I have taken B12 for about 5 years, I find it helps with my nervousness and calms me also.  I don't know of any negative side effects,  Both of my oncs know and approve, so I keep at it.  I can tell when I don't take it, I feel more tired.  Just my 2 cents.... Tami

I take B12 and have for many years.. I was at one point anemic and after trying to get my blood count up with oral supplements (Iron) I found that my stomach didn't seem to be the best route.. so my doc suggested that I take B12 but sublinqually (under the tongue to dissolve and go directly into the blood stream).  After that I decided that I would continue on the regement.. My energy levels have been good since....  Best

Doesn't B12 need to be taken with B complex to work?  I know you get shots but I'm talking in pill form?  I also just read if you don't have good acids in your stomach (a healthy stomach) your body will not process Vitamin B12.

I also heard that people with digestive problems may not process vitamin B-12. I eat meat, and have been tested for vitamin B-12 shortage. The shortage caused numbness. Since I've begun taking the Vit B-12 shots the numbness disappeared. We also purchased a large bottle of it at our local grocery store. I take a tablespoon of it. Since it is in liquid form it might be easier to process. There is also a B-12 pill that disolves under your tongue. It really helps increase energy and supports the liver.

My boss has been complaining of tiredness and memory loss.  He was tested and found to have No  B12 in his body. Shots helped him big time. Both of these are heads up also for possible side effects of low B12.
