Alternative medicine as cure for cancer is getting popular, with good results. I have several first hand testimonies of survivors through alternative medicine. I switch into alternative medicine just a week ago, March 23, 2009. I was just introduced to the medical doctor who specializes in Homeopathy and Homotoxicolgy last march 14, 2009 by a luekemia survivor since 2007.  His medication is bio-oxidative and chelation therapy.  I am now taking Elemental Selenium and Arabinoxylan Beta Glucen. This doctor asked me to have blood test like CEA and CA 15-3 or I5-3 These are tumor test which the oncolgist won't prescibe. I should have these test results during my next check-up, April 13. These will further determine the medicine that he will give me.  The other medicines he asked my to research on are Biobran MGN-3 and Lentin Plus.

So I encourage you to consider alternative medicine.  Find a doctor in your area.  I will keep you updated with my development. By background is: I have breast cancer IDC,stage 1.  I finished my 4 cycles chemotherapy before I learned the alternative medicine. Alternative medicine doctors don't allow chemotherapy nor radiation treatments.

Who said oncs won't prescribe CEA or CA 15-3 tests?  I know mine does them and CA 27-29, regularly.

Hiya...you may find the Alternative, Complementary & Holistic Treatment

forum interesting too...If by alternative doctors you include naturopaths, my naturopath was indeed pretty helpful, but she never contradicted my oncologist or GP and absolutely "allowed" rads & chemo...she works cooperatively with all, and advises me on how to support my system as I go thru treatment.  It doesn't have to be either/or...I figure if I've got a heart attack, a broken bone, cancer, etc., I like to hear what western medicine has to offer, because they're good at this stuff.  Chinese medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, and more have a lot to offer us...Good luck with your treatment:  you sound well satisfied with your doctor...keep an open mind!

Unlike most supplements, these products are made from organic foods, not synthetics. Visit the Naturally Nova Scotia website for more information.

Alternative medicine is unproven and unregulated.

Choosing it as primary treatment for breast cancer is like playing Russian Roulette.

Choosing it as a supplemental treatment without consulting your oncologist could compromise the efficacy of your prescribed treatments.
