I'm praying for you and your hubby, too. Bad news... but at least there are some positives along with it. Stay spunky, SpunkyGirl!

    Hey Bobbie,

I am sorry that there was more progression. Hopefully the kidney biopsy will be negative and the new medicine will keep him stable until a trial or new drug becomes available.

    Big Hugs,

    Lexi

Bobbie - Thinking of you and DH on my run today - just know that he will be there and feeling great when we cross the finish line together!  Tell him BECAUSE MARY SAYS SO (name of our Race for the Cure team and my husbands motto in most things!)

You are in my thoughts. Mary

Thanks so much, girls.  Your prayers and thoughts mean so much to me.  I cried in the shower today, which is so not like me, but hey, it is what it is.  I just hope I can keep up the poker face in front of the kids.

Janis, your old saying reminds me of the other old saying that gets thrown around, "God never gives us more than we can handle."  What?  I don't even know where that one came from!  I do believe that my belief in God will get me through whatever comes our way.  But this is definitely more than I can handle.

Lexi, haven't seen you for a while.  I hope you are feeling awesome!

    Girls, you rock!

Bobbie... where did that saying come from. If it came from the Bible I will shut up!

If not... I hate that saying! I see many times where it is MORE THAN SOMEONE can handle and they are on their knees begging for help!

You are aok! You are hurt and freaking I am sure,. I  would be. I will be on my knees in prayer tonight as I am.. and you and dh will be in those prayers. I never feel I can handle it. As I am loose... kinda off... but I do trust the Lord will help. I cannot do a thing but pray. So I do. I will pray for your family!

    Estepp,

I'm so with you on everything you've said.  I think someone made that one up.  Most of the time, I cannot do a thing but pray, and I appreciate all the ones going out to us from people who have their own overflowing plates.  Loe your avatar picture-beautiful.

    Thanks

    Bobbie

I remember someone saying that to me when I was in treatment.  They said, "God never gives you more than you can handle."  My response was, "You handle whatever God gives you because you don't have a choice."

People have said that to me too - and it annoys me a lot, because what other option do we have??

Bobbie - no-one deserves what you are going through. I can only imagine how hard it is to have to be the strong one,  when you need someone to lean on too. Wishing you only the best.

People say that "never gives you more than you can handle' instead of saying

"holy crap have you've really been dumped on and it really sucks'. Now that would be much  better wouldn't it?

At least the second one might make me crack a smile.

Janis, Yes, I like that second statement much betterSmile.  Carol, I love your response (I'll be using that the next time I hear that).  Kerry, thank you-what you said was beautiful.

We will just have to get each other through it all.

    Love

    Bobbie

Okay, girls, I know I owe you a picture of this pup.  I have to find that digital camera, and I'll get on it.  Anyway, the first night (Saturday) and the second night, Sunday, were rough.  I forgot what a new puppy was like.  Last night, I put a little "bed" for him together on my spare bedroom bed and slept with him.  He only got up twice, and the first time he let me know he needed to go out by licking my face.  He is the cutest doggie ever, that little Utah (with the exception of my fellow BC sisters' doggies).

Well, girls, the news just doesn't get better.  DH is not doing well at all.  They are giving Temodar two months to see if it helps  him, but they said if we don't get this thing to stop growing, it's a matter of months, not years.  I know the medical profession isn't always right, but he is tired all the time and keeps a low-grade headache.  And, of course, I'm at the 2.5 year mark, so you know I'm thinking about that possibility too.  I don't even know what to tell our kids at this point.  I read Randy Pausch's book, and for what it's worth, he says they're too young to know too much until things get worse.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.  I know that we all carry a lot of burdens here, so I appreciate your support.

    Hugs

    Bobbie

    Bobbie,

I'm so sorry for your bad news. Know that you are in my daily thoughts and prayers. I tend to agree that young ones don't need to know until they need to know, if it comes to that. I'm hoping DH will respond to tx and feel better soon.

    Hugs, Kimf
