Had Mx 3weeks ago and just got the path report this afternoon.  An 8.3 cm mass, with 6/10 nodes, one with extracapsular signs and some lymphaticvascular invasion.  Will follow up with med onc on Wed.

I went into surgery with no nodes visible on scans and a 5.3 cm mass.  This was a real disappointment.

Before surgery med onc had said progonsis was 75% for no nodes, 50% for 1-4 nodes and 30% for 5-9 nodes and 20% for more than 9.

Can I hear something positive from my BC sisters?

    First...thisisme....scans can be unreliable.

I have seen many woman on here post that their pre-surgery scan says such and such. Then after surgery their path report says different.

I can imagine the shock you must be going through. There are ALOT of woman on this board who have had more nodes positive than you. I'm sure some will be chiming in.

Did you have all your chemo before sugery? Your onc might plan on offering you more. Some woman do half of their chemo before surgery then the other half after.
