Pam-
At 1st I was going to let the dogs in from running outside until I saw mud on their paws so I changed my mind quickly. Usually they help to clean up any crumbs nicely but I didn't want to add mudd to the cereal. The funny thing is I don't know where they found the mud since it's been dry here for a while. May be there was some snow that melted or they decided to dig. I don't know.
Barbe-
Oreo cookies in the washer....OMG!!!! That's real bad. LOL I remember those washers from when I was a little kid, my mom refused to buy an automatic for a long time. My mom believes that if it's not broken then you don't replace it. She's from the old school.
-
Whew!! It sounds like some of you are having ALOT of fun:) I think this calls for a little chocolate. I've gotten all laundry done, and now I'm fixin to vacuum and mop floors. The craving for chocolate is all Barbe's fault....'cause she mentioned oreo cookies:)
Hey Sharon...I think Wally, Lucky and Opie could get that cereal cleaned up real quick, don't you
OK ladies.....off to get my floors cleaned.
-
In a heartbeat Coonie!!
-
In my earlier post, my dogs didn't have mud on their paws, it was horse manure
!!!!!! My husband picked some up for our garden and spread it. The dogs got into the horse manure that was in the garden....they smell sooooo bad
!!!! I refuse to have to give them a bath too. I really can't believe this. This is not a good day.
Yes, chocolate would be nice about nice.
-
Oh man, and don't dogs love horse manure!! Hugs Liz.
-
Hi everyone,
Finally got something done ... dishes, woo hoo, woopie! lol, silverware still soaking, will do that in a little bit.
You all are a hoot ... love reading the posts, so many if I even miss 1/2 a day!
Been fighting a low grade fever all week. My MRSA has reared her ugly head and have 3 spots. doc put me on anti viral and anti biotics. These spots are painful, and grow so fast. I pray the meds take care of them. I see my onc on Monday and will see if I need immunoglobulins then.
-
Oh No Liz!!
I bet they smell.

Naughty Dogs!
Oh Man- good thing they did not come in the kitchen...I hope they didnt track any of that in!

Nana...so sorry you are feeling yuck. Maybe things will turn around for you next week:) (((((hugs)))))
Ok...........now I'm REALLY gonna vacuum
Oh, I did just put some red beans/sausage in the crock pot for tonight. That's pretty easy..........and I used white onion, instead of green

Just found this link and know I need to be part of it.
Since my BM in September, I have a hard time getting anything done. I do manage to wash clothes once a week and wash dishes before I cook at lease twice a day. SO mentioned dust on wood work yesterday. Actually said that he can't get any good help these days! I am the one going through reconstruction. Well, anyway, I am off to attempt cleaning out the linen closet.
Additionally, later this week, I have to visit my home where I haven't stayed in months. Its an old family house and now we are renting out a room, but I must go get spring clothes. When I do this that will mean having to organize and put them away here. I truly hate doing things these days. -
Welcome Pinky. I hope you showed SO where the dust rags are!
-
Oh LIZ, you innocent child! Too funny! There's no mud here, where did they get it!?HEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHE
I'm sorry but that takes the cake for today! You win. There is no more contest. Liz is having the worst day. They are going to be cold little doggies all night if Daddy doesn't feel like washing them when he comes home....
-
Barbe -I had one of those washers my very first, I was so happy and proud, my parents bought it for me after my first daughter was born - for Diapers -The real kind, Pampers were about all that was available back then and I was to poor to afford those all the time, they were "going out" diapers.
You know if you order take out for dinner and place it on real plates it counts as "preparing dinner" and it also counts twords your #1 thing, well actually you could get 3 things - you have to go get it - you have to put it on real plates and you have to do the dishes.
And I think BANKING should be allowed -LOL
-
Coonie - loved your picture & note.
Since I live with my sister she does have a housecleaner come in every other week. I have to "clean" up for the maid. As I have gotten older I just don't care because the cleaning is not worth the pain in my joints and back. Most of my life I have been a clean fanatic - the clothes in my closet had to be color coordinated, the silverware in the drawer had to be stacked neatly. My floors had to be cleaned on hands and knees.
My sister, as a doctor, only works, sleeps and eats and when she can shops. And I do mean shops. She also used to be so neat. Two of the bedrooms in her house are filled to the brim with collections, clothes, books and all the stuff she buys. She buys in multiples. Bags are laying around with new stuff never taken out of them. She had one whole wall of one bedroom turned into shelves for her bean babies. The closet in that room in filled to the brim with baby clothes (for her pregnant co-workers) and Barbies. The room I am currently in typing this is the library which is where she dumps papers, mail, new purchases, and her scrap booking supplies.
There is not a closet (or even the garage) to put anything else in. Everything is loaded!
Almost every day is like Christmas - a new package arrives. While she may not be able to get to stores she still has the Internet!
-
I got one big box filled up with junk and I filed the callous on my foot eewww. Going into town and have a cup of coffee before my massage AHHHH Oh the one load of wash is still in the washer.
Liz I would defently(sp) go back to bed, take the rest of the day off and read a good book.

