    Hi there Trying2beME

My WBC has been as low as 1.2 and the hemoglobin has been a 4 my RBC has been so low that I have had 2 blood transfusions. My platelet's's have been so low that they almost was considering a platelet transfusion. I have been doing chemo for a year now. Just finished hopefully 1/7 and have been going to the onc one to two weeks to get shots for my counts. For they are still low and slowly rising. I find out in March if I am cancer free. I wish you the best with this. It takes time.

Hi Trying2beME!  My White Blood Cell count is always low :( I dropped as low as 0.8, after my first chemo treatment of AC, and I was given daily neupogen shots until it was high enough to do my second round of chemo last week. I had a lot of bone pain, but the shots worked.  This time, they have been closely monitoring me, but even with the neupogen shots I can't seem to get above 1.2.  No bone pain either, even though I have had more shots of nuepogen, so I am not sure if it is working as well.  Basically stuck at home, washing my hands every three seconds, and monitoring my temperature.  No one has mentioned transfusions to me, and they haven't tried nuelasta. Good luck with everything!

I finish the first 4 FAC and i did it without neulasta. The lower WBC i had was 2000 but after a week it always went up to 4000 even 5000. I will start weekly taxol next week. Did not have problems with my red cells or plateles. Don't forget everybody is different.

Hi!!  I've been told mine were low also, can't remember number but doctor increased my chemo 5%, and will do so again this Wed 3/11.  He said that's normal, and the 5% incease in my case should do it, but I've only got 2 treatments down, and going for 3rd one on 3/11.

Going into treatment I had low hemoglobin 8.2 I am usually around 10 and normal for women is 12-14.  I go in Tuesday for 3rd treatment and we will see if my level dropped or not.

Don't know what my white cell count was I think they would have mentioned it if it was a problem. I do take nuelasta after my chemo as well.

    good luck

During my wife's first cycle of FEC, on day 18 or 19 (2 days before the next infusions) her neutrophil count was down to 0.2.   After 48 hours it went up to 0.9, still not enough for another chemo.  One day later it was 2.17 and she got her 2nd infusion of FEC.
