IN MEMORY OF TWINK
I made a donation to honor Twink....our dear friend Twilah who fought the good battle, and made her final journey to the stars on Feb 21st 2009.
She was one of our "rocks" and friends on the February Chemo Cruise from 2007.
We love you Twink! Oink!

While I did not know Twink I am so sorry to hear this. Too many sisters are being defeated by this monster. I went back and read some of her posts and I wish I had known her.
Each time I read of another sister lost I am so saddened to think of all those wonderful, loving, gentle yet strong women that left too soon.
My thoughts and prayers today are with her family and friends.

My deepest sympathy to Twink's family and friends. I didn't know her but sure like and recognized her avatar.
-
I 'spoke" to her on email when I was first diagnosed in 2007. She was wonderful, smart and brave. Go Girl! Love to you! Prayers to her family.

When I first discovered the BCO boards a year ago, Twink's avatar was a bright, yellow star with a smiling face. It was kind of like one of the stars in this balloon:

Imagine my surprise when my husband brought me that very same balloon to cheer me up when I was in the hospital overnight for my mast/SNB. It was one smiling star on a blue background--just like Twink's avatar back then--and the words, "To Cheer You." I always thought of Twink trying to cheer us up with her avatar and screen name.
Then she switched to her fabulous, well-dressed pig. That was even better.
Twink, we miss you. We hope (and assume) you are surrounded by friends.

I haven't been on the boards and had no idea that Twink had passed over. I am going to miss her, I'm very sad. I really pray she's in a better place and at peace with good friends all around her.
-
I remember that star also! She was great!

I have been checking into the forum occasionally and just read about Twink... she helped me through my chemo and rads back in 2007 and I am in shock that she had mets, as I remember when she gave her wigs away to women still in need...I am so sad ...God bless her family...

Bumping (so that the spam post with the Uggs url isn't the first post on the list and the one highlighted in the list of the forums). Twink deserves to be at the top of the list!
-
I still can't stop crying about Twink.
I hope she can feel our love.
