Mom2 - the music does work great, I have it on for all my chores, but you can do some good dancing with the ironing board (LOL).
FYI - I still iron creases in jeans. "Can You Say Nerd" HA-HA
-
The last time I saw my son and dil, they were commenting on laundry. She takes jeans out of the dryer and hangs on a hanger - NO crease. My son wants creases... and he IS a nerd...
Iron is a 4 letter word for me. there are probably cobwebs on my iron and board, if I knew where they are !! My DH always wore white, button down, oxford cloth, long sleeve shirts. When we got married he decided I could do them. Fat chance, I told him, and said if the laundry was good enuf before, it is still good enuf.
-
I havent ironed Much for years. I have De Quervain's disease (in My Wrists) And using my wrist at that angle kills it. I do iron when I sew & have to iron.
I havent done much here today. I did get to Walgreens & got my Bargains for the week. Thats a job in itself- planning my list with Coupons.
Dh put in a New Faucet dowstairs yesterday in the bathroom...I helped him a little- does that count? LOL
I dont crease my Jeans, But I think it looks Nice.

If they are folded properly from the dryer (I don't hang mine) they kind of get a crease anyway...
-
Hey ya'll!! Not much housework going on today. I am doing laundry though.....which is a daily thing! Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, right?
Went to church this morning, and will try to get a few little things done today. DD left to go back to college, so there's always something to pick up after she leaves. Hope everyone has a great day!
-
-
Doesn't this look all nice and clean??!!! Wish it were mine
Just a little incentive for us to get 'er done!
-
I wish my house was that clean Connie, now you know there has to be a house keeper.
Pam you mention sewing, I do not sew, I hate to sew, not even buttos I have been knoewn to ditch a perfectly good article of clothing because it needs buttons. I hated home Ec IN SCHOOL WHEN IT WAS TIME TO SEW -yuck -yuck -yuck, My mom sewed everything, she was also a Union Leader in NY for the Seamstresses , I take after her in every way except that. Sewing is torture to me -LOL.
-
Did someone say awhile back they needed a pooper scooper?
-
Funny, I used to own a sewing store but I hate hand sewing buttons on. I would have 6 out of 7 buttons missing off a winter coat before I finally gave it away. One year I bought a coat with only ONE large button. Had to give the darn thing away when the button fell off.....sigh.
-
Just back home from church and lunch and wanted to peek in and say hi. Great pics connie, I needed my smile for the day. I'm enjoying the down time but can already see the mess is trying to return. Too bad, I'm gonna enjoy my day off.
Where is that beach when I need it!
-
Hey mom2two....the beach is just a few threads over:) Come and join us! It's better than housework any day!!
-
Good afternoon everyone
Did a couple of loads of laundry, weeded part of the garden but the wind chased me out had so much snot running felt like a 2 year old yuck. Think I will give my self a manicure instead. DH brought me a mini eclair and latte this morning HAPPY B-DAY too meeeeeeee! The first 20 doesn't count so that makes me 27 hahaha.
-
Happy Birthday Denise!!!! And many many more!! Enjoy the rest of your day!
oh.........and no housework on your birthday
-
coonie,
Love that pic of the clean house. No kids in that house I bet.
-
hehe I bet not, BKC
-
Thanks Coonie for the B-day card. Nails are done off to chemo tomarrow so I will check back in a few days.
Love to everyone
-
Happy Birthday (((( Denise )))))).
I am off to get my taxes done. And try to get my car washed at the cheap car wash. The most popular places around here cost $12 while you sit in the car - no interior vacuuming or cleaning inside of the windows = major rip off IMHO !!! That is my "one thing" to get done today.
Happy Monday morning to all. Nancy
-
Hey Nancy! I'm calling you on that "one thing". If THEY clean the car I don't think that counts! You will have to get out and vauum or do the windows to get your star for today. Sorry. It's the rule.
-
Oh poo, barbe... I thought any attempt at "clean" was good.
-
Happy Belated Birthday Denise!!
Too Funny Barbe & Nancy!
I went through 3 bins of fabric yesterday, Sorted & measured & Listed them on my For Sale list.
There is one lot of fabric It hurts to part with. The Most gorgeous Gilded Fabrics. I guess I have a Fabric addiction
I have not come up with my 1 thing for today. Still trying to wake up- LOL
Pam
-
I am going to get the second 1/4 of my bedroom clean today and 2 loads of laundry completely done: wash, dry, fold and put away. That's my plan for today
Can you tell I am feeling a little better
-
Glad to hear you are felling a Little Better. Good Luck with your List.
Pam

