Happy Monday to you too Mary Lou, I always so enjoy your smile and no matter what you go through you handle it with grace. How are you and DH doing?
It is always nice to be reminded of our dear Angel's words when she started this wonderful thread.
Thank you for the reminder my friend.
Lucy lady, keep playing around with posting pictures and you will get the hang of it.
Happy day all.

Just wanted to come in and say hello! Hope you all are well and you had a good Monday. It's sunny here where I live but that north/east wind is darn right FREEZING! Oh, I hate to grumble, BUT.....I SOOOOOOOOOOO can't wait for some heat (and not from the furnace either)
Otherwise nothing new....life is good and I am thankful.Sending love and hugs to all of you....
Mary Jo

What a great day at the beach..... I measure it's greatness by the diversity of people who walk the shores & today we've had quite a few different folks to keep each other company in the serenity of the healing waters.

Hey Luckylady!!! I love your screen name....
So glad you joined us today. Don't worry about the picture taking. I didn't know how at first either. I think Julz here taught me.......and she's a mighty fine teacher.....and I had a little instruction of Lisa too.......she's good too:) Maybe with a little help from everybody.......but anyway, so nice to meet you!! Sit back and relax with us. If you're like me, I enjoy hearing about different adventures our sisters are involved with. It kind of takes me out of my "own little world" so I get to see, hear, touch and feel through their words and pics posted. ((((((((((((gentle hugs to you))))))))Mary-Lou it's so good to see you drop in today. Hope you and Mr. Mary-Lou are still doing great. I love your new avatar. Of course, it's not as pretty as the real YOU
((((((((((hugs))))))))))) -
Hi, Mary Jo, thank you for dropping by to say hi and rest on the shores of the calming ocean for a while. I am the opposite, I am enjoying every little cool spell and dread the heat. I have hot flashes so bad and sweat so badly in the summer, it runs down my face, my hair gets all wet, and i feel yuck, unless I am swimming, then it is good. 60's is my temps.
I am getting a little nervous about tomorrow now that it is in the morning. Onc. appts. are just scary, you go along 3 to 6 months at a time and then boom its time for all the lab and test again and all of a sudden I am not comfortable in my own skin anymore for a day or two.
I am going to bore you with a picture of my GD tonight she hit a good one and ran for it during the ballgame this afternoon.

these little kids are so much fun to watch.
Jazzy girl, I am missing you and wish you would come out and play with me.
Sahalie, send me some of your magic words tomorrow
Goodnight all
-
Good morning Beachettes. I'm in search of sun.
Spring came...........and went. Spar, maybe we can amalgamate our temps.
-
Good morning Beachies!!!
Hope you all have a beautiful day in the sun!!
((((((((((( Spar ))))))))))) will be thinking about you today with your appointment. Sure hope it all turns out ok......they are so scary still! OH, and there is NOTHING boring about looking at pics of granddaughters........NEVER!!
I love looking at EVERYBODY' pics and reading about their lives. Make my little boring life seem a little more adventurous
Hey MJ !!! Good to see you here too!!
Sharon, you're always 1st one at the beach!!! Do you camp out on the sand??

Wonder if Julz heard from Toy yet? I really hope so.....
You ladies have a great day!!!!!!!!!!! ((((((((((big hugs to all of you)))))))))))
-
What a beautiful morning! Don't you just love it when spring is there to be sniffed? It fills me with the same feelings of utterly glorious potential that I associate with my early years.
How I love the salty scent of the ocean! Feel it on your face?

