Breathing trouble...

I don't know if anyone else has experienced a kind of feeling as though I have pressure on my chest which is causing me to be very conscious of my breathing. It isn't painful as such just an odd sensation which is worrying. I have indigestion as well and was wondering whether it's linked. I would be glad of any input.

Regards,

Lynnette

Lynette.... I am not sure what you have already had done as far as surgery or treatment. My experience was that after my first surgery I was in the hospital on IV antibiotics for cellulitis and a seroma. I had similar symptoms as you are having. Heavyness in the chest and indigestion. I had pain also but did not realize this until after I was off all the pain meds for bc.  Before I started rads the oncologist suggested I see a gastro specialist. By this point I was in so much pain I could hardly swallow.  I had an endoscopy and found out I had a yeast infection in my esophagus. I was shocked. After he gave me medication to take for 30 days 5 times a day I finally feel better.  I finish the meds tomorrow. I am on my 19th rad tx. I think you should talk to your oncologist to see what he/she would recommend. They say that chemo can also cause infections. These are just my experiences. Nancy

OMG!  I am experiencing the very same thing right now!  Heaviness in the chest...feels like I just smoked a cigarette.  I will be bringing it to my doctor's attention this week.  So strange.

I have it too, but I know what it is.

It's spring. I have asthma, and the plants and trees are starting to come to life. Boy, does this make me sick. Since my diagnosis, I am much more aware of the tightness in my chest, and last year, I actually had tests. It's just that I am paying attention now.