Just to make you smile
A Woman's Random Thoughts
If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it will always be yours. If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with. But, if it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money, and doesn't appear to realize that you had set it free ... You either married it or gave birth to it.
Insanity is my only means of relaxation.
Reason to smile: Every 7 minutes of every day, someone in an aerobics class pulls a hamstring.
Women over 50 don't have babies because they would put them down and forget where they left them.
One of life's mysteries is how a 2 pound box of candy can make a woman gain 5 lbs.
My mind not only wanders, it sometime leaves completely.
The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes.
The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you're doing, someone else does.
The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends.
Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.
Sometimes I think I understand everything, then I regain consciousness.
I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting my pantyhose on fire.
Amazing! You hang something in your closet for awhile and it shrinks two sizes!
Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like, "You know, sometimes I just forget to eat." Now I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name, and my keys. But I've never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat.
A friend of mine confused her Valium with her birth control pills. She had 14 kids but she doesn't really care.
They keep telling us to get in touch with our bodies. Mine isn't all that communicative but I heard from it the other day after I said, "Body, how'd you like to go to the six o'clock class for invigorating toning? "Clear as a bell my body said, "listen witch ... do it and die."
The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing and then they marry him.
I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are: eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That is my idea of a perfect day.
I know what Victoria's Secret is. The secret is that nobody older than 30 can fit into their stuff.
If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a noose around your neck?
-
Kathleen, I had to post this for your sister
Mom---I REALLY LOL'd at your post. I especially like the one about the 2lb box of candy adding 5lbs. Why is that????!!! And about being "some kind of stupid to forget to eat" heheeee......that's one thing I don't forget to do. Forget to QUIT maybe
OK........I think I need to bank a few things. I did a little more than I thought I was gonna do today. I just had to sit down and reward myself with some cheetos
...that's my comfort food.
Hope all you ladies have a great evening......horse manure and all
-
oh you girls are too funny...lol...I so enjoy reading all these posts
Coonie, I love that pic of the guy
Yes, we call them scallions here in Jersey.
After work, I am going to do a lil food shopping, then to a meeting at Church and then home...see ya later.
-
(Big sigh........) Okay, okay, you can BANK things. But who is going to keep track? Or is that the point?
Loved the 2 pounds of candy thing. That should be something we can say when we don't understand something. Like a Gumpism... If someone says "tljakjli iojoijer tjoijio" you reply "2 pounds of candy!" My family does silly things like that. I was on a photo course with my sister and we were in Missoula, Montana. I took what I thought was a great picture of a kokopeli and another of a black train. (Very hard to get a true black in photography without using a 36% gray scale fix.) When they were put up on the screen for the class, no one was impressed. So my sister and I say "kokopeli on a black train" when we aren't impressed with something someone says. Was that too confusing?
-
Found that piece on the net and thought some of you needed a chuckle today.
-
