it in the coming week she will try & get some pics & post them of her Easter Tree!

Waving Hi! To All the Beachy Babes from A to ZZZZZZzzz & In Betweens!Take Each Step of your Day as A Blessing......We Never Know where our Next Step will Take Us.
-
Hugs Julz. Thank you so much for letting us know how Toy is. I'm so glad you were able to speak with her. I've been checking her blog but must have forgot to yesterday.

Have always wanted to visit a deserted beach and make it home for vacations and friends.
The water here is clean, clear, and blue and also surrounded by mountains. got to find some chairs for my friends.

Ok, friends got several chairs set up, we need flip flops and towers and maybe some drinks.

there ya go ladies, pick your color and we can even decorate them if we want.

Your choice ladies.

I am hunting rocks, sea shells, and sea glass or anything out of the ordinary. Sahalie, Jazzy girl come play with me. Mary-Lou and Marejo, your drinks are waiting. Biker, wings, sige, celia, Mrs. shrink, Any old times come on and lets wade the water and dig our toes in the sand.
-

Can you imagine the joy of finding this much sea glass on one visit.

beautiful things can be made out of sea glass

beautiful things can be made out of sea shells also
Julz found me some autumn sea glass one time but I can't seem to find it.

These mothers got tired of watching their kids so just buried them up to their necks for a while. LOL

This guy actually made him a hut made all of drift wood he gathered up on the beach.

Sand sculptures are so amazing. Everyone come help me expore this beach and bring nourishment, I am famished. Hugs to everyone all around.
-
toyful and curlieq is you guys get to feeling like it come sit in one of the beach chairs and I will serve you drinks and eats or maybe hire a few cabana boys for that very reason.

-
Gosh, it's sure nice to see someone else on the beach. Spar, you've been a busy beach girl.
-

Anna is running out into the waves. I am going to find a surf board or boogie board and have some fun.

There I go
-
-
You have your lovely escape thread so why do you need the beach too? Just curious.
-
Spar?
-
Doesn't everyone love the beach?

-
Hahahaha, the funny thing is........I just looked at that photo and it's on a lake!!!! In the middle of Canada no less. In Manitoba........no real ocean around for.........well Provinces.
-

Just got home from keeping the grandkids while SIL fights fires and DD gives out food and drinks. It seems like the whole state of Okla is on fire and Arkansas is having tornadoes. This crazy weather.
-
Good morning Beachettes.
What a tiring and worrysome time for you and your family Spar. Praying you get some rain.......and no tornadoes!!

-
Spring greetings to all of my sea-loving sisters. May your Passover and Easter celebrations with family nurture you and your loved ones. The following is verse that was read at my breast cancer support group meeting and as it speaks of the sea, I wanted to share it with you! I hope that it can offer peace and comfort to all. Best regards ~ Nancy ~
A BLESSING FOR EQUILIBRIUM.
BY JOHN O'DONOHUE, from ‘Benedictus - A Book of Blessings'
Like the joy of the sea coming home to shore,
May the music of laughter break through your soul.
As the wind wants to make everything dance,
May your gravity be lightened by grace.
Like the freedom of the monastery bell,
May clarity of mind make your eyes smile.
As water takes whatever shape it is in,
So free may you be about who you become.
As silence smiles on the other side of what's said,
May a sense of irony give you perspective.
As time remains free of all that it frames,
May fear or worry never put you in chains.
May your prayer of listening deepen enough
To hear in the distance the laughter of God. -
Nancy, how lovely and appropriate.
Gentle hugs.

Wow. I've been away so long. I'm going to need to go get a whole new drum of sunscreen.
I've missed this place. These beach-people.
LuckyNancy. I just loved that poem. Will need to ponder it as the weekend unfolds. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us.
Toyful. I wonder if there's someone who can read you our sentiments as beach sisters? I've just read the update of your transition to hospice. How very....... I can't even think of an appropriate word. How very, indeed. We are just getting to know you -- your endless enthusiasm and research into your island adventure. Makes me smile just remembering your anticipation. What a treasure to bless your children with such a gift. I wish you peace. Peace in every minute. Blessings in the midst.
We are a resurrection people.
May we indeed contemplate that journey's truth from today's vantage point.
