Way to go Deb!!!
-
I have not had a chance to visit since thursday and boy did I miss alot. I love reading all of your days' adventures and seeing all of your pics. I have been running around to kids activities and trying to buy new appliances for a brand new house (we build homes for a living) we are forced to rent (rather then sell) due to the economy. I have been out and about since morning with my 3 kids (22 months, 7 years, and 11 year old) and let me tell you how exciting that can be
. My 7 year old put my 22 month old in a dryer at Lowes, I literally had a bird
when that happened Well, I'm proud of what I have acomplished in the last 2 hours: I set off my robotic vacuum in my bedroom, threw in a load of laundry, dusted my baby's room, threw the robotic vacuum in his room, dusted my room, made my daughter hang up the load of laundry (it's amost 70 degrees here in CT), threw another load of laundry, had my daughter vacuum our stairs and cat walk, i dusted the family room and some blinds, had my daughter hang up a 2nd load of laundry, I threw in a 3 rd load in and that one I will have to throw into the dryer since no room on the laundry line and now I'm in here reading everyone's posts and writing. Now I'm off to put the clothes in the dryer and throw another load in. Have a great weekend everyone! BTW, I love the idea of banking!
I fogot to mention I wet mopped my kitchen floor too in that time. I guess the spring weather is making me want to spring clean today. I hope it lasts.
-
Happy Birthday Coonie!!!!
I even made you a chocolate cake
.
-
I just did errands today - no housework. I had to drop the dogs off at the groomers at 8:30 this morning. On the way home picked up 3 prescriptions. Met my sister for lunch. Went to Wal-Mart for cat food. Went to Costco for roasted chicken for dogs (yes, for the dogs!). I'm worn out!!
Deb - good for you about your decision to stop smoking. I have a really good friend that told her husband that he didn't have to quit just because she was; however, if she took up smoking again and got lung cancer it was on his head. He quit too!
-
Deb - Congrats and Welcome!! Please quit!! Don't let you DH smoke in the house. I truly hope you do this. We are here for you!! It is very difficult to do but you can do it and we can help. I look foward to the posts in the morning saying that you were ciggy free!! Best of luck to you!!
Thanks for the day off Coonie. I hope you enjoyed your birthday!!
-
Oh, you girls are too funny! I have to go back & read through the last few pages to get caught up everything.
Happy Birthday, Coonie!!
I swear I'm asking for a robotic vacuum cleaner for my birthday next month!
-
Kathi - be sure to lwt us know when your birthday is so we can all have the day off!!
I want a roomba too!
-
It was so beautiful here today but now the storms are suppose to be heading our way. I'm gonna try to get out one day and take some pictures of our scenery here. The bradford pear trees are out in full bloom and when they are in long rows its so snowy white its beautiful. Today we were looking at one of the horse farms up on a knoll and there were two gorgeous horses running in the field playing together. So beautiful. I just wish I had my camera handy.
Kak its surprising isn't it how many posts we can have in just a day or two.
I think I"m gonna have to take a speed reading course to keep up!
-
Hey ladies!!!!!!! Well, I didn't get a robotic vacuum cleaner, but I did get a purse and 3 new tops. I'm kind of a purse fanatic......that is my weakness.
Pam, I thought about you today while I was walking in that mall, you better not fool around with that much bleeding. You only have so much blood.....you REALLY need to see about getting that stopped ASAP!! I'm worried about you!!
Denise I like your age motto.....so....I'm only 21,.....uuuummmmm what would be the reason that I feel 91 then? OH I know I know....chemo, arimidex, etc. etc.
Deb-From-OhioYou are gonna WIN THIS BATTLE!!! Girl, I know you can do this. I've been my own grandmother who moked for 45 years, just put the pack down and never picked it up again, and never even WANTED to pick it up again. She did just great. She had made her mind up. She felt so much better....because she could taste her food better, she could smell better, she could breath better....just think of all the things that will improve by quitting. GO GIRL GO GIRL GO GIRL GO GIRL!!!!!
Hey Liz....the balloons and the cake was just too much
You all were supposed to be taking off today, remember??? That's just so sweet.
2new1s..I have liked you avatar ever since I first saw it. Of couse you belong here. This is one of the finest groups of sisters you'll ever meet. We have a hoot on here everyday. Some of us don't do anything, while we watch other do EVERYTHING
But we cheer each other on throughout their day. I guess you can say we're kinda like a counseling group
So you just sit right back, flip that computer on, and just tell us what's on your heart, and if one of us can't fix it, the next person will..........
hehe yeah Kathi I should have ask for the vacuum cleaner instead of a purse, but, uuuuumm. wellllll.... ummmmmm I, thought,,,,,,..and uuuummmm............saiiddjuuuuummm NO ME WANT PURSE!!!
So, who has a birthday tomorrow so we can take Sunday off too:)
-
Coonie, I am a purse pig too!!!!!!!! My husband understands....he gets to buy jackets. That's his pig.
Liz, darling, you have to slow down. You're going to make us all look bad. You don't have to do anything until Labour Day. Get it? hehehehehhe
-
Here's a little something from all of us Coonie for your birthday
-
or if you're not into Coach bags how about a Louie Vitton
-
Can you believe I actually did housework on coonie's birthday?? Yep..i did. It's only because I have company coming over tonight. No, it's not that gentleman from Loooosiana. It's a couple i have been friends with for many years...2 of the first people I met when I moved to nebraska. I went to the Ice Hockey game with them tonight and now they are on their way over to just hang for a while. So...in anticipation of actually socializing in my house... i picked up my mail piles and consolidated them into ONE pile. I vacuumed the upstairs and the basement. I cleaned the guest bathroom. The dishes have all been done. My bedroom is somewhat tidy in case they want the grand tour. Can you tell I'm excited?? I sure can....it's making my tummy hurt i'm so excited!!
I'll take the cute white Louis Vitton purse.. that first one in the row. It's my favorite one of the bunch. My birthday isn't until September....but since you all missed my birthday we can celebrate it late.
Deb...you can do it!! Smoking is for the birds....keep up the good work!!
Liz... a baby in a dryer at the Lowes?? OMG... did u scream or did you laugh yourself silly? I would have laughed so hard I would have pee peed myself.