Yes, F&F, of course I know Amy Butler's fabrics. I will post a photo of my latest baby quilt made from her fabrics on the craft thread later this week. I'm still putting on the binding.
Enjoy the potential, dear sisters. Enjoy all that breathing we get to do!
Anna

Morning beachettes!!
There's a craft thread? Seriously?? Where's that one??
I just found a "house-work" thread last night for the first time -- so that I could celebrate the moving of my Christmas tree from the living room into our guest room. (Have to get this place together today, before DH returns this weekend>>>>> LOLOLOL>>>>>>>>)
I had promised myself "NOT" to dabble in additional/new threads, but that resolve has obviously been eroded -- particularly with the cuties and now Checkum's escape possibilities.
Anna. You would adore Amy Butler in person. Even more than her awesome creations, if that's possible. I got to spend time in her studio and see her new spring line, before she culled from the 83 designs that she created -- to the eventual 36. She is such a gracious individual. So supportive. So very genuine. A heart of gold. A rare find. She was honestly intrigued by my little work and was able to shine her kindness upon me, in the midst of this amazing evening. (She showed me the photos that were headed to the Oprah mag, from a pile on her desk: WOWOW!!) Blink your eyes and she'll be an industry like Martha Stewart. She's certainly headed there. DH has a hand in helping her manage her distrubtion (from his warehouse.) She's young and adorable. You can just tell that she's honest-to-the-core, in addition to being the most talented of individuals.
OK enough about fabric.
Today is get thyself ready for tomorrow's departure & return. I present on Thurs this time and then will go to DD2's that night to help her prepare for this big deal recital of hers. We MUST SHOP!!
Then DH flies into Baltimore. Then the 'potential-in-laws' arrive. Then the recital. Then the DH & I drive back to OH TOGETHER!!!! (anything after that, you'll have to use your imaginations.... feel free to blush.)
Exciting.
Sure wish I was feeling 100%..... I'd be thrilled with 87%...... must carry on! I will be noticeably caught up in my real-life, so you gals will have to splash each other on my behalf..... till this time next week.) Tho of course, I can never cut myself off completely. giggles
Tonight I have an "appearance" to make at an elementary. They are performing one of my songs, and have invited me to make a "composer's introduction." How cute is that?? Ya just gotta love first graders. and music teachers. and life.
Spar, thinking of you as you head off to the onc. Since I just had that appointment last week, my feelings are still just-on-the-surface as well. Just parking in their parking lot puts me on high alert..... and I've certainly not experienced the extent of "onc-ness" that most on this thread or site, have gone thru. I'll be hanging out in your purse...... and then I MUST get busy.
Be kind beyond measure. You can't predict the need for kindness at any given moment.
tata for now!!

I had no idea someone could copy a picture, but just now I tried it and see it's so.
-
-
Hubby is out walking, boy is he restless. He is doing well.....Thanks for all the support.
-
Mary-Lou, that is wonderful to hear. I guess the fact that he feels restless is a good thing. Take care and gentle hugs.
Maybe he needs a nice walk on the beach with you.

-
That's good news MARY LOU.

-
I guess the person who copied your words and pics had run out of intelligent thoughts of their own. Yes, it is kinda pathetic.
-
Biker!! It's been ages. I hope all has been well with you. Nice to see you back on the Beach. Did you lose your flip flops? Just in case.......here is a new pair.
........and a pair of sun glasses.
-
Does anyone know about the computer virus that will go around tomorrow??
Keeping our totem for protection from it..

-
Just a quick pop in Beachies....
I talked with Toyfuls Chemo Nurse Friend just a little bit ago.....She has not heard from her either.
She said she thinks she is coming home today & will let me know how things are as soon as
she hears anything. We Are thinking she got Lost in the Greatness of Her Trip!!!!
So I am thinking that Hawaii is Wonderful Blessing for "TOY"!!!
Waving to All from A to ZZZZZZZZZZ & in Betweens!
-

Now, for all my friends. I wish you a very good evening and I am very drained right now so I will talk to you all in the morning. love and hugs.
Thank you Sahalie for your lovely words, they really cheered me up, love ya.
-

Our children and Love equal our children and our love.
-
Oh Spar, I'm sorry you are having to go through all this. Sahalie gave you good advise.
Hello Sharon. I've had a lot of issues in my life lately, the most recent being a total knee replacement 4 weeks ago. Bleah! Thanks for the flip flops!
Hey there, Julz of the Beach! How are you?
Sahalie, I also find it sad that the beach has changed. I went back and read the first few pages and had such wonderful memories of friends no longer posting here. I could do with a little less drama right now myself.
-
Janny * What a HAPPY happy wonderful surprise to see your posts.
