Can somebody shre the story with me?
Today is my wife's 45th birthday. She is a metastatic cancer patient, a mom of three little girls. Her body condition is weakening. I am worried that we might not be together for her birthday next year. Here I am soliciting a successful story from anybody that is willing to help us.
My wife was diagnosed with advanced invasive breast cancer four years ago. During these four years, we have tried countless numbers of treatment, chemo, radiation, surgery, herbs, sea weeds, reishi, ginseng, organic juices. Some of them had helped other patients recover, but none of them seems to work well on my wife. Her cancer still spread everywhere in her body. My oncologist explained "Cancers are heterogeneous, one treatment does not work the same way on different patients, even if the patients have same kind of cancer." Is it possible that the cancer treatment successful rates depend on the CAUSE of cancer? Possible but no conclusion yet. But my wife does not have another 10 years for them to find the conclusion or solution, therefore, I decided to ask for help on internet.
My wife drank tremendous amount of milk (regular, not organic) during her three pregnancies. In those periods, she consumed an average of two gallons of milk per week. Even during regular times, she drank at least one gallon per week. She did that for the 16 years before she was diagnosed with cancer (1989 - 2005). During these 16 years, she has accumulated huge amount of IGF-1 hormone in her body, through the consumption of milk. (There are some studies showing that people drink milk with IGF-1 tend to have high level of IGF-1 in their bodies.) Therefore, we have a suspicion that milk might (only might) have played a role in my wife's tumor. Next, what I am trying to do is to find if there are any similar SUCCESSFUL cases, in other words, cases that meet the following conditions:
1. Patient drank lots of milk before diagnosed with cancer
2. Diagnosed with ADVANCED breast cancer
3. Treatments are successful, patient is now "cancer free" (forgive us for non precise terms)
If any therapy works in cases like this, we believe there could be a chance that it works in my wife's case too. Then we might be able to find a potential solution to my wife's cancer.
I understand that IGF-1 has been discussed for decade with controversial conclusions.
Please note that I am not accusing milk of anything. My point is very simple - to see if anybody has a similar case and is willing to share her/his stories with us. If you intend to discuss the roles of milk in breast cancer, please do not join this discussion.
Please also note that we have tried a lot of expensive treatments, but none of them seems to work very well. We are almost broke and do not have that much money to try expensive treatment any more. We are simply looking for somebody that has survived breast cancer and is willing to share her successful story to save my wife's life.

Hi-
While I don't have a story to tell, I read one. There is a book called Anti-Cancer which talks about nutrition. Also, the China Study by T.Colin Campbell talks about casein in dairy products promoting cancer. Both books discuss a plant based diet. They are worth reading and may be helpful to your wife. Best wishes to you and your wife.

I fit two of your criteria. I drink lots of milk and have all my life and I have survived treatments without any recurrence. I still drink milk today, but as I learn more about nutrition and try to make heads or tails out of who has credible information, I feel disheartened that I grew up believing a lie. I believed milk 'does a body good' as the dairy industry would have us believe. Now I realize that much better choices are avaialble, and I hope to phase milk out of my diet completely.
The common theme I've noticed among experts touting healthy living is a diet that is plant-based, mostly raw. Cooking kills enzymes and subsequently the food we typically eat requires more energy from our bodies to digest. You mentioned organic juice. Hopefully it's juice you make at home with your own juicer. Anything bottled and available at the grocery has been pastuerized, reducing the benefits you can receive from juice made at home.
I believe one woman here is following the hallelujah diet. Additionally, you might want to investigate the hippocrates health institute. There's also gerson therapy, which is very regimented and heavily based on drinking juice. Another therapy someone tried here and recommended was dr schultze's incurables program. That was posted by genesis in a thread entitled natural healing if you want to look up her story. She hasn't posted in a year, and no one here knows what happened. I hope your wife is able to enjoy her birthday, and I hope she gets better and celebrates many more.

I don't have cancer, I must confess but I do follow herbs. I suggest going to HerbalHealer.com, prayerfully and seeking out help. I would suggest trying Dr Chi's Asparagus Extract or Revivin. Their herbs are all prescription strength. I will keep you in my prayers. I also think most people are deficient in phosphorus lysinate, known as Complexed Phosphorus by Carlson's at vitaminshoppe.com along with in conjunction to pantothenic acid, a B vitamin. Brewer's Yeast can be supplemented for buying the phosphorus. Make like an IV by keeping drinking aloe vera juice with water and taking the concoction I have mentioned. Also trace mineral cesium is supposed to fight tumors available in colloidal minerals at GNC or over the internet in a search engine. I sure do have you in my prayers. I wouldn't try the trace minerals without the brewer's yst/phosphorus lysinate, and pantothenic acid.

Hi!
check out this link, my prayers are with you and your family

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I don't understand how pectin could help. Our bodies generally do not absorb large molecules, especially fibers like pectin. It would have to be broken down into small sugar molecules to be absorbed. How can something that stays in your intestine help treat cancer throughout your body?

orange 1, I have no idea, but it didn't look like anyone had offered this poor man anything, he is grasping at straws, this is the alternative board, this is an alternative suggestion for him, thats all, not trying to save the world here.

Fairy-
You're right. My question isn't helpful. Sorry.

Orange, no worries, sorry if I sounded snippy......
I have been thinking about this family ever since reading his post, I wished there were more responses and help.
