Spar, what great news. God is good indeed; I offer prayers of thanksgiving.
-
love this thread, and i love christian books.
Read "The Shack", great read, kind of like a CS Lewis Book, with a lot of symbolism.
A friend lost their spouse and I gave the book for them to read....they had lost a lot of faith in God because of their spouse dying....after they read the book, they told me they had shared with others about how good the book was.
My favorite authors are
Karen Kingsbury books: compelling
Francine Rivers writes some neat historical fiction.
Randy Alcorn.
Grace Livingston Hill (old books)
Keith Green is one of my favorite singers, he fascinates me with making songs from bible verses.
Thanks Always Hope....i enjoy the verses and pictures...

Spar - that is such GREAT news. Yippee! We serve an awesome God.
-
thank you so much EWB, JO and Patoo. I am so grateful
Sahalie and Jazzy girl, thank you so much for being my friend and loving me. I love you 2 so much back.
Everyone have a blessed day.

JO, as alwayshope, (jazzy girl) said this thread is for everything. My oncologist doesn't believe there is any difference after the 5 year mark and really wants me off of it. It also leaches calcium from the bones and could have played a part in the degenerative arthritis. Every since I have been on it a few months I started having a lot of joint pain and can hardly wait to stop it. I also have a lot of vaginal pain, I mean even just to wipe from no estrogen. All these things are suppose to get better after you have been off of it for awhile. I am 57 and would love to feel at least that age instead of 99. LOL
-
Oh I forgot, welcome Amber. I have deadline by Randy Alcorn and love it. I recently was loaned the shack by a friend who felt she wanted me to read it. Everyone that has read it seems to really like it.
Hey, Jazzy girl those copies of the shack would make great Christmas or Birthday gifts.
We are getting ready to go to the concession stand so will check back in when we get home and see if you and Sahalie have posted any. Don't make me drive all the way to your house to get in touch with you.

SPAR. Wonderful Happy News! Prayer works.
Welcome AMBER : ) I'm glad to read your take on "The Shack"
Hello JAZZ. CELIA. EWB, JO and PATOO and all.
Have a great weekend everyone. : )

Good morning fellow readers. Spar, doing the happy dance for your good news. JO, this thread is for anything you want to discuss with your Christian sisters. I'm off and running again this morning. It seems like with spring here, my weekends are busier than my weekdays, in a good way. Tons of fun to be had. Yesterday, I went out with a friend to do some camera work. It was absolutely beautiful and so nice to get outdoors after the long winter. Before long, it will be too hot so I'm enjoying it while I can. I'll try to get back later.
-
Happy Palm Sunday to all. Hope you are all having a good day, enjoying the sun and feeling the warmth on your cheeks. I was able to get to services today, its been quite a while since I was last at church, felt good.
Happy reading to all this week

Jazzy girl, did you take some pretty pictures to post? It is not nice weather here, it is cold and the wind blowing around 40 miles per hour. I blew into church literally with my hair standing up all over my head.
A lady gave me a wicker love seat, chair, and coffee table for my new porch when it gets built on and it is beautiful. I couldn't believe she said if I don't want it she is putting it in the dumpster so I latched on to it, its gorgous. I am so blessed. We put it in our little house until the porch is built. I can't bring myself to rent that house out yet for some reason.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Good morning fellow readers. It's another gorgeous day here and it just makes you glad to have another day. Just getting the coffee started as I slept late but it felt so good to just be able to not have an alarm blaring me awake. I could get used to this!

-
Spar, what a nice 'found' treasure. An incentive to hurry up and get your porch built. How are the baby ducklings?
Good morning to JO, Amber, Patoo, Marejo, EWB, Sahalie and any others not mentioned.
-
Morning song...
-
What a beautiful song, we need to rejoice in the Lord everyday.
The little rascals eat and poop more than any animal alive but they are so adorable. Growing bigger everyday. They huddle around the lightbulb in their box when resting. They have to have their water bowl refilled about every 3 hours. one is named taffy that is all yellow, Brock named one ducky jr., and Emily will name the other one when she comes this weekend.
Good morning to everyone and hope you have a blessed day. Got lots to do today since it is the only day I get to stay home so need to do laundry and clean. Back later
-

