Oh, Barbe!!! Oh, Sharon!!! You and the bun jokes! You made me totally and truly LOL!!
I need a laugh today. Some of you will probably read this on another thread, but gosh darn it to heck (and I'm REALLY cleaning it up here) evidently, some "residual calcifications" were seen on my last mamm, which I had been told looked fine and was negative, but was re-checked by some big city radiologists per my BS. And she's on vacation and the city radiologists sent the report to the wrong office, which is why I never heard from her. So, the city dudes think I need further diagnostics. So, here we go again....
@#$%$&^*&((*&^%^%$@#%$%^&*&(*&^^#%$@#^%$@!!!!!
Kathi
P.S. Mom2two, I read a recent interview with Michelle Obama in which she rhapsodized about the fabulous pie the White House bakers make!! Girl after my own heart. So, if she can come here for a visit, maybe she'll bring some!
-
Ooohhhh I got called away too!! I missed all the fun.....tea party, buns, etc. etc.
DH called me to come in to work. uuggghhhh.....we're trying to get wrapped up to leave this weekend. I wonder if it's even worth leaving because you have to do sooooooooo much just to even get AWAY!!!! I'll have to catch up on you ladies later.
Hope your evening is a good one!!!
(((((((((((((hugs to everybody)))))))))))))

Some of them I have known along time. Thanks for helping me smile threw the housework and life. Coonie can I borrow a hug. It makes the day so much easier. God bless this group and all the love we share. Take care, Debbie

Okay, it is 10:30 at night and I finally finished this stupid test. The Professor request that we reference the page in the book where the answere could be found. If you fail to reference the page, you will lose a point. So, I have been going through the two books page by page to find all of the answers. At least she is ensuring we all get A's. That is all the work I have done today. I will do the dishes before going to bed.
-
Oh Lori those look so yummy and the hot chocolate is perfect for bedtime, Thanks!
Pinky bet you will remember this professors class and the material long after all the others have faded away. You turn in for the night and let those dishes wash themselves
Nite my friends!

I so enjoy this thread. It makes me realize I am not the only "slow" (wont say lazy) house cleaner around. After all, this is Virginia - "south" of the Mason Dixon line - slow and easy, laid back, right??? One thing per day, and some days I do more.
I am watching the apartment gardeners putting down mulch and they were here at 8 am. I think that should give me half a point because I used to do the same when I had a house. I sorted laundry and figure there is not enough for a full load yet. Another half a point for conserving water, lol.
Those cinnabons are wonderful. Since I am allergic to chocolate, I have to satisfy my sweet tooth in any way I can. Thanks a bunch. Have a super duper day. HUGS, nancy
-
I am days behind in my housework. The laundry is still sitting on my couch...unfolded...from Saturday! No motivation to do any of it...none! My 17 yr old DS suggested I clean my bedroom yesterday....I just stared at him. I feel like I am being a defiant child when it comes to housework. The kids won't do any....so neither will I. so THERE! Any of you feel like this? All those donuts and cinnabuns you ladies are sharing on the board aren't helping me either...then I just want to sit down and EAT. Of course, I have purposely lost 29 lbs since my hubby left me in January...I'd like to lose 20 more....but NO DICE!! I've joined a singles dating website with the hopes of meeting a nice man....but at this rate I won't be able to have a houseguest unless I clean up my funky house. That could be years before I feel like cleaning again??? Does tamoxifen make a person lazy? maybe it's the tamoxifen. I need to blame it on something....
-
I was thinking that BC not only stands for Breast Cancer, but for " Ban Cleaning"... BC stickers with little fuzz balls hanging all over? yes, my mind is warped, but I got an excuse or 2.

So many posts, not much time to log on. The good news is I ordered my power cord and it should be mail out sometime before the end of the year. Thats sarcasm, but I feel like I have been without a laptop for months. It's been since Sat morning.
KAK I feel for you! Similiar to me, I guess. What big city? Prov or Boston? Just wondering who you were referred to. You can PM me, it may take a while for me to respond because in case you haven't heard, my laptop is USELESS!! Try and relax and remember we are lucky we are monitored so closely so we can catch thing very early. That's what everyone told me when I have cals on my first mam, hard to believe but it IS true!! I'll be thinking of you,
To the rest of you FABULOUS ladies - there is too much for me to read and respond to. Just know I miss checking in hourly with you all and listening to your funny rants, stories, cries for help, or ....oh yeah.... cleaning issues!
Take care my friends. I miss you all!

