My favorite flower, and wanted to share it with all of you! Reminds me of spring (and Faith's avatar!) -
Hey Curlie, I'm sorry to say between chemo and menopause..........my brain is........well hardly functioning but I think that's par for the course. Maybe you will do better. Hope so. I met a lady the other day and after asking her name for the 5th time I finally said......okay, just a minute until I figure out a way to remember. Did a little rhyme thingy and that worked.
I had such a great day today...........the sun helps so much. Hardly any snow left..........so Coonie does not have to shovel off the beach any more.
Gentle hugs to you all. I just love it here.

-
You guys would not believe what I have done for 2 whole hours!!!! I TOOK A NAP. I haven't taken naps since chemo days. I don't know what came over me. I guess I was just so tired after class this morning. DD left earlier to head back to school, the house is quiet, and I just zonked OUT....
I hope I didn't miss anything while I was away.
There's nothing like a good nap on the beach...

-
Sharon....look what you did to the top page??? Beach mother will see that soon
I'm just trying to help you out......
-
Coonie! After all those children this morning..........who could blame you?
Slumber away..........

-
OMG, what did I do to the top of the page? There's a pic. Oh goodness me. Holy muffin mix.........what is wrong????
-
LMAO, I've got to go and reheat the reheated leftovers from last night.
-
Maybe there is a pic, but I sure don't see nothing but a big ole "x"........but it may be my
eyes playing tricks on me.

-
Coonie, I've got a pic!! LOLOLOL. Maybe my puter is slow and the X will show up later. But for now.......lalalalalaala, I've got a pic. Hahahaha.
-
Funny/strange about those X pictures.
-
Well I took a siesta too...why not??
My problem with pictures is that I can't find the ones
I am looking for...I must have taken a cazillion over just
the last couple of years..where the heck are they??
That is the question...

-
Oh Lisa, that is perfect.
-
Glad you like it...I love flowers!!

-
Any pansy pics Lisa?
-
I don't recognize a lot of your flowers.........I am too far north.
-
Those are beautiful Lisa. I remember seeing gobs and gobs of bougenvillia (not sure about spelling), but they were beautiful.....climbing all over the place!!
-
I do have some pansies, but where??
I will be going to Palm Desert this weekend for the tennis tournament
they have pansies there...I will try to take a pic for you...
-
Right now we have fields and fields of california poppies...they are really neat

-
waaawaaawaaaaa....I want too come to california NOW !!

Ya'll can grow anything out there, can't you Lisa?
-
Thank you for all the lovely pictures!!! Lisa I've painted many poppies including Cal. poppies and those pictures always seem to sell first. Post some more, with at least three flowers. I always do 3 or five, not even numbers. Here I go being bossy and telling you what to do....

Thanks again, Artsee

Just back from wrestling with alligators -- no it was grandchildren. Their mommy & daddy went to visit the newborn son of SIL's cousin. They were nearly angelic. I got the three of them half-way round the block to a grand-mother of twins and she was so thrilled to see how these two have grown! She hadn't seen them since infancy buggie days. It was a lovely afternoon & evening.
Jasmine, I've been thinking about you all day...... you and our Mary Lou are going to have to start a support group, within this support system. Hmmmm. Seriously maybe there should be a thread on here for people who have been down-sized, let go, etc etc due to the economy?? Would that be helpful??
Seeing Toy's St. Patrick's Day tree, I'm prompted to realize that perhaps it's time to take down our Christmas tree..... I've had the idea, that since it's small -- I may just move the whole thing, decorations and all, into our guest room. Talk about efficiency. I'll put it back here in the living room the evening of Thanksgiving. I should probably take those silk poinsettas off the front porch, too???
But here's the funny part. Last night when I got home (and was turning the house upside down to find the missing truck keys) I had to squint twice to make sure that I wasn't hallucinating, but my Christmas cactus is in full bloom??? It bloomed just before Christmas..... I guess that it's celebrating the Easter season as well.....so maybe I should leave the tree up another week or so??
-
SAINT!!!!! There ya are girlfriend!!!
You posted while I was typing blathering on about Christmas trees.
It is great for you to share the news of your very-own miracle.
-
-
Hi. Seem to be on everyone's s**t list. Gonna hibernate til the dust settles.
-
Well, just checking in on the Beach Babes before calling it an evening. Thank you for all the pm's of support and post on the beach thread. This is one of the kindest groups on the internet.
Toyful, thinking of you tonight and wishing you sweet rest and pleasant dreams.
Saint, just WOW! Girlfriend, you are a walking talking miracle! What spectacular results. Doing the happy dance for you!
Faith, that is an interesting idea. A support group within a support group within a support board. Hopefully, our numbers will stay small and membership will be hard to acquire.
Curlieqs, Artsee, so nice to see you becoming regular posters at the beach. Our group is growing and its lovely to see all the good that multiplies from one single act of kindness by our Angel/Charlene starting this warm and caring group.
Our group is growing so much that it is hard to remember and list everyone specifically. I think I might start taking turns each day. If I don't mention you please don't take it personal. This is actually a great problem to have....so many Beach Babes that naming each takes too long. How great is that!
