Hair!!!!!
I'm finally getting some hair back, and I'm sooooo glad! I used to be a dirty blond, but it's coming in black with white around the edges. I'm still hoping for some curls as I've always had poker staight hair.
Today I decided to go without my cancer hat as it is just too hot here in Florida. I've had it with hats! So. . . . even though I look like a Marine, I ventured out for my radiation treatment and my doctor appointment looking like this:

Everyone wants to rub my head as it feels like a little puppy's belly!!!!!

You look GREAT! I enjoyed my short hair and went around without a hat too. Felt great, and people are never very fussed by it all. You go!

congratulations
nothing like a little hair. I hope you get those curls.

You look great! With a magnifying mirror, I can see tiny stubbles growing on my head. I am so excited! I can't wait to be where you are!

Cora - you look great! I stopped wearing hats when I had about 1/4 inch of hair! I was so tired of covering my head. I loved the softness. I hope you get the curls. I had curls and absolutely loved them. The curls are almost gone now but it was fun while it lasted!

I think you look great. How long ago did you stop chemo? I will be starting next week so will catching all those hats you are ladys are throwing around like Mary Tyler Moore!

Thank you, all of you, for your kind comments! It feels so wonderful to be free of the hats!
Thisisme, I had my last chemo on December 3, 2008. I was on cytoxen and taxotere, triple dose every three weeks, 6 treatments. Then, I had surgery in January and started Rads in the beginning of March. I definitely wish you well through your chemo! It was hard, but I made it through ok! Cora
