LIFE'S A BEACH!

This is the cabin that we are staying at in Kauai, Hawaii! It is so cute! I hope I can make the trip since it is all paid for in advance!
-
And there is an outdoor shower!
-
Toyful, I hope you know that the beach babes are prone to hopping into open luggage while someone is packing and stowing away on the trip.
-
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marejo has come to the Beach!!! Welcome welcome. Maybe she will do some synchronized swimming for us.
-
Great post faith...I loved it. I can't imagine my life without my Savior who walks with me wherever I go. For that matter, where my Savior isn't welcome, I don't want to be. He's what makes me whole and He's what makes me happy. I've learned throughout my journey that living for Jesus and striving to do His will each day is where true happiness and peace come from. Nothing else matters.
Thanks again Faith for reminding of us our Saviors love.
-
Thank you for the nice welcome "alwayshope." No, synchronized swimming here BUT I still can do it.

This Song Goes OUT TO YOU!!!!

Hi ya'all! Back in the battle again. Why does it always involve the toilet? Have I offended the washroom gods? I fell sideways so since i was already down there, I crawled back to my bed. My husband then hoisted me into it. I slept for 12 hours without moving. No meds. Woke up and started coughing - needing to protect furniture with one of those pee pads I swiped from a hospital. So we go to ER courtesy of my daughters friend. My daughter missed a night with her boyfriend... oh dear... then they drove me home and Alley went up and brought the scooter in the lobby so I would not have to walk. I am limited to how long I can stay on my feet. And I have Rad 2 out of 5 tomorrow. Oh sorry I missed telling you the cough was pneumonia. We had fun trying to find the port, they had reversed the xray and could not feel the one that was removed. I finally felt its outline and pointed out their error.
-
Thanks for the song, Julz!
Dreamwriter- I hope that was only one big bad blip in the battle and tomorrow it will get easier!
Now I am off to watch some comedy! Sleep tightly in all of your sand dune beds.
-
Here is a photo of one of the Beachies in her sand bed.

Good morning beachies! It's so good to see all of you.
Toyful, I LOVE the cabin you're staying in!! Is there some info you can send me on your accommodations there? We stayed on Owahu once but it was in a high rise hotel on wakiki beach. There was hundreds of people. I would love the privacy of a quaint little cabin. I sure hope you're feeling better real soon!!! Been sending lots of healthy cyber vibes your way
{{{{{{{{{dream}}}}}}}}}} good to see you too! I hate you've been having a yucky time. Maybe this week will be much better. A little time on the beach might help
Marejo----welcome to the beach. The ladies here are just wonderful and we have a blast. Pull up a chair and some flip flops and ENJOY!
Checkum-----hope you start your week off great. The drains "might" come out. That will be such a relief, huh? Don't need to do any heavy duty surfing just yet though
Just let footie's cabana boys take care of you a few more days
Footie-----It's ALWAYS good to see your footprints on the sand. I pray that your week is good....painfree......maybe even snow free. It's time for a little spring like weather up there, huh? Thank you for your encouragement! God loves you and so do WE!!!
Faith -- will be saying extra prayers for SIL and daughter and babes this week. Special angels to fly with SIL to keep him safe, and special angels dispatched to DD to help with the babeeze and hoping they get to feeling better real soon! Hoping you enjoy your time in Florida with DH too! Looking forward to seeing more projects this week
Mary-Lou, Spar, Julz, Lisa, AlwaysHope....always enjoy the pics, songs, words of encouragement! Lisa....I may need another photo lesson later on.

Oh my. So much has gone on since I was last here.........only last night.
First off, welcome Marejo. Yep, you've come to a wonderful place on the boards. I hope you enjoy it here.
Toy!!! So nice to see your posts again. We missed you even though you were away just a short time. Beautiful place you are going to. The cottage looks like something out of a fairy tale.
Faith, prayers sent your way for your family. And glad you and your new home survived the storm.
Coonie, I'm sorry we didn't pick you up. Didn't see you out on the porch waiting..........
Hope, I'd wondered where you'd gotten to but figured you were busy crocheting beachagans together. I've almost finished my first square......yay!
Foots, I like your boy better. Mine are too young but thanks for sending them Spar. I'll trade ya Footie
Checkum, don't overdo things. Just be sure to do what your PT gal tells you to.
Lisa, you are a wonderful teacher..........look at Toy and Coonie. I'll be more of a challange I guess
Dream so sorry you are having such problems. I did the falling off the toilet trick once. Got wedged inbetween the toilet and the tub.........made the mistake of trying to walk back to bed and went down again. Came to and couldn't orient myself which was because I was halfway to falling down the stairs headfirst. Crawled back to bed from there. I hope today brings some "feeling better" vibes your way.
Julz, now I can't remember if you or Spar sent me those young fellows. Well darnit. Pea brain kicking in again.
MaryLou, Curlie (I love Lucy too). Nice to see you on the beach.
Beach hugs to all. This is the last time I do the list thing. I'm terrible at it and inevitably will leave someone out.
Next bluegrass jam session I'll pick ya'all up in ma truck.
-
Coonie, forgot to add, good luck at your appt. this aft.
-
Gaahhhh Sharon......I wuzent on tha front porch. I wuz on the street a waitin on YOU! Finally got another group a goin so we did sum kinda entertaining
-
Well the beach expands!! How awesome is that??
It's Monday and I'm walking out the door to my country line-dance aerobics spectacular, so seeing all those guitars/banjos/pick-up truck has really put me in the mood.
BIG welcome to MJ!! I'll look for some flip flops for ya later today. WELCOME. I always feel the need to point out: we are addicting..... but in such a good way.
Special big hugs to Dream, Toyful, Footie and Checkum. Baby steps. Baby steps.
HOPE HOPEHOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPEHOPE HOPE HOPE
It's probably good when one has to run to one's aerobics class, isn't it?
Thanks for all of the prayers. I slept so much better knowing you gals were on the watch with me.
-
Good grief. I forgot to hand out the honorary flip flops. Here MareJo.........grab 'em quick, I think they're going adrift.
-
DH and DD enjoying the scenery at Laguna Beach
I think I'm getting the hang of this pic posting stuff.
Ya'll better start praying I forget it again
-
Oh Coonie, that is a beautiful picture. Is your DH interested in a "cabana boy" position? Your DD is a knockout.
-
heheee Sharon. He is MY cabana boy!!! I'm not sharing either
I have him trained after 29 years too! My DD and DH would kill me if
they knew I was posting these. So.....if ya'll don't see me on the boards later,