Look who all the early birds are this morning! How's everyone doing today? Happy yesterday birthday Denise (please picture someone blowing those things that spring out and confetti flying and all of us gathered around while you blow out those 27 candles:) Ok so now you know I am not as computer savvy as coonie
Also want to post a warning to any new comers to this thread as it can make you do strange unusual things!!!!!!!!!!!! Cathi would you believe I actually ironed hubby's shirt and pants yesterday for him. (he hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days). Yep, its been years but I thought I'd try the music and the iron and try for the euphoria you spoke of..........................didn't find it but hubby did appreciate the ironed clothes
.
I've thrown in my first load of laundry and am using this morning to get the tidy back in the rooms I did the cleaning in already.
Thanks for all of you posting here. It makes the cleaning chores more fun having friends to get it done with. Anyone peeking in is welcome to join us anytime.
I may have to take some real "before" photos of what I'm dealing with, just wondering if I'd be brave enough to do it.
-
LOL- I thought of taking before Pictures. And decided not too. Its worse then my reconstruction- LOL
It does help to have this Cleaning Friend thread!
In fact it made me think- Ok- I better at least get a load of Laundry going....
So did Ironed Clothes make your dh feel better? (Hope hes feeling better)
Pam
-
Mornin ladies! I was able to get MOST of my laundry at least washed and dried yesterday. Today I have to fold and put away. That's the hard part
I'm going to tackle the blinds and ceiling fans too.
Here's me with a big silly grin on my face. Folding laundry
-
Glad you got your Laundry done. yes, Folding- Ick!!
I went to do my 1 load of Laundry- was going to do dh sweaters...But he had already nicely collected me a Dk load- very nice of him...But that means 2 loads for me today- LOL
How do you all clean your Blinds?
Dh said he was just going to go out & Buy new ones. Well No $$ for that & I like the ones we have. But boy they are Soooo Dusty!
Pam

Hi all, I am going to tackle our wall unit in our "Lounge/Man Gave" its really a very large enclosed pack porch that has become the "sporting arena" but we are having a community wide garage sale the mid of April and there are tons of things on that wall unit that can go away. And that way it will also be completely dusted, hope to finish it today but Mondays tend to be quite busy with work, so at least i'll get it started.
-
Hey Pam....before I got the wider blinds, I would take mine down and actually wash them off with a water hose and some kind of spray cleaner outside. Then just let them air dry. Since I have the wider blinds now, I spray some windex on a rag, and wipe each slat. It does take awhile though:) But it makes such a difference. While I'm at that, I usually clean inside the window seals too. They can also get yucky. DH's are good about adding to our laundry pile, huh? I am blessed in a way though because since I was diagnosed with BC, my husband started taking all of his clothes to the cleaners. That is a HUGE help!! I guess good things can SOMETIMES come from BC
Of course, I'd rather do his laundry ANY DAY than have BC....
-
I straighten the bathroom, hug up my towel (thats a major feat) and made the bed--spread, pillows and all :O Plan is to fold laundry dh washed and dried yesterday and to put away 3 baskets of my clothes from 2 weeks ago. Plan is to wait till I have lots to put away and I can clear out drawers and closet of not fits.
Be well today