Here are the new baby ducks with a clean box, food, and water but that will only last a couple of hours. they are so funny to watch. they will peck each other and its like little kids playing pay back. gotta go. hugs all around.
-
Jazz, now I am scared, went out on the town tonight with DH, out to new place to eat, and then to a new frozen yogurt place (PV is growing) and then to an idol concert which was great but meanwhile at 7:53 to be exact there is a message from dr. Toma the oncologist office to please contact them. What if they made a mistake and something is wrong. I am so happy being NED the possiblilty just makes my stomach drop. Now I will be a wreck until I talk to them tomorrow.
-
Spar, my thought is that he wants to address the anemia issue. Everything on the scans was good so don't assume the worst. You really do need to find what is causing the anemia. It's not just a lack of good eating and vitamins. But the good news is that it is usually something that can be treated.
-
I feel like such a silly willy nilly. they just wanted to make sure I realized that I did not have cancer but I did have arthritis and they are send a copy of everything for my dr. here. that will teach me not to jump to conclusions just from a phone call. I am smiling and going to enjoy my day now, it is a busy one. Everyone have a great day.
-
Spar, love the pict of the ducks. We went into Tractor Supply over the weekend and my husband was driving the baby ducks crazy by quacking like a duck. btw, is that a crossings book club papers in the bottom of the duck box? you are trying to raise them right.
glad to hear the good news from your doctor.
Sheila

Oh Spar, I am so glad things worked out with doc's office! I think its natural to be a little jumpy. Ducklings are sweet.
Happy Easter week everyone

Jo, I feel the same, God loves me so much but I know he rolls his eyes at me and thinks oh yea of little faith.
Sheila, got to have my ducks reading by the time they are 8 weeks old. LOL. We need to change their box every few hours and fill their water bowl every few hours. I can't believe how much they eat, drink, and poop, but they are worth every second. They are so much fun to watch, can't wait until they are big enough to take out on the pond. Before my other duck died, we would go out in the middle of the pond together in the jon boat and I would put him out in the water, she would head for the shore and race me to see who could get there first and that duck always beat me. She loved to be petted under her beak. I hope these little guys are as friendly and loveing as my other duck. They are so cute but different. My other one was white, these are brown and yellow spotted and the solid yellow one is named taffy. They do love to peck at my fingers and my wedding band.
I too am so relieved everything is ok at the onc office. Mammogran is next month but you know I don't even feel concerned about it now. It will be fine.
I hope all of you guys have had a great day, mine has been wonderful and tomorrow is going to be great also. Well, the weekend is too because I will have my grandson Friday night so he can go to the church youth cook out and my granddaughter is going to a little girl slumber party, then my daughter is picking up my grandson sat. at noon and trading for my granddaughter so she can hunt easter eggs with the church (actually 3 churches that get together each year and sponser it)
God Bless each of you, with lots of love and hugs. Sherry

My best friend from high school called tonight, she was in remission and now it is back in her liver. She is starting a new chemo the 21st and was told she would lose her hair again. Please pray for her, her name is Judy. I am going to make her some of those chemo caps. Hope all has had a great day and evening. Much love and hugs.
-
I am so sorry to read this, Spar. I will put her in my prayers. So many people having recurrence lately. Gentle hugs.
-
Thanks my sweet jazzy girl. How did it go with the volunteering? Can't wait to hear about it.
-
Good morning sisters. Well, I survived the storms last night. No damage here but one poor town was hit with much destruction. I hope everyone has had a good and fruitful week. The sun is out and it looks like its going to be a beautiful day here. Let's give thanks to God for His goodness...
-
Goodmorning, so glad you made it through the night with no problems. I seem to be reading slowing these days because there is just too much to do and going on so have been reading just at bedtime or when I have lunch. Still haven't got to start the shack yet, but will soon. Everyone have a great day and I do that you Lord for your goodness and blessings.
-
Hello everyone.
Spar2 - will keep Judy in prayer.
This is the day the Lord has made. Today we celebrate Good Friday and what Jesus did for all of us. The best news is we know He lives. There is "AlwaysHope" (glad you weathered the storms).
Everyone have a very blessed Easter.
-
Hi Patoo, thank you so much, prayer works. Hope you have a blessed Easter also.
-
Good morning sister readerrs. It's a beautiful Saturday here and I'm getting ready to go to some garage sales. Kind of like a 'spring is finally here' right of passage. The paper is once again full of garage sales to go treasure hunting and see what treasures we can discover. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
-
Hope you find some really good stuff. Happy garage sailing. Don't have a clue if we have any here or not, I need to get the paper might find some jewelry to take apart.
Goodmorning all bc sisters and happy day.
