    downtownfan,

I so glad to see your update.  The smell...I could not believe how bad it could get!  I was working during mine time of open wounds and tried to not let people get too near me. There were times I could not stand myself :)

Continuing my prayers that this will work for your mom.  Bless you and your sister for being there for her. Please keep in touch. I hope this will be a option for others.

    God Bless

    Flalady

I can relate, the skin mets are traveling to my right side and spreading down my left side. If you haven't already, check out ibcresearch.org there is a topical treatment but it requires extra paper work by your doctor, you can print the forms off on that site. It may not be a cure but it has slowed it down and decreased the bumps on many women. I am going to try it. I am glad we have our faith. A verse that has brought me comfort recently is 2 Cor 4:16 "Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day"

    Hi,

I've been reading your postings, my 62 year old mother-in-law is also battling IBC 3negative.  Taxol chemo, radiation, and surgery has stopped this son-of----- cancer.  She had surgery about 4 weeks ago and the cancer is back strong.  She getting ready to start Carboplatin/gemzar chemo treatment.  I wonder if your mom had success with  the Abraxene.  How is she doing now?

We are in the Washington DC area, were are you?  Her doctors are in Richmond, but we are planning to have her see doctors at Gtown.  God bless you and your family.
