Susan-It looks like I have to show a house tomorrow after I leave UCSD. I don't think I will have time for a visit. Thanks for thinking of me though.
-
Brenda - I can't tell if I'm getting the healing touch or just touch. I tried reading about it on the web and still don't know. It relaxed me so much, all I wanted to do was sleep - so much for energy!
-
Susan-I have my first appointment on Monday afternoon. The lady just referred to it as a healing so I am not sure exactly what she will do. I am done with the study now.
I just found out my MIL is coming for the week-end. I hope this doesn't mean I can't come Sunday. She had a great time last time she came with me but I think my dh wants us to do something else. We won some free tickets for the Old Town Trolley. Free being the operative word here. I told him Sunday would be to busy and we should go on Monday. I'll keep you posted.
-
Hey--Brenda---what is up- are you coming to my house at 11:30 tomorrow? Hope you can come---bring you mother-in-law!!---
Reservation is for 12:15--We can order downstairs--- or all meet at table upstairs and go back down to order when everyone arrives --might be best so we all eat together---cause WE know Shirley might be a tich late---We love you Shirley and do not care--!!!-
-
Hi ladies,
Unfortunately I'm not able to meet you all tomorrow. I've got three house guests arriving tomorrow afternoon and I'm not organized. Expecting a fourth for dinner, too! Hope it's a beautiful day and that you all enjoy Ki's. Am leaving for Israel on Apr 13 - returning on May 1st. Maybe I can meet up with all of you in May.
Best wishes for everybody's good health.
Hugs, Jeanne
-
Sylvia-I do plan to be at your house at 11:30. My MIL may want to come but I don't know. See you then.
Jeanne-Sorry you can't come but have fun with your family.
-
Another great get together...
We have guitargirl, BMD, Shirlann, SoCalLisa, Sylvia, LisaSDCA, 3boys4me
We missed everyone who couldn't join us..
Thinking ahead,we thought we would keep Saturday the 18th of April open..for
our next lunch....
-
And I am holding my Voo-doo doll - direct from the bayou via our traveler Guitar Girl - to bring only good ju-ju, health and strength. If she could get off some of my god-awful decadron pudge I'll be a convert.
AAARRRRRRRRGGHHH!

I really enjoyed myself today girls. I haven't felt that relaxed for awhile. We did not get to the Old Town Trolley tour. We just pulled off the road at the beach and walked along picking up sea shells for awhile.
-
Ditto what Brenda said - I so look forward to our get togethers. You all listen, and not just about cancer, but about life. And, you don't judge, but instead offer support and encouragement. Thank You!
-
me three - I look forward to this each month too. I just hadn't realized how much shorter than all you guys I am ...
Lisa - glad to see you back in the picture!
-
Lost another one this morning. The wife of someone I used to work with died this morning - cancer spread to her lungs & took her in 2 weeks. Damn, this disease is too scary.
-
Morning-
Hey - BMD or guitarGrl
Do either of you have the phone number for the study? I'm ready to try it.
And guitarGrl - I thought I was short, but you win ;-)
I don't think I shared this at lunch, but Rod and I are trying to stimulate the economy - single handedly - and upgraded from a 21' expandable travel trailer to a 34' Class A RV a couple of weeks ago. We are taking the boys and heading out on our maiden voyage to the river tomorrow. I am so looking forward to some down time!

Susan ~ damn, that is scary. How can that be? Two weeks? I'm having a tough couple-three days with my brain, but I don't think I'm gonna give it up in two weeks. Granted, I don't feel like cleaning out the closets I should be if I were going to go that soon.
Lisa #3 that is a honkin' huge RV! I'll bet the boys are so excited! Where do you stay? That's the size dog show folks prefer to travel in style, with half-a-dozen dogs secure in their crates, and still oodles of room for every luxury for people. W00t!

