Yes we are holding her hand Sylvia...
Her room is getting awfully crowded with all of us there!!
Keeps her nice and warm...
-
What was happening to Lisa? Gee, you leave town & nobody tells you nothing!
-
Susan-Lisa#3, 3boys4me, had her reconstuction surgery this week. She had to go to LA for it. She should be recovering in her room by now.
-
Socal -- May I attend in absentia. After all, I know the grandest ladies rooms in Socal.
-
Oh boy - I can't wait to see a new beautiful Lisa#3!
Brenda - thanks for the info.
-
Hey Dillo...of course you can come in absentia...I mean, who else can remember the decor of the ladies' rooms at the Del Coronado!!
Of course, it would be better if you could fly out here and join us!!
-
PS...I have not heard a word from Lisa#3...check in please!
-
SoCal-I am sure she is probably still in lala land. The morphine pump was my friend for at least 3 days after my surgery. I think her husband was suppose to come home last night or today though.
-
Hi all..I just got an email from Lisa#3 and she says she is fine..up and walking and is due to come home tomorrow..thanks us for our concern..
-
Hi everyone-
Boy was my room crowded will all of you there with me. Thank you so much for all of your kind thoughts and prayers. I'm home and feeling good (and no, it's not the drugs!) I felt pain for the first two days, but now am pain free. Just resting, catching up on emails and watching some TV.
I can't say enough good things about my ps, Dr. Festekjian, and everyone at UCLA.
I'm looking forward to stage II in a couple of month and having a pair of nice new foobies.
So, who's planning the March get together??
love you all,
Lisa #3
-
dunno - when is the March get together? I probably won't be back in town till the 13th/14th.. It'll depend on how much spring training I think I can handle!
-
wow Lisa #3..so glad to hear you are home and resting and feeling no pain..
I hope you heal well, and fast!!
susan...where are you now??
-
I second Liz's "wow" and am glad your surgery went smoothly and that all is well. Rest up and enjoy our wonderful weather before it changes!
-
Lisa#3 you sound great. Glad you are recovering so quickly.
-
So glad that you are on the mend Lisa!! How does March 29th sound for our next lunch ---maybe at Ki's on 101 across from the Chart House in Cardiff?
-
We all buy our lunch down stairs -seperate and then I can get us a table reserved upstairs and they deliver your lunch--it is a beautiful spot and great /fresh food!!
S
-
Ki's is a great place - and hopefully the weather will be wonderful as well. March 29th works for me.
-
Ki's looks good to me!! Any chance we could do it on Sat.,the 28th? It's right in Melia's neighborhood and she can't come on Sundays. I believe Nash can't make Sundays either.
Maybe Susan will be back from her adventure by then and can tell us all about it! Lisa#3 can show us her flat belly!
Sylvia - gotta tell you I was wrong in my pronunciation of the Grape Seed Extract I had just started taking - it isRes-VEER-a-trol. You were right, I was wrong.
Lisa
-
Ki's sounds good but I can't make it on the 28th. Karate Tournament. That is if we can afford the entry fee.
-
We'll be at the tournament, too, Brenda. Then we're going up to L.A. for the World Figure Skating Championships (yay--have been looking forward to that for 3 years!). Most of March is shot for me, so will try to catch up with everyone in April.
Can anyone ever meet during the week? I have so many family obligations on the weekends that it tough to get away.
-
Nash-I am suppose to work everyday but sometimes I can sneak out for a visit. I thought you were going to miss this tournament? Glad you are able to make it.
-
I can do Sat 3/28...
-
I don't know yet...just plan and if I can come I will..lots of irons in the fire...
but we will be gone the weekend of the 20th
-
Brenda--we're going to skip basketball to be able to go to the tournament. Will see you there!
-
I will definitely be back by then!
Right now I'm at Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana. Have lots of wonderful pictures, but I'm too lazy to figure out how to put them here. I'll put them up where I usually put the pictures & send you guys the url.
-
Susan..now take your time and enjoy our great country...
I took this photo today at Imperial Beach...no one else on the beach whatsoever..very nice
-
Hi SD Sisters,
Lisa#3; glad your surgery is over and that you are feeling good. Don't do too much right away. Let them wait on your hand and foot and moan a lot; even if you feel good. Ha!
Well, it is 59 here in Kalamazoo today and i went for a 2 mile walk. Not quite like walking on the beach, but sunny. Almost all of our snow is gone. Yeah! We have daffodils and crocuses trying to peek through.
I'll be at your next lunch in spirit.
Love and prayers to all of you, Linda
-
Hello---I used to LOVE my crocus peaking thru the snow---not sure if you knew that Linda---but i'm from Buffalo--NY--that is,...and I had the best lily of the valley, hostas and crocus---and cannot grow any of that here---I also had a pretty decent rose garden from June to Sept---but fought the japanese beetles like crazy-- -
And here--- I have roses blooming ALL yr long---love it---planted 13 rose bushes while i went thru RADS...
To anyone who knits or crochets--a friend of mine has some kits of some kind and lots of yarn that was donated to The Vincent DePaul Thrift Shop--let me know and I'll get back to you if anyone other than Liz can use it...
-
My last drain came out yesterday - yeah!! I'm feeling really good, but I'm slow... my husband would say "so what else is new?" I'm able to drive, shower (yeah!) and do some walking, but am still limited from any strenuous activity for another 2-1/2 weeks. I'm looking forward to stage II which should be the end of May.
Rod is up in Santa Barbara with our eldest - his court date was at 8am. I am waiting patiently for a phone call to find out the outcome - which hopefully is a loss of license and fines?!
Looking forward to seeing everyone this month - Ki's sounds good to me. Most any weekend works for me.
Lisa #3
-
Lisa#3-Well listen to you girl. You sound great. Congratulations. I am so happy your surgery was a success and uncomplicated.
