Has anyone gotten a response to their e-mail???
-
I haven't heard a word yet...I'm thinking about emailing again...I won't be ignored.
Deb
-
I was thinking this thought this morning...Wondering if anyone had had a reply & thinking we all should send again...
Pam
-
Yea and we can all put in the subject line "WE will NOT be ignored" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deb
-
Maybe we should add Biden, Peloski, Reid, McCain, Michelle and anyone else whose e-mail we can come up with!
Edited to add: I love your idea of putting "WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED"
-
Obama said in his speach tonight that he would "launch efforts to conquer cancer". Do you think our e-mails had an impact?
-
WOW Grammy Nancy, I didn't watch it but that's awesome news!
-
I thought the same thing---hope our emails influenced him!
-
I actually just got a reply.
From a MN House of Representative I emailed:
"Dear Pam:
Thank you for letting me know of your support for cancer research.
We all know someone whose life has been affected by the tragedy of cancer. I certainly recognize the need for early detection of cancer. Over one million new cases were diagnosed in 2008 alone.
I strongly support medical research at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and I was pleased that the recently-enacted stimulus bill increased funding for medical research, disease prevention and wellness programs. Investing in biomedical research is one important part in addressing national health care reform. You can be sure of my support when Congress considers funding for this important research.
Thanks again for sharing your concerns, as I appreciate hearing from you. Please let me know whenever I can be of assistance. "
Its the only reply I got.
I thought it was good to get.

Anybody heard from John? That volcano that's erupting and dumping ash is right next to where they live.
Hope all's well!
