    The jewelry, magnificent.

Sahalie, thank you for posting about the duck cage, will make some improvement to mine. Can't wait to see how your umbrella turns out, sounds like it will be gorgous.

JO.  Your work is amazing.  Beautiful.  And congratulations on getting the pictures on here.

You should have your own little cottage and set up shop.

JAZZ is a brilliant teacher.  Thanks for helping JO get her pictures here for us all to enjoy.

SPAR.  Did you make that "woombie"  I have never seen anything like that.  It is so adorable.

I'm glad the duck cage idea can give you more ideas.

ANNA.  Your idea of using strips of the fabric to tie the ends is perfect.  That's what I'll do.

It will look complete that way and I love your idea.  So Thank You !

    Hi KATHLEEN.

I'm having so much fun finding colorful ideas.

This could be used as decoaration in a baby's room.  Or.  Tie Backs for curtains.

    Endless ideas.

I know the book below is a Holiday book but how cute would it be as a gift to a friend

as an address book or a journal.

I love this idea.  Has anyone made one already?

One of my girlfriends made me one similar for my baby shower gift.

It is the picture album for my daughter.

    *

I'm seeing these crochet cupcakes all over the place these days.

    How cute are they.

WENDY.  If you're reading here today I want you to know I'm thinking about you and your dh.

I hope you both rested thru the night and he is feeling a lot better today.

    How cute !

I love the idea below for the holiday table.  I'm going to make these.

    The idea is from Goodhousekeeping.com

See you all later.  My cupboards are bare.

Fear and Loathing at Whole Foods next.

Hi been reading this thread for a while.... You all make beautiful things.  And since I have been off dealing with all this....I have made new drapes for the house, and I decided to start making candles again.  Used to do it years ago but needed to start something again.  Most of my candles are tealights and votives, but decided to try to do wine glasses with writing on them here is a few pics of my wine glasses.

I am giving these to my girlfriend who is getting married in May. First pic is unlit 2nd is with tealight lit inside.

Here is another one I am giving to my MIL for her Birthday tommorrow.

It is a little harder to see but it says Imagine Dream Believe

LORI.   How beautiful those candle wine glasses are.  Did you do the etching yourself?  How did you do that?  I love them.  Those would be great at place settings for the up coming wedding.

JO.  Your works are so professional.  You have some major talent there and your paintings are extremely lovely.

Let's all find a fun craft for our SPAR.  She has had a very rough day in more ways than one.

SPAR.  I hope this craft will bring a smile to you.

A PINE CONE GNOME.  WE ALL NEED SOME OF THESE.

Yes, warm, loving hugs to SPAR. Just look at Sahalie's little pine cone gnome. What joy! What adorable little eyes! What purity in the beard! And the name, pine cone gnome. Pure music. Say it a few times, pine cone gnome, pine cone gnome, pine cone gnome. If anything gets in your way today (almost tomorrow), let that name run off your tongue, pine cone gnome, and all will go right over your head; nothing will bother you.

    pine cone gnome

    thank you, Sahalie.

Yes I did the etching.  I bought an etching kit from Michaels.  It is called Armour Etch.  Real easy it is just a cream that you put on leave for about 15 min then wash off.  The one for my girlfriends wedding I spray painted because I wanted to use her wedding colour of purple.

The talent on this thread is incredible and so much fun.

JO.  Really.  You need to open your own shop.  I love the crocheted animals.

LORI.   OH boy.  We have a Michael's close by and I am going to get the kits.

Have you made or used them on Christmas ornaments?   I make one for each new

family member or baby and use model kit paint and fine brushes to decorate but

I am loving the etching ideas you have shared here.

ANNA.  You are very welcome!  Look how adorable these are too.

Handmade crafted, needle felted wool acorns from pure wool roving -

and 100% genuine nature made caps!

    Irresistible Acorns....

    How big are they?

Well, they're lifesize... around .75 to 1.25 inches.

Touchable set of handmade acorns needle and wet felted from yummy wool roving.

Wool fabric from the store.  Acorn caps from Mother Nature.

I love roving! I love needle felting! The only needle felting I have done is on a penny runner, I added the cutest little sheep all around.

I really like the chain of felted wool circles, I can think of lots of uses for that. How old is your daughter, Sahalie? Still little?

Those knit animals are adorable. My daughter makes mobiles out of little fabric animals. I only have one of her animals, a donkey, and will take a picture to post. I'm going up to Boston next week to visit her (and my little tiny grandson) and will take a picture of one of her mobiles.

Right now I'm putting the binding on a Lenten Cross (aka Persian Puzzle) wallhanging and will post that when finished.

