Larger Left Breast. Should I Be Worried?
I have no pain and no changes in skin the only symptom is that one looks a little bigger than the other. Should I be worried? Did anyone here have only that as a symptom??
So scared Please help!

It is always good to be vigilant, especially with your Mom's history. However, most women's breasts are different sizes. Some more noticeable than others. I wouldn't be concerned about that.

I have to say most women do not have perfect breast symmetry, but I did notice one breast, the one that eventually developed cancer, was larger than the other about four months before I felt a lump. It was the lump that got me moving to the radiologist for my annual mammogram (already had the prescription in hand). I guess I'll always wonder if I had gone to the dr as soon as I noticed the change in size if I would have been spared a stage or two, but that's water under the bridge.
One other thing I have to say...if you have dense breasts, don't settle for a mammo. They often don't see through the desne tissue and cancer can hide. I had annual mammos and it still wasn't seen until the lump was several cm.

Just an update; finally got my mammo report and there was nothing out of the ordinary found! Yay!!
This has felt like the longest wait ever and I spent more time staring at and touching my left breast than anything else! LOL! Upon all of this obsessive self examining I realized that I am considerabley fatter on the left side as a whole -- not just my breast, but the fat on that arm, hip, etc! Never thought I would be happy to say this, but I am thrilled that to be lopsided and would take that over BC anyday!
Thanks to all who prayed with me and sent advice and well wishes my way! As someone who has been affected by BC in the family and now touched by so many of you, I doubt I will stay away from this forum even though my mammo was fine.
And as a writer, I will do my best to get the word out on IBC and BC in general.