I have been AWOL while I am trying to learn this new Windows Vista...wow, I need to get the book for "Dummies"..so much I just can't get to work...then waiting til after April 1st to start..well, at least I can get here...
Wow Lisa#3..sounds like the life of Riley with your new RV..I bet you will be having sooo much fun with that
I guess I really stick out in that picture as the "tall" one...maybe we need to reverse the order for the next photo...shortest in the middle...
Funny thing is I was the shortest girl in my class until high school...I grew ten inches in one year..
I have my Nuclear bone scan on Tuesday..yikes..last one I had was over five years ago now
-
Lisa - don't know the phone number, but the email is healing4survivors@yahoo.com
-
Liz ~ You're gonna get nuked for the first time in five years. Yikes - that's a little scarey! What time will the deed be done? Is this because the back glitch just hasn't gone away? I've got mine on the 15th but you'll know well before then.
xxxooo
Lisa
-
Lisa, I have to get there at 0930 for the injection...then I can't remember how long it all takes,
but they won't tell me anything then.... I know..
Yes, it still is the back thingy...I am glad I am going up to visit my doctor son this coming
weekend up in Covina..who knows..
I did get nuked for my stress heart test a year or so ago, ..
-
Liz, they inject - then send you on your way for about 2 hours. When I do it at Hillcrest (UCSD) I always go to Bread et Cie and treat myself! Good luck on the scan and enjoy your son, the doctor! My what my mother would have given for that!!!!
-
Thanks Jeanne, we are proud of our middle son...all of them, of course...but he really did work to get where he is...we missed you last lunch....will you make the next one??
-
Liz - good luck Tuesday - hope it's just a backache ...
same thing Jeanne - my parents were also disappointed that I didn't at least marry a doctor ...
-
Hey Liz, I know two people with Vista that took their computers in and had XP Professional installed, everyone HATES that Vista! That sure is encouraging.
I lit up like a Christmas tree with my bone scan, so many old breaks. Let us know when they tell you.
I had so much fun, we are getting to be a close bunch, we need to go on a cruise, Holland America had the Mexican Riviera for as low as $245 for an inside cabin. Cheaper than staying home.
Hugs, Shirlann
-
Shirlann-A cruise with you on board would be a riot. Wish we could do something like that as a group. Leaving the kids home with dh could be a problem though. I can hear the "it's not fair" screams now.
SoCal-Checking in on you. They have to have news for you by now.
-
Even KAISER has results back by now!!
Lisa
-
I called this afternoon and they said my onc will not be in this week...she forwarded the message to his PA, Noone has called...
-
I agree with Brenda - a cruise with Shirlann - we we wouldn't even need to drink ...
So Brenda - how are the treatments? I still haven't figured out if I'm getting the real treatments or the pseudo treatments.
Liz - that is inhuman. Can't believe they are making you wait. Grr.
-
I called my onc. who was said not to be in the office this week, and I said "Kindly get me the oncologist covering for him or the oncology nurse before 430pm!!" 5 minutes to spare, the phone rang.
Gotta get politely assertive. Hey - who am I telling how to pull rank!?!
Good luck!
Lisa
-
SoCal-that just bites. Keep us posted.
Susan-The Healing Touch session I had Monday last week lifted me the entire week. I absolutely felt better. I was so relaxed and stayed energized right up until today. I love that stuff. There is no drug in the world that can make you feel like that. I couldn't get one this week because the boys are out of school. Now dh has to work Monday next week so I have to reschedule that one. I just can't wait to get in there again.
-
Brenda, you can bring the kids, and hubby too. Our cancer bunch can just have lunch together. They have programs all day for the kids, and they love it. Also, there is no way I would go if you couldn't. So when I see the next really good offer (in winter, they don't go in summer, too hot) we will see.
Love you all, Shirlann
Liz, kick them in the rear!!!! Let us know when you find out.
-
Shirlann-We took the kids on a cruise in Nov of 07. I'd rather go without them next time. I was crowded in that room.
