Lori - love the Basset - of course, I love all the hound dogs. I don't know why. They drool, they snore, they bay (really loud), they're stubborn and willful. Oh, now I remember. They are just like me!

Hahahah Lori. Me too. My first dog when we got married was a Beagle. He wasn't even friendly (not really typical for a Beagle) but he lived many years and we loved him. If I had the money and enough wipes.........I would LOVE to have a Bloodhound!!!

Coonie - thanks for the basset - I love him. I, too, love bulldogs. I am sure this isn't the case any longer, but years ago I called our local humane society to find out where the bulldog rescue was and she said "there isn't one - they don't need to be rescued" meaning they were loved and cherished. She also said they have so many health problems they warrant buying a house next to a vet!