I'll be the BANKER and if someone tries to CHEAT - Well you get the picture -LOL
-
IT was nice catching up with all of you.....so many funny stories. so many laughs. manure, oreos, messy dogs, banking chores... I have nothing to add except that i actually worked my job again today. 8 full hours! What a busy busy day!! I won't do housework today and i am going out to dinner tonight.
Tomorrow I have to go to a hearing at the courthouse to continue the restraining order against my soon to be ex hubby, so I may not do any housework tomorrow either. Can I please stay in the group? LOL
-
Going to court counts as ONE thing. Of course you can stay! You did more last week than all of us combined!
-
thanks barbe! I promise I'll make it up over the weekend. Next week I'm going to my paying job 3 days!! I might actually be able to support myself again real soon.
-
Holy moly Cali. I'm new here but I'd say it sure does count as one thing AND some in the 'bank'........hehehehe.
Barbe, I'll be in charge of banking if you'd like. I think I'm already about a week ahead of myself.
Really, you can believe me!!!
-
Yikes Cathy, am I the only one who 'didn't get the picture'? Shoot, okay you can be the banker but...........well, still don't see a pic.
Do you accept bribes here?
-
Don't believe her Barbe!!!!
I'll be in charge of banking....you can trust me....honest, you can
I think I'm probably about 10 ahead. Oh, and hey Cali---I would think that legal stuff counts as a WHOLE LOT MORE than one thing. I'd say at least 10 for the day!!! That kind of stuff is THE most stressful!!! Bless your heart!!!
OK........I have a non-housekeeping question. I have been retaining fluid. Uuckk...I know...well, I took a fluid pill last night and I dropped 4.5 lbs OVERNIGHT!!! Why in the world would I have that much fluid?? I've noticed my hands and feet are really swollen and my legs felt really tight, but I've never had this problem before. Anybody ever experience this? You're the smart ones, so I came to you instead of calling my doctor
Diagnosis please...
-
Is he picture supposed to say IMAGE NOT AVAILABLE? Cause that's what I see
-
Hi All, wow you girls are so sharp! What a hoot I've had just catching up with your posts!
It's 9:30 pm here in England so lots of your posts show up whilst I am sleeping! Speaking of which, I am whooped after coming back from London and my scans today. We shall see..In the meantime,
Makraz, thanks for the good wishes for today.
Mum2two, love the pj party theme, I have been considering the same for my daughter's 6th birthday, I love doing that stuff! You wanted more ideas: 1 thing I've done is get wooden spoons, and wooden salad servers from the £ store $ store to you, then getting the kids to make them up into cool characters, puppets;Tressed wool for hair, floral fabric from shirts that didn't fit anymore for dresses, glitter glue/felts for character faces pipe cleaners for arms and 2 way tape tabs to stick it all together.OH DEAR, I forgot your girl is 8,oups, bit too old for that probably!
I also got a more timid girl at my son's Do- nutting party to be the official"event photographer", she had a clip board with pic topics "coolest dancer" "biggest eater" "group pic" etc then at the end, a "panel" of 3 voted a few winners and gave little awards and winner labels. All very official.
Love the SPARKLY "Welcomes"! that you send out to us all. this is a fab conversation. O.K as agreed, will post back when I do some PROPER sorting, ditching and scrubbing, and maybe inbetween too, you girls are a scream.
take care all.

Coonie, I don't know what is going on. Hopefully nothing or something like too much salt yesterday? But if you feel like this tomorrow call the Doc. Don't go into the weekend worrying and wondering.
Gentle hugs.
-
Connie,
Just back to echo Sharon51. Sorry i'd scanned to quick and missed that. We don't have the answer but if it is very different for you and you have been very swollen, i'd check it out before the weekend.
All my best. Shiny
