    theprettiesmess,

I've moved your over to start this threat.

'm loving all of the scripture verses here! I consider scripture an addition to alternative and formal therapy... If it's ok, I'd like to post one that's carried me through this journey...

"If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God, "I'll get you out of any trouble. I'll give you the best of care if you'll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you, then throw you a party. I'll give you a long life, and give you a long drink of salvation!" Psalm 91:14-16 (The Message)

    Robin and all,

this Verse helped me immediately when diagnosed....I remember turning to it often....I guess the reason it helped so much was that I didn't know if I had another day or not...

    JOhn 14:1-4

do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house there are many rooms" if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come back and take you to be with me, that you  also may be where I am. YOu know the way to the place where I am going.

    Psalm 4:1-4

Answer me when I call to you,
O God who declares me innocent.
       Free me from my troubles.
Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

2 How long will you people ruin my reputation?
How long will you make groundless accusations?
How long will you continue your lies?
3 You can be sure of this:
The Lord set apart the godly for himself.
The Lord will answer when I call to him.

Another that spoke to me when things were not going so well.

    Proverbs: 4:11-13

I guide you in the way of wisdom

and lead you along straight paths.

    When you walk, your steps will not be hampered;

when you run, you will not stumble.

    Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;

guard it well, for it is your life.

This is a wonderful thread. The verse that came to my mind when first dx was Romans 8:28...that all things work together for good. When I first heard that I had cancer I knew nothing of the grades or stages. I only knew it was cancer. But, I knew that God allowed this into my life for my good. Already several good things have come from being dx with cancer.

    1. In reading the many testimonies of those who suffered with breast cancer, I've become more sensitive to those who suffer from this horrible disease. Before bc dx, I was nonchalant about the whole thing. I could not relate to cancer victims or did not know what they were talking about. Now I'm listening.

    2. Through my dx I've become more aware how much I'm loved.

    3. I'm taking better care of myself...eating and exercising more.

    4. I've learned I' have a thyroid problem that could had destroyed my body and mind. I would have never seen a naturalpathtic doctor if I had not been dx with bc. The nd has taken a personal interest in my health, and finding the root causes to why my body turned on me.

    5. Life is beautiful..never take it for granted...

    6. People are not indestructable.

Several more personal reasons that I won't say now..that's all been for my good.

    Revelations  3:8

When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go. Only 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!

I really like this topic.  I recently found this scripture when I was diagnosed with a brain met and it was God speaking to me.

    Deuteronomy 30:19 (New International Version)

19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

I am so happy you did this thread ! I have lived by this and even laminated these to pass out...

God Bless you for offering this thread.

    These were mine: Still are:

    Mark 11:24

" Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Psalm 91 14-16. .. ( She being he or she)

" Because she loves me, says the Lord. I will rescue her. I will protect her for she acknowledgers my name. She will call upon me. I will answer her. I will be with her in trouble. I will deliver her and honor her with LONG LIFE."

Thank you, my sisters, for this thread! I know that it will bless all of us!!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

    Jeremiah 29:11

"Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."
