LIFE'S A BEACH!

Just popping in to say that I've checked off my list: bank, pharmacy, library, copy place, warehouse, gas station. All is readied. Mapquest says it's 492 miles. What was I thinking??
As I read back quickly, I am stopped in my tracks as I read your heart rending post, Toyful.
I have no words adequate to address the cross-roads that is before you. Feel free to express your joys and concerns here on the beach. While we may not know how to respond..... we can certainly stand at your side, hold your hand and listen..... saying prayers and offering hugs.
Even tho the beach is 350 pages 'old' we have not faced such a cross-roads with a regular beach bunny. I can only begin to imagine the myriad of emotions that flit thru your heart on any given day. I am so very sorry that you must walk this leg of the journey. Know that you will not have to walk it on your own. We will walk beside you. We will shower you with nonsense and the sublime all stirred up with good food and great views.
Feel free to express whatever is in your heart. We are your beach sisters..... thru it all.
-
I may not be back beach-side till I return on Sunday..... I deplore paying the price for internet in the high-end hotels. Have great fun and commraderie till I return.
Edited cuz we're now on page #351 and we need some friendship pic to remind us what it's all about:

-
A loving note to the new shining shells on this beach who are in treatment and or experiencing such difficult times with your health and our ever worked emotions.
A beautiful woman. An Angel on Earth created this thread in such times for exactly what she posted in her opening of the thread.
"Sisters are like angels,
they lift us up
to our own feet
when our own wings
have trouble remembering
how to fly"
Hoping you will join me here where there is nothing to do but offer love, friendship, support and fun to each other. This journey is a tough one ... let's hold each other up, laugh when we can, cry when we need to, find hope, courage, strength and love with the help of one another. Fun and laughter is important .. it's good for the soul and it's Great medicine! Looking forward to seeing good friends and meeting new ones!
She unfortunately is unable to be with us or take comfort in the very wondrous place she created for everyone to find solace, help and friendship. She looks in though. Her wings guide us across the tides of trouble and also care.
So to those of you who are new. Please know you are on a magical beach where everything good is possible.
With each incoming wave. Also comes in a prayers off the top of the waters.
Enjoy. Comfort. Let the waving waves of this beach wash over you with positive vibes just as the waves that roll in clean the beach and bring in all good things.
Thank You to our Creator of this thread. Bless those who are struggling.
Starfish and the joy of finding that perfect shell to all.
Sahalie

Wow! I missed a lot today when I left the beach to tend to my sunburn

TOY~ So so nice to hear from you. Chemo break? SWEET! That was a good decision so you can really enjoy your trip. I hope now that your pain will be in check by then too.
Sahalie~ Most beautiful post, thank you!
Sharon and Coonie~ The food made me sooooooooo hungry. Thanks for giving me the post-chemo appetite. Now where can I get my hands on some lobster? I get my photos from photobucket too........Faith led me the way and walked me through how to post, thanks Faith! Thanks Coonie for the sweet hugs. Chemo went ok

Faith~ Sweet kids, oh my gosh how cute!!! I loved your pic too with the bangs, lol. I had a fro as a kid (poor Mom had no idea what to do with my curls.......) and I always wanted bangs growing up! Safe travels to you. Best wishes with your convention and workshop. You have tons going on!
Neesie~ Sending prayers to you and your husband. HUGS!
MaryLou~ loved the cutie pie pic too. Kids are such great medicine for me, they make me smile everytime!
Julz~You sound like you work the graveyard shift like I do........ugh. Sorry girl! That is hard, esp when you have kids. I do not, so it is not that bad for me. I am glad your husband is feeling Ok!
Spar~ I will always look for the collages for you, the ones you had are most beautiful. I am now thinking of putting a real one together for myself~~~~~~~~I am not creative though by any means, so this should be interesting!
Hugs to Checkum, miss you and hope you are well.
SoCalLisa~ Love your pics......as usual

Hey Foots, how are you????
Edit to say: Welcome rumoret!!! I am new to the beach too
and Mary Jo, how wonderful you went to chemo with your friend. I can imagine all the thoughts going through your head. BUT, you took your experience and turned it into a positive, your way of thinking, way of living......how you share it with others and HELP others. We all do have baggage and it is how we carry it around is what matters. I prefer to leave mine at the curb side for the garbage man to pick up. But seriously, thanks for sharing that story.Love and hugs beachies! Wear sunscreen!
Oh, that has got to hurt! Been there!

-
Oh, this is pretty Spar!

-
Very cool beach collage. love it, curlieqs. Can't wait to see the one you do for yourself.
Sahalie, it always makes my heart happy and feel like "old time" when you post. Thank you for such a lovely post.
It is late and need to go but want everyone to know lots of love and hugs and prayers going out to all.
-
Out the door. We'll see how long I can be "unplugged" LOL.
May take the pennies outta my pocket so I can plug in. (It's just a pet peeve of mine.)
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
and
Splashing and laughter.
Splashing and laughter.
Splashing and laughter.
-
Good morning Beachettes.
Safe journey Faith.
Such beautiful words have been posted since I was here yesterday. So it's back to me to interject some silliness.
COONIE, what are you thinking? #32 or whatever number it is will take on too much water. Throw her in the hull and you can paddle around Toy's beach when we get there.

-
Sheesh, you guys. You've already missed the morning workout.
Aren't I looking lovely?

-
I think the water is warm enough to go swimming later........

-
Sharon, I think we REALLY need to look in to getting a nicer boat.
This could be dangerous. Don't SHARKS live in the OCEAN??? I want to go play
in Hawaii withToy.......not be eaten by a shark for dinner

-
Not even this kind of flying----I could get a 2-seater

-
I've already booked our flight.

-
You have???????????? On Air force one????
-
My motto, go big or go home LMAO
-
Sharon - please - step - back - onto - the - plane !!! NOW

-
Shoot, I forgot, I don't fly.........back to the ship I guess.
-
Pop some pills Sharon.....I think this is the way we need to go. It's much quicker!

Come on Sharon! You have to get INSIDE the plane!!!!!

-
Oh my Flippin Floppers that is the most high~larious picture ever.
Throw that kid a buoyancy compensator vest and a pair of wings.
-
Tooooo funny. Ya Coonie, that'll really encourage me to fly.........NOT!!

-

maybe I'll start out in this until I hit the ocean........
-