LOL, you can always edit them out to avoid family mutany Coonie. Once we've all seen them that is.
-
I'm waiting for the picture of YOU, Coonie. I swear I don't remember seeing YOUR face. Now that you've learned the technique, there's absolutely no excuse!!
Aerobics was invigorating to say the least. I stayed for a second class on stretching & flexibility.
Glad to see so much activity on Beach Central.
Here's another set of welcome flips for MJ (I'm a lover of polka dots) you can wear these to our more formal occaisions in the evenings.
-
Get ready Faith. She's a "looker" too.
-
Today started out poopy. But sometimes poopy days turn out ok. I love when that happens.
-
Thank you Beachies! Your prayers and good vibes has resulted in what feels like a mini miracle for me. When I woke up this morning, the swelling in my neck had decreased a lot! It seems what is left is just the 3.1 cm malignant mass. The swelling had been painful even when I was not touching it, but now it only is painful if I touch it. I feel like I can breathe better and swallow better. I am very happy about this. Now I only have to concern myself with this crazily active trachea tumor.
I have not heard from the doctor yet, but I will call in the next hour if she does not call me. I also have not tried walking today yet except a 10 pace walk to the loo. That walk involved feeling like the room was spinning around me. Very disorienting.
Coonie--Can I post the web addy of the website for the cottage that I am staying at in Kauai? I read the bc rules but can't decide if that is okay or not. For now, if you searched, "29 Palms Kauai" you would find it right away. I was very sick at the time I was planning the trip so I spent 60 hours trying to find the perfect place to stay. And this is the one that sounded the best in my price range. There are 2 cottages on the property, one sleeps 4 and one sleeps 3. So it would be perfect if any Beachettes wanted to plan a trip there! My SO, DD (18 years) and myself are staying in the sleeps 4 cabin. This is the property that had the highest quality guest reviews on tripadvisor.
-
I'm so glad to hear today is better Toy.
Toy? What is Annie doing on the beach?
-
Checkum, where are you today? Do we have to go looking for you again? Are you hiding in the sand?
-
-
toyful, I am thanking our Lord for your swelling going down and you feeling better. Are you still on chemo for the malignant tumor? or rads? I am praying for whatever treatment you get to work miracles. that cottage looks so nice and the beach in front wonderful. It will be a great healing place for the soul and for the body.
Marejo, am so glad you found us and hope you enjoy the beach and become a regular. We have some great ladies here.
Jaz, I got my box mailed to you today, hope the squares are useable, remember I am new at this knitting business. (with a bit of silliness added for you)
Dream sorry you are going through all this.
((((((((footie)))))))))))
I am kind of bummed today, another reality of we never know when it is our time and how truly sweet and precious is our time here on earth with our loved ones. Found out today one of my best friends from high school died last night of a blood clot.
Thanks for the sea treasures Julz, sea glass always cheers me up (as does chocolate) sugar free of course.
Well, got to go for now will be back later. Love you girls and hope you have a good afternoon.
-
I have started a new game in Humor/Games. For all those gamers out there, like Footie, Spar, Jaz, Sharon, Marejo, etc., please come try it out at least once! It's really easy but involves a tiny bit of brain power!
It is under Humor/Games, and is called Interactive Opposites.
Spar, I am waiting to hear from my doctor today with what the new plan is. Currently, I am on my off week for Navelbine. I just finished my first round of Navelbine. My oncologist is thinking about radiation for me (I just finished 28x rads in November for a big active tumor on sternum that worked well) Up until now, she had been hesitant to give me rads on the trachea because the side effects are hard to deal with. But since it has tripled in size since last month, we shall see what she thinks now. I am calling them in 15 minutes (when their lunch hour has ended).
