5 years out today
Hey all, just checking in to let you all know this is my 5 year cancerversary and I am doing fine with no evidence of disease. My initial prognosis was "poor unfavorable" until the results from the Herceptin clinical trial came out and my prognosis greatly improved, literally over night. So all you newbies take heart, and have hope. Miracles do happen. Hey to all my "old" buddies. Hugs to all.

Janie---thanks for your post!! It's very encouraging for us HER2+ folks. I'm 1.5 years out and just finished Herceptin. Have you done yearly scans, etc. I'm just curious. My onc just wants me to come back in 3 months and no tests unless I have symptoms. Congratulations on 5 years!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the congrats ladies.
Coonie, that seems to be standard procedure. I did have a mammo every 6 months for a while and now back to once a year. My onc was/is really good to check out everything that looks suspicious .... so far all have turned out to be something other than BC.
Hi Beth, there is room in this 5 year celebration for you and a few more. Early congrats to you.
Yes ladies, Herceptin is awesome. My profile used to be considered one of the worst.... does not appear to be anymore. I pray they find a cure for every profile and soon.
Hugs to all, Janie
