Saw 'The wrestler' and was shocked to see....
that wrestlers/bodybuilders that take illegal steroids often also take Arimidex or other AI's! I googled arimidex + bodybuilding and there are several articles about it. They recommend getting rip-off versions because the real deal is so expensive LOL. Very scary, bodybuilders take it so that their testosterone is not converted to estrogen...... Anyway, just something I had absolutely no idea was happening.... (it was a very good movie btw)

No, it seems there is a black market for Arimidex, believe it or not!

Its very common for anabolic steroid users to develope gynecomastia, or breast development. When you are circulating 20 to 100 times the ordinary levels of testosterone in your blood, the increased aromatisation to estrogen can lead to permanent development of gyno. So all the drugs, aromatase inhibitors and serms (tamoxifen and others) have to be used if the problem crops up. It may come from an MD as treatment, or it may come from the black market. There are dirt cheap generics from overseas (typically china) for all of these drugs.

I'm constantly amazed at the s--t people are willilng to pump into their bodies, not knowing the long-term effects.

Hi All. Yes, this is incredible. However, there is some very detailed and scientific information on "some" of the body builder sites for the AIs. By the way Arimidex even has a street name - Dex. Why would anyone want to put up with the side effects of these awful drugs? I get the obvious, but still find it unreal.

Wow I didn't have a clue about that, I hated the steroids I had to take before my chemo's and just don't get it. I suppose if your a wrestler that's all that matters at the time but boy I wonder how there future will be. Sad. I still haven't seen the movie, I did hope that he would win the oscar, it would have been so good for him but I think the academy wants to see if he can do more hard work. I hope he can always thought he was a great actor.

I haven't seen The Wrestler yet, but hoped he'd win an Oscar for Sin City.

Haven't seen the movie. I came by the same information a couple of years ago when I googled to learn the difference between Aromasin and Arimidex. Found the information on weight lifters etc. I was STUNNED! Who would want to take this medicine for fun!!? In a way, it made me angry.

I saw the film. It was incredibly moving.
So much of it is about his body and what his body has been through, and I really related to that because of breast cancer. It touched me so deeply.
I would recommend it highly.
