Look at all that food, my mouth is drooling.
Found out today that Toyful is just worn down and no further treatment until after her trip, which we are all going with her to her beach cottage even though we have to sleep outside with the sandfleas. (in our minds anyway) Will resume treatments when she returns.
thank you so much curleq, I guess you done figured out I love all collages. the sunsets or sunrises were beautiful and uplifting.
busy Faith, you meet yourself coming and going and I know your happy.
Welcome, rumoret, hope you hang around and get to know these wonderful beach ladies, swim with us, snorkel, surf, party, eat, and eat and eat and well, you get the picture. We have a lot of fun and are happy you can join us here.
Love and Hugs to all the old and new and hopefully future beach babes.

Hello beachies....how are you all today? I just had a sobering experience. I sat with a friend today during her chemo. My first time in a chemo room since Oct. 2006. It felt different being on the other side but it also made me feel and know how thankful I am to be healthy and able to be on the other side. When I left their the world felt different. It's hard to explain but being in "that room" - after not being in it for awhile and my life getting back to "normal" puts things in a different perspective AGAIN and it reminded me how simple life should be - how complex it can be but how much more peaceful it is when we take it slow - serve others - live for the Lord and don't worry so much about all the rest. The rest means nothing anyway............as the saying goes "anyone ever see a uhaul being pulled by a hearse?" Nope, they haven't......all that stuff - all the baggage we carry - it all means nothing. I know you are probably all thinking - ALL THAT CAME TO HER AFTER BEING BACK IN A CHEMO ROOM!!! Yup, it did AND in all honesty, it felt good and I was thankful to be reminded of it all again. So...in a nutshell....I thank God today for my health and I thank Him for reminding me...once again.....what life is all about. It's sobering and refreshing AND best of all.....brings Peace!
Curlie....I LOVED that little video clip you have in your post above....how funny is that.
I pray everyone's day is going well.......Sending big hugs to all.
Mary Jo

Spar, thanks for letting us know about Toy.
Hey Hope.........guess what? I've finished a square. Well it's not a square but you know what I mean. Although I measured like crazy it's a tad over 9" long. Now on to square #2, I'll make it as much the same as I can.
-
Sharon....I thought I saw you on the beach knitting

-
Hi Beachettes,
I went to infusion yeterday expecting to get chemo, but they took one look at my wan face and consulted among my doctor, team nurse, and chemo nurse and asked if I would like to take some time off chemo. Yes, I would! They say I could go back on next week or after I get back from the beach on 4/1, it is up to me. As a matter of fact, they say I can do whatever I think is best for me from this point on. They are getting me an emergency appointment with the pain specialist for Friday so that I don't have too be any pain.Right now my chest is in alot of pain, along my sternum, where I used to have a big tumor that got radiatied earlier. I do feel like they are telling me to rest up for pleasure and dying, hopefully in that order. But my gut was telling me in the last few days, that I did not want any more chemo this month because I wanted to have the best chance of pleasure on the Beach.
-
Hi Beachette Toy, I'm glad and sorry at the same time about your chemo. But yes, you want to be able to get some strength back to go to the real beach. Get the pain under control and go from there. One step at a time. Coonie and I have rented that huge yauch so we'll see you in Kauai............ha, in my dreams. But that's the fun of imagination. Wally sends Annie a big sloppy kiss. Gentle hugs from me.
-
Awwhhhh (((((((((((((((((((((((((toy)))))))))))))))))) ... go with your gut and your heart.
I pray that you can be pain free soon so that you're
able to enjoy that wonderful trip!!
It's so good to see your post.
Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers!!!!
((((((((very gentle hugs))))))
edit to add: sloppy kisses to Annie from Lucky and Opie too

Can't let Wally have ALL the sugar

-
Hi Toy....Just wanted to give you a big hug and to say that I pray your pain improves and that that pleasure will find you at every turn.
God's Peace and love,
Mary Jo