Well dd is off school this week for Spring Break. So I'm looking at how I'm gonna muster enough energy to keep a 9 year old occupied and get the housework semi caught up. I refuse to let her vegetate in front of the tv this week. I always wondered what could be the harm in kids watching those purple dinosaurs and yellow birds when they are young but now I know that it teaches them to just sit and do nothing but want to watch all day if you let them.
Right now she is enjoying sleeping in so I have a moment to myself to check in here but I have the feeling its going to be a busy day, ready or not. Still have those moments though where I feel just so grateful that life is able to be back to this and I want to make the most of it.
Linda we miss you too, I was just thinking I bet you'd have some good ideas for keeping little ones occupied.
Cali and Pam, I'm telling you we should all be neighbors then we could pick one house a day to go get tidied up while we chatted and cleaned.
I'm planning on having myself a big old yard sale soon to help in my goal for less "stuff" in my house. I went through my closet and am bagging up most of the non essentials. Have decided to have a basic wardrobe and get rid of all those "I might need this" pieces. Did that to the kitchen a few weeks ago and other than the messes I make when cooking it stays pretty nice now and everything is easier to put away because it has its own place. The laundry is the next thing to conquer. Trying to weed out as much as possible so the stack can't get so high even at its worst.
-
Hey there. My house is semi clean! it is cluttered still, but oh well! My uncle cam yesterday, so i needed it cleaner for him. Thank you to whoever posted about Merry Maids. i will have to check them. the other cleaning for free services are not out my way.
I am folding and putting away clean clothes today.
-
Today I HAVE TO at least straighten up. We are having Direct TV installed tomorrow! Bye-bye Comcast and the outrageous rates! Of course before I start, I had to get on here & get caught up on all my favorite threads!
I too am planning a garage sale. I have an extra bedroom that is already filled with everything. Now we just have to decide "when" we are going to do it! (Barbe - I already know what you are thinking!)
-
wouldn't that be for the mojo thread (he he).
I bought paint. maybe get to the bathroom tommorrow. Today I am seeing the PS. Have not done anything else besides drink coffee. Anyone else want some, I have enough for all. It is a beautiful sunshiny day here today a great day to do nothing.

OK WHO'S THE WISE GUY WHO SENT THIS DARN COLD WEATHER AND WIND DOWN FLA WAY - It's freezing only about 57 degrees and winds gusting up to 37MPH. But HA-HA we'll be back to 80+ degrees by Thursday - poor Ed he had to pull out his winter wear for work again.
-
I think your warm weather came here to Vancouver. Yesterday I saw two teenage girls wandering around in their bikinis. I actually had to put on the air conditioner in the car. And to think it snowed only a week ago.
Lori
-
Hugs all, just a quick checkin. I'd like to say I'm cleaning but that would be a lie. I SHOULD be cleaning.
I love 'Ed's' white sideburns hehehehe. It's snowing here so it's not like I sent you our weather Cathi. LOL, I would if I could.
-
Lori, thanks for the coffee. Why is there hair in it tho?
-
Wow. Every day I find a forum that is extra useful. I went to Fly Lady yesterday and it gave me hope. My surgery (PBM) is April 30 and I am completely stuck on cleaning up my bedroom/sickroom.
But it is nice to hear that just doing ONE thing per day is good. I am a single mom with 3 kids and a full time job.
E
-
Well E. Looking after 3 children and a full time job is hardly doing one thing a day. You've got banked chores already.
Wishing you all the best with your upcoming surgery.
-
This might be the answer ladies to get HIM to do it!
-
Just peeking back in and good to see Cathi back on. Guess our genius plot to send the cold down your way to get you back on here and off of that beach worked.
Now if I could just find that off switch and send these snowflakes away.......hmmmm.
((((((((((E)))))))))))))) on that upcoming surgery. Tell anyone who asks what they can do that you'd love a casserole to freeze or someones time to do a load of clothes or watch the kids instead of most of our lame response of "I'll be fine or nothing". It makes people feel better to help in some tangible way and it will make life easier for you in the weeks to come.
Back to work now for me.
-
He would die if he knew I posted that pic - HA-HA, it was actually taken 2 years ago when we went tp PA in Oct for his dads 90th B'day. We were freezing then too.
-
What a cutie Cathi!
-
I did some dishes(not all) so that is my 1 thing, I am done for the day.
And yes looking after 3 kids and dealing with all this could probably be banked until they are out of the house.
Will be thinking of you for your surgery.
Lori

IT'S SNOWING
-
Hahahaha, well I'm hoping that isn't a recent picture. Or maybe white sand???
