home from surgery
Hi every one i got home this morning from mondays surgery, they kept me longer than expected because i had a lot of redness and bruising at the site, which i thought would be normal, dr said it could be a hematoma, on top of that i had 102- 103 temp. painful swollen glands and sore throat couldnt eat or drink. i was such a mess and a bad headache from all the couhing i was doing from a bad infection in my lungs, i was starting to feel sick right before i went in and it got worse, other than some uncomfortable slight pain at the site and underarm i would of felt much better had i not had to deal with the other stuff. I called the dr office to see if the path came back and the nurse said the tumor was much larger than initially thought (not sure how much bigger) and the margins were clear but 1 out of 6 nodes were positive and i would diffently need chemo, i am not happy about that but know its just somthing i have to do and will get thru it, does that mean that it is mets when ther is 1 node positive? when i did mri and body scan it came back normal a few months ago, Iam so blessed to have you all here for help and comfort, iam sorry you have all had to go thru all this as well,
debbie

Debbie - so glad to hear that you are home and on the mend. All that waiting and wondering is over and you're on the road!!.
I don't know for certain, but I don't think one node means mets. Good luck with your tx.

Congrats on being home Debbie. I sure hope you are feeling better. I'm not sure but I agree with mzmiller (Hi Susan!!). I do not think that because you have one positive node, you would have mets. I know someone will be by to give you a definite answer. Hang in there!

Hi, back, how's everything in the Bay State? Saw the sun this afternoon for the first time in days. I wish those gals out west would stop sending us their wet weather!
-
TODAY WAS GORGEOUS!!! That's the only day this week we didn't have rain. I'm sure you'll be sad to hear that the Sox's opener was cancelled due to rain on Monday, had it on Tuesday instead. More rain coming soon, but I guess you know that. Stop sending it my way!!
Have a great Holiday!

mzmiller- Us girls out west are sorry we are sending you wet weather! Ha Ha- at least when you get it it isn't SNOW! At least I don't think it is? I don't think 1 node means mets either. JMO. Tami (by the way there is more wet on the way, it snowed here all day.)
