Coonie, so sorry for your neighbors losing everything, I know how they feel, we lost everything including autos in the may 3rd 1999 tornado in Moore and we did have insurance but some things could not be replaced, you are so right on that.  Especially pictures.

Checkum so glad to hear from you, it sure seems like they are doing PT early.  Better take a pain pill to kick in before. LOL.  Many healing prayers coming your way.

Mary-Lou, I am always thankful to see you on the beach and your pictures.  Hope things will look up soon.  I need to get down to some serious job hunting too especially if I want a porch built on my house, right now the only way in or out is the mud room.  We have double french door in the dining area but opens up to a complete 3 1/2 feet drop off.

Am so thankful toyful is dipping her toes in the sea and hope you enjoy yourself here.

Faith, still can't keep up with you after all this time, I just count on you to clue me in.

Mary-Lou, that bird looks like he is just strutting along with such pride.

I too love the song sitting on the dock of the bay. and another favorite is under the boardwalk

Jaz, I had to rip out a whole square cause when it was almost finished I checked the measurements and it was nearly 11 inches and I don't even know how it happened, so now I am starting the pink one over again.

Hope everyone has a beachy day. hugs and love to all

Hey Spar, I'm still on my first square..........a lot of trial and error at the beginning.  But you didn't have to rip the whole square...........just down a couple of inches.  Man, isn't that annoying?  I knit and measure a LOT.

Okay, new rule.  No ripping out....send them however they turn out.  They will work just fine.  :)  If some are bigger or smaller then I will arrange them in a mosaic.  They don't have to be perfectly symmetrical just as close as you can get it but if that doesn't work out, that will be fun too.  That is what will make each beachagan unique.

LOL thanks Hope.  I think I've got the hang of it now anyway but can only knit 2 or 3 rows at a time.  I will wait till I have maybe 6 then post them.  Can't wait to get some in the mail for your beachagan.

Good evening beachies. Hope you all have had a great day! Do they make rocking chairs for the beach? It seems they would be more comfortable for the "Beach Knitters Club"Smile I'll just have to see if I can find ya'll some.

    Hey Beachie-kids.

I've had quite a day!! You'll have to go to my blog to see the pics, but here's the short version:

I was picked up today @ the Phillie airport in a s-t-r-e-t-c-h L-I-M-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was an hour long, laughing fest.

    Me in a limo!!

    There's a first for everything.

spent the afternoon at the shore/ocean/boardwalk..........

Have just learned that the ballroom where I'm to present the keynote will be set for 750!!!! This is roughly about 3 times the largest group that I've ever spoken to -- and it's at banquet tables. The room will be large enough to park a squadron of airplanes!!

    Can't think about that tonight.

    Must go pretend to sleep........................

    LOVE and more LOVE!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes to the beach! Thanks for all of the new equipment. (Back here in Seattle, I bought some actual snorkeling gear for my trip to Kauai, yay)

Coonie--The avatar is my actual dog, Annie. She is 8 years old and takes good cuddle care of me. I will post a new avatar soon with her in her St. Patrick's Day attire, which she will be wearing non-stop til the big day.

I finished my 1st round of Navelbine yesterday. Now I have a week off and then 3 more weeks on and then off to Kauai! I am saying Kauai so many times because I am trying to convince myself that I am going to be well enough to go there in a month. Actually, I don't care how unwell I am, I am going come volcano blast or hurricane! One beachie (it was on the previous page so now I can't remember who) asked how long I will be on chemo and the answer is "as long as it is works to keep my cancer from growing." I would love to have an actual end date, but the reality is that the longer I am able to stay on it, the happier I will be.

    See you beachies manana!

Faith, you sound so excited, so happy for you.

Jaz, was thrilled to find out I can send them anyway.  I went to life group tonight and one of the ladies handed me 4 squares that she had knitted to help out.  That was really nice.

toyful, am so happy you are on the beach.  Oh, I would be too excited to even think if I were going on a real vacation soon.  Love to snorkel.  Sahalie, that comes to the beach sometimes is an expert on the snorkeling, she may have some pointers.  I only got to do it once in the Bahamas and will never forget the colors, every color imagineable.

    (((((((((((footie)))))))))))))))))

Hugs to all that need one and hugs to all that don't.  Hope our Checkum is coming along fine, can't wait to see how the first day of PT goes.

    Night all.

ooooooooooooomgoooooooooooooooodness, yes Sharon. other than the pink leather inserts -- it was very very much like the scene above. All leather seats to one side, all glassware down the length of the wall......... fun fun fun.

well i had an amamamamamazing day today. the keynote was sumptin' else! big crowd. microphone that decided to quit -- right after the sound check when it was perfect -- me trying to "project" to the back corners...... them hustling in a new cordless mic...... setting it up -- only to have it 'cut in' and out numerous times....... ah, the life of a celebrity.

all smiles. all the time. the show must go on. my CD player worked, my laptop worked and my LCD projector worked -- so there was plenty to make the crowd happy campers. it's just enough to make me tear out my hair a bit. we got it patched together just enough to work.

the rest of the 6 hours of workshops were FANTASTIC and folks so responsive & supportive.

sounds like the beach-a-ghans are coming together. i haven't crocheted in recent light-years, but may need to dig out the necessary parts to get involved (do NOT hold your breath) but it's such a worthy endeavor!

    big sloppy, exhausted hugs.
