Our Escape
This thread is for those who want to step out of the day-to-day world that is consumed with Doctors, treatments, side effects, worry, pain, etc. and escape to a place that is silly and fun!
Anything goes, EXCEPT causing anyone more stress in their lives ... so be cool!
ESCAPE to a place that gives you comfort and an opportunity to meet some new friends along the way..

Well good morning Checkum. This looks like a wonderful idea. Lots of times simply being at home gives me comfort but it's fun to imagine isn't it?
I hope you are feeling stronger every day.
Gentle hugs, Sharon.

Here is one of my favorite places for starters....
-
Absolutely Sharon!!! Home is where the heart is...
-
-
-
LOL I hear ya... mine are locked up in these till I take care of them LOL
-
A facial would be wonderful too...
-
I love going to bed with a good book and reading until I want to!
Having a nap on my day off....
Playing music loud in the car!
-
This is a good idea. I have no plans for the day, but it is NOT dr or medical stuff. However, Thursday I get a herceptin tx and Muga scan. Can't escape it completely, but I am trying. Take care of 2 things while I am over there... Try as I might, I cannot post pictures, but bubble bath looks good.
-
Hi Barbe.... Nice to see you here. My favorite thing is reading.. it is the ultimate escape for me. Naps are wonderful and being silly in the car with a great song is a hoot!!!
-
I love to walk down a country lane.
Edit to delete a blank space
2nd edit to try to add a country lane.

Beautiful pics ladies! I wanna go! Are we there yet?
-
Hi Lefty...
Posting pics is a bit of a process. Here is how I do it... first I do a search for pics of what I want to add a visual piece to... like I just googled "singing to the radio pics"
Up comes a bunch of pictures... I find one and right click on it and save it to a folder
Then I go to Image Shack and upload it to get the link that allows me to post it here
Then you click on the little picture icon to the left of the smily face in this box and post the link on the line that says Image URL, then go down near the Dimension boxes (anywhere) and click so that the image size is loaded and then submit... that is really it... still sounds complicated though LOL
-
Hey Sharon, I saw those clouds over here just yesterday!
-
How do you know what image size? The one for our avatar is automatic....
-
Barbe... you are there - whereever you want to be
Sometimes when I have hiked to the top of a mountain it has helped to give me a new perspective on just how much bigger the world around me is...
-
The Dimension (size) fills in automatically - but you need it to fill in before you submit it so that the image posts correctly
-
I just google a pic and either use the thumbnail or the larger pic if that works. Then I click copy, go back to the thread and paste. It's a bit harder than that but I am not very computer savy and can't remember all the steps. Only in my dreams, lol.
-
I have a macintosh, which is much easier than others at times. But it does not like posting pictures. It could also be that I do not have windows. One of these days I will "get it" and you had better watch out... LOL. The Cherry Blossoms are almost ready to burst here ( i am near DC ). A stroll along the Tidal Basin is very peaceful. The bartlett pear trees are in full bloom and it looks like a bridal convention with white blooms filling the scenery.
-
and of course... my dogs always help to change my perspective if I am having a tough day...
-
Will this do ok Nancy?
-
Wow. What a great new idea, Checkum.
My car is an "Escape" and it takes me to some great places...........
This could be my first yellow one -- my DD has it now @ school & mine is red, as they no longer have the yellow version:
Nice to meet some new faces!!
-
Ahem, Checkum, you have the dubious honour of posting the first red X
Ahem, and I have the dubious honour of seeing the first red X and NOW I see a picture.
-
Nancy..... I'm coming to the DC area on Wed. Day after tomorrow!! Thanks for the weather report.
-
LOL - Faith - glad you are here.... I had an Escape too ROTFL
-
ya - what the heck happenned -- ok I am on the search for Nancy and tidal pools - I think I have a good one
-
Hey guys!!!!!!!!! What a cooooool thread!!! Well, there's lots of things that make me "happy". My family being the first, then my dogs of course........then there's these....4-wheelers. My DH and I love to ride miles and miles through ATV trails........so relaxing being out in the woods----away from it ALL!!! Thanks Checkum......this is gonna be fun!
Ok.......I'm weird. I name my cars and 4-wheelers. I'd like you to meet "Big Bird" and "Gump"