Hmmm, lots of promised picture posts, nothing tangible, but stuff coming. Isn't it fun to be so productive. Isn't it fun to be having so much fun?

those acorns are the cutest things, I wouldn't mind having a pretty bowl full of them sitting on my coffee table, what a conversation starter.  We have thousands of acorns on the ground and always considered them irritating except for the squirrls, will never think of them that way again.

Are the animals a kit?  I want some peppermint candles so bad and can't find them anywhere, I wonder if I could make some?  does anyone know.  I can't believe all the ideas and talent on this thread.  It is more and better than I dreamed of.  Thank you so much for sharing.  Will post here soon as I get home tomorrow which will be evening time.  nite nite and hugs all around.

Spar, making candles isn't hard at all, it's messy but pretty easy....and it depends on what kind of wax you're going to use....Soy is basically for containers, alot of the others are for molds....

Hi all...just found this thread and love it!  Love all the posted ideas, talented ladies!  I just had my first AC on Tuesday, feel more human today than yesterday.  My two brothers came to see me Monday night and brought me a new SKIL saw.  I love working with wood and have made many many things.  My husband just laughed when they left and said I'm probably the only gal he knows that would recieve a tool from her brothers!  ha!  When the weather breaks I can't wait to try it out!  Love to sew, crochet and quilt, too.  My sister Margee passed away in November from a different hideous form of cancer called "aggressive destructive carcinoma", went through hospice with her, I've made several afaghans to donate to the hospice that cared for her.  It's a good feeling to give back.  Have a great day ladies...will keep checking back for more ideas.

I am really enjoying this craft thread.

When still living in CA my specialty was furniture.  I had many pieces consigned in shops in Temecula (a big antique shopping area).  I'll try to get some pics scanned.

I especially enjoyed finding old maple or oak chairs, refinishing them and covering the seat cushions.

I also made flower plants out of old cane chairs.  They were a great seller!

Also, did hand painting on lots of furniture in the shabby chic style.

Spar ... I absolutely love your windchimes.  I have a question though ... what size drill bit did you use for the holes?  I have lots of old hardware, etc., that I have collected from my property and would love to use it to make a windchime.  I also picked up some small copper fittings to add to the beadwork.  They make a lovely sound!!

I found a tin plate used for camping at Walmart and will use that.  Just need to paint my own design on it.

The quilts are gorgeous ... maybe I should did out my sewing machine ... better not, I have so many projects waiting to be finished.

Great ideas on recycling cards too!

You ladies put me to shame!  What a bunch of talented women.  I want to see everyone's projects - post pictures, please.

JO - love the idea of Knots n Pots - too cute.

HOPE - love your work - so beautiful!

Maybe one of us could start a store and have others contribute to the stock with their own crafts - sort of like those antique malls with many dealers.  Maybe just an internet (virtual) store.  What do you think?

thank you so much for the warm welcome back, it has been a long day but after the shot of radioactive stuff, had to wait 2 hours and drink 40 oz of liquid so I headed to hobby lobby to pass the time.  I found the perfect material for the quilted wall hanging I want to do to hang above my bed.  Am very excited to get it going but I have 3 other projects in the making I need to finish first.  I am going to go by my mom's tomorrow and ask her for just 5 peices of her precious sea glass, she found them all in Delaware beaches and she bought a glass globe lamp and filled it full of her sea glass.  If she won't let me have any I will have to use some frosted glass.

The scan went smoothly, had to start over once because they said I moved even though I though all I did was take a deep breath. Will get results tomorrow afternoon and soon as I know I will post them here.

Sahalie, those heart party favors are some of the cutest I have seen.  Hey, I got my 4 ducks today and they are so sweet.  My DH had a huge plastic container all set up in the house with their little feeder and a bown with rocks in it so if they fall in they are standing on a rock.  There is a light in there keeping them warm.  We were warned at the store to keep them very warm.  Haven't decided names yet, got to know their personalities a little more.   I hope Celia reads here so she knows I have some more ducks and will have to post pictures later.

Love that deck and am ready to kick back and relax, DH cooked supper tonight and it so reminded me of you, he fixed smoked oyster nachos with onions and peppers and tobasco sauce, they were wonderful and full of lots of cheddar cheese.  YUM!

Jaz, the cross stitch is beautiful.  To do that I would have to use a magnifying glass.  Found a latch hook rug of a huge lion today but it was way beyond my pocket book.  My wall hanging will be prettier anyway.

granny, imagine getting a skill saw, if I asked for one, my DH would take my temperture, but who knows.

JO, that cross stitch pillow is really special and I would so love to hear about some of the Christmas ornaments that you made.

DH drilled the holes for me in the plate.  He is my better helper.  Am so glad he set up by baby ducks in the house until they are older and built them a nice cage for when they are older outside.  He even painted it yesterday.

I am going to go do some crafty work.  You guys have a good evening. hugs.
