Cathi those babies are sooooo cute! -
Oh Pam, so sorry about what's going on.
Gentle hugs.
-
-
Yw Mom, but the stock market was down this aft. Ah well, you can keep the ring.
-
Thank you guys.
Im actually hemmoraging. So the Imodium wont help- Sure wish it would. Stupid Plavix- a blood thinner that my Cardio has me on. Im not taking it ever again. Im done. Ill still be on an aspirin a day. That will be plenty.
Pam
-
Oh no Pam, are you ok? I did that right before I finally stopped my monthly cycles, but if you're having it from meds you need to go in and be seen. At least let them check your blood count.
Ok just went in and read your thread and Pam you really need to go see someone. People on blood thinners can bleed out fast.

So, court was a no-go today. I got a call from my attorney and she settled everything over the phone with jerkwad's attorney. Now, let's hope that he actually does what he's supposed to!! Needless to say, my huge pile of clean laundry is still a huge pile...actually an entire loveseat full of clean laundry!! grrr I am getting my 11 yr old to do chores since he chose not to do his homework that was due today(His teacher stopped me in the hallway after school to let me know this). I am a little peeved at this so he will empty the dishwasher, fold that mountain of laundry, vacuum the carpets, and clean the downstairs bathroom. Does this count for me? Can I bank any of this?
Pam, i am sorry to hear about your bleeding. i hope your doctor can do something for you.
-
Man Cali you're one tough mom
-
Pam...I am sorry!!
Well here is my plan for Spring Break this next week!!!
My kids and I are going thru ALL of their clothes (winter and summer) and get rid of alot of it. Go thru all the shoes and limit the clothing to about 10 outfits for each season (about 25 total outfilts). Then they are going to clean all the kids bedrooms top to bottom (4 bedrooms) and then I hope to get the playroom decluttered and lots of toys cleared out.
I also want to get a rubbermaid bin for each kid to keep their favorite stuff in.
-
Hey ladies! Well, it seems like everybody has had an interesting day! Hey Barbe, remind me to let you take care of my affairs when I need something done
Are you an attorney? hehe I just hate taking my car in for repair. I think sometimes they just think they can take advantage of a lady.
Hey mom...it looks like you did pretty good for a yard sale day. I mean....how many times do you get a DIAMOND RING?? Whew..that's one nice ring Sharon gave you, huh?
Pam, I really hope you get to feeling better soon. Bless you heart!! That sounds very serious. And I thought my fluid retention sounded yucky.
I love the pics of the babies too Cathi....soooo cute:)
Cali...hehe that's funny----jerkwad !!
Kimberly sounds like you've got a good plan in place. I like the big totes for storing things. They last FOREVER too!
Hope you ladies have a great weekend. Maybe we've all earned a little banking interest this week and can take some time off for ourselves:)
(((((((((((big hugs to everyone)))))))))))
-
I MADE DINNER. There, it is in black and white now for all eternity...
-
wooohoooot.....way to go Barbe!! You definitely don't have to do ANYTHING until Labor Day!!
-
This is for all you new ladies who have joined us lately and haven't gotten the official glitter Welcome. We don't want to leave anyone out. This is the official non alcoholic Cheers where everybody knows your name (errr Avatar????) place to go for some chat, fun and yes maybe even a little housework!
-
Cali - I think because you gave the "orders" to your 11yr old, it counts, and you can BANK the extras so as I see it you are good until July 4th.
Pam please go to ER or DR, somewhere soon -PLEASE!!!!
Barbe -way to go DINNER - yeah.
Well girls have a great weekend, mostly likely won't be back before Monday.
XOXOXOXOXOXO -Cathi

Tackled a bit today for me, still under the weather, but got dishes done, made cookies ... my own recipe I made up today, love doing that, and they turned out yummy, then made liver for dinner, boxed scalloped taters and string beans ... need the iron my momma said, and just took my shower. So, I feel accomplished, smelling pretty and gonna go back and bake on the sofa for a while.

Checking my email, gf sent this (I edited the content so it wasn't cursing - hope you can read the word I changed)...
be careful if your kids are hollaring from the door!
-
LOL.. I made dinner too! Heated up canned refried beans.. spread them on already fried tortillas...sprinkled on already cut up lettuce and already shredded cheese. OK.. does that count for 'making' anything? It sure doesn't seem like it. Oh well.. the tostadas were delish!! I haven't done the dishes yet...but the dishwasher is empty, thanks to my lil boy the homework skipper.
Nana, my mom tried to make me eat liver and onions.. ugh.. well, she tried and was totally unsuccessful. I hear it's very good for you though. Baking on the sofa sounds great! Are we having popcorn and a movie? what kind of cookies did you invent?
I want to go to a yard sale!! I think sunday it's going to be 56 degrees here. Maybe there will be some good yard sales happening. I need to buy some more fishy poles. I have 4 now. need more! Wait... sunday might be a better day to go catch me some fishies. I still have worms in my fridge.
Kimberly...your spring break sounds dreadful!! can't u think of something more FUN and less WORK???
-
Caligrl, here's what I did:
took 8 oz cream cheese, 4 oz crunch peanut butter, mixed really good with 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar and 1 tsp vanilla.
then I beat in 3 eggs, really good till it looked whipt
mix together 3 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 cup cocoa, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, and at least 12 oz. chocolate chips (i used semi sweet) and gradually blend it into the stuff you mixed already (if i'm going to make a cookbook, better get my wording better
- I make a lot of my own recipes and my kids keep telling me I should write a cook book) LOL
I came to the amount of flour by gradually adding it until i thought it was thick enough.
Then i baked it on an ungreased cookie sheet, dropping it by big spoonfuls, for 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
it's a moist, fudgy chocolate, chocolate chip cookie. i think the cream cheese and peanut butter instead of using butter makes it moister.
and of course there are absolutely NO calories in this recipe.
My daughter stopped on the way home and I gave her 1/2 the batter so she could bake them up for her kids (I only bake 6 cookies at a time so I always have them fresh ... I live by myself and if I were to bake them all at once, i'd probably eat too many - I enjoy them more when they are more 'right out of the oven' ) I'll probably cook more in a couple of days.
-
Oh my god!! That sounds so good!! Do you write the recipes down when you create them? I think a cook book is a great idea!
Thank you for sharing your recipe!! The no calorie part sounds ideal too.
Stacy
-
Yum Nana those do sound good!
-
Caligirl, you "assembled dinner". But it still counts.
My huband and I with one of the boys once built a very ornate gazebo from a pre-cut kit. We showed our neighbour what we had "built" and when he found out how we did it he said we didn't build it, we assembled it. It's a running joke in our family. And now yours!
