Wishes for Slonedeb

While spring has sprung and birds do sing, our southeast days' warmth has not quite begun
So stoke the fire, come sit with us, lets join our hands and lift voices in trust
To Heaven above, we now pray for Deb, let peace be hers not pain nor dread
May sister Angels join us too, and by shadows felt, attend to Deb to do
Their special ways, their heavenly tasks, unknown to us but known to You
May Deb join us today if only in her dreams, we'll keep her warm amidst the trickle of a stream
Of Light, which does so beautifully shine, as our sun does the equator transiently find.
Blessings to all who share here today, may we feel each other's support in our own special way.

Slonedeb. Just back from my appointment with my own onc.
I always feel just fine till I must go back to that office. In seeing so many others there who are in difficult straights I think immediately of you and our Kbug and the strength and fortitude that you have demonstrated as you've ridden the various storms associated with this journey.
I am humbled by your example. You have taught me so much.
Thank you for your continued faith, in the face of the storm. May there be a rainbow that follows you -- giving the promise of care and mercy as it shines down and lights your way.
We all continue to pray...... asking for miracles. Listening to the will of our Creator. Attempting to understand how suffering and pain fit into His plan for our lives. I ask for compassion to be showered on you and for your medications to help bring you a day filled with relief.

Dearest Deb, Sending thoughts and prayers your way. I continue to pray that you are surrounded by your loved ones and that you continue to experience the peace of our Lord Jesus. May you have relief in your breathing and pain. Thinking of you often. I'm sorry this is such a rough storm.
-
Hugs Slonedeb. When I go for a walk, I think of you.

Slonedeb. We've had rain all day. Washing the world anew with hope for the flowers to come.
Our bushes are starting to show some promise of buds. A few bulbs pushing forth, in protected spots. Here and there scattered with bird songs. I hope that you can see some promise thru your window.
We're all gathered round. We'll sing softly round the campfire that's been tended since your last post.

It's been a long, trying day here at bc.org, Deb for so many of our sisters. I know you would wish them all well, in your own way as they "ride out your storm". I miss you Deb. But I'm glad to know DH is there to care for you as you both have been for each other over the years. Our circle was well rounded today, Deb. The fire tonight is just right, not too hot nor to weak. We'll sing our faithful sounds and songs tonight, and still be here for you in morning light.((Hugs))Tender

I am praying your pain is being managed and you are comfy. Had my chemo today you guessed it had a few hives today. More steroids were given then chemo continued. So am tired but took a nap. Hang in there my dear Deb.
Lord bless Deb and all her Sloane Rangers. I know you are able and know what is best. May Deb be able to enjoy each day and to be pain free and comfy. Wrap your love around her and her dear family. I praise you and continue to look up. Amen

Hugs Slonedeb and Bug and all the Slonerangers.

Good morning, Deb
I hope you were able to have a good night's sleep. Deb, we all have guardian angels. I teach CCD (sunday school) and I always tell the children about their angels. Here is the angel prayer that I teach them each year.
Angel of God, my guardian dear
To whom God's love entrusts me here
Ever this day be at my side
To light and guard
To rule and guiede. Amen.
Be assured that your guardian angel is sitting with you watching over you.
Be assured that we are all with you too.
May you have a peaceful day.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Slonedeb, the image of the campfire brings back so very many wonderful memories for me. We were a camping family and literally took cross country trips with our tent and sleeping bags. Hiking thru the national parks during the day and then always a campfire at night.
We'd tell stories and sing songs, and laugh and cajole one another over the days adventures. I can remember some big storms while we were in that tent at night. While I'd shiver with the sound of the lightning overhead, my father would calm us with a story, or mom would sing us a song.
We are all here, gathered close to share. We continuously join in prayer that your pain be tolerable. I wonder if you continue to sleep more as you've reported recently? Maybe we can join you in those dreams and dash thru flower strewn hillsides as little girls, again.
I am packed for another of my road trips and will be mostly absent for the next couple of days. I'm so grateful that there are so many SloneRangers to help keep you company. I will be holding you in my heart.

Slonedeb. I'm safely up in MI.
I've been listening to a 'books-on-CD' series entitled, "Heaven is Real."
I was able to get it from our library and would highly recommend it, if there's any way that someone could track it down for you.
The author is a pastor and was declared dead for 90 minutes -- he also wrote the book, "Ninety Minutes in Heaven." His story is so incredible. Amazing and inspirational.
I feel so fortunate to have listened to it on the drive here.
Now I'm going to have to track down the first book.
Slonedeb. Heaven is real. I hope that heaven can wait. I think you still have much to teach us. I know that you're giving your all. Praying for a miracle.
Hoping that you're able to rest.
Big hugs to your husband and to your whole family.