Deb went to bed last night without having had a cigarette so here's an official YOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO from all of us.
-

Pam

Thought I'd share some of the things I love about home here in central Ky. This is a typical scene of one of the horse farms. I love seeing the horses roaming and playing in the fields with the white or black fence just setting the scene.
-
Oh man, what a beautiful picture. I love horses and countryside. (Not to mention that palace-like barn in the background.)
-
Sharon if you want a palace how about this. Its a castle a man in Versailles Ky (the next town over from us) built for his new bride who fell in love with the castles she saw when they honeymooned in Europe. They wound up divorcing before the castle was finished and it sat empty for years and years. Just recently someone finally purchased it and there has been talk of it being a bed and breakfast that will finally be opened to the public.
-
Deb congratulations, one day at a time.
Pam still hopeing the bleeding will stop.
Sharon someone would have to clean all those windows in the castle!!!
Mom KY is some beautful
Coonie Glad you had a nice b-day your house should be clean in cyberspace
I got so much cleaning done yesterday I have only the one room left and thing I can do some cooking and make those cookies I have been craving. Tomarrow is chemo day so I will have alot of catching up to do on tues,
Everyone have a great day
Denise
-
Coonie that didn't make any sense what I said. What I am trying to say is because of all the cleaning I did yesterday was my gift to you. Like a cyber maid.
-
Denise thinking of you today and tomorrow
-
I emptied the dishwasher and put last night's dishes in but didn't do the pot. That's how I rebel...ehehehehehehe
Now I'm at work on this very rainy day. I'm from Vancouver so I love the rain. I feel that it cleanses everything.
-
Oh gosh, yes, what a lovely "palace". As for the windows........hahaha.......lets hope they are self cleaning.
Years ago DH and I stopped in at Churchill Downs and I walked on the track........that was quite a thrill. Also we visited The University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm. What a place!!! (There is no green with envy emoticon.)
I wrapped my arm. Does that count as work? It certainly counts as a pain in the patootie.
Pam, hope today is better.
Wow, good job with the no cigs..........way to go Deb.
Happy house cleaning gals. Is there such a thing?
It's raining here too........we need some to green things up. The robins need worms too I'm sure.
-
as of now, officially 24 hours without....and posting this was my one thing to do today or do we get Sunday off?
Thanks to all
Deb
-
I don't know Deb if you've done the job for today OR are able to bank it. hehehehe.
But 24 hours.......great. See, now you know you can do it.
-
Congrats Deb!! Keep up the good work!!
-
Hey everybody!!! Happy Sunday to all of you.
Mom......the pics were beeeeutiful!!!! I've never been to Kentucky, but I've heard
and now seen, that it is a beautiful state. Oh, and I'll take one of EACH of those purses you posted. I'm not that picky. Just give me a purse, and I'm happy. I guess 'cause I don't have to try them on, I enjoy buying purses more than clothes. I really HATE trying on clothes.
heheee Denise...I knew what you meant:) I think we all should have a wonderfully clean cyberspace home:)
Deb!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!! 24 HOURS IS SOOOOOO GREAT!!! I'm so glad for you. And I think you're just earned many many points for the rest of the year!!! I wish I could just hire you a maid for your great accomplishment;) I would if I could!!!
(((((((((((big hugs to everybody))))))))
Those palace pictures are so nice! Wouldn't it be great if we could all just spend a week together in one of those........with maids and cooks of course
-
Deb be sure to scroll up the page to your official yahoo for a job well done on your first smoke free day! We're here for you.
Maybe when it opens we will have to have a girls weekend and rent a few rooms there. Wouldn't that be fun! I'm not into the party scene but would love to share some quality time with friends from here on the board. Plus its not all horse farms and picket fences, theres lots of shops, movie theatres, pools etc... (Remember we're helping the Prez with the economic thing this week
).
-
I think there should be many points for an arm wrap.
Funny that most of the nurses cannot do a le wrap - would have to have my friend do it, so she got to stay outside of visiting hours. And even after watching a complete wrap they still could not do it. Lucky my friend wanted to stay as late as possible.... we could turn a twenty minute job into a litte over an hour.... hahahahah
