AOK here thx Coonie. Hope yours has been good too. Lovely sun today. Went for a walk and got lots of vitamin D.
Thanks for plowing the snow off the beach.
-
Here are some beach flowers for you all.
-
Sure thing Sharon. Glad to get the snow off
I had to hang out my flip flops afterwards though:)
Sure hope you let doggus get some vitamin D too
-
oooohhhhhh pretty flowers. Beautiful way to start a new page.
Beach mom Faith will be so proud
Hey Julz....it's good to see you back. I just figured you were working
some extra long hours
{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} to you....
-
Yepper, doggus and I.
Really Coonie, shovelling snow in flip flops?
-
and great googa mooga.....was it ever cold??!!!
-
Hello, beach combers, lets talk a walk on the beach
I hope to find some seaglass, anyone that knows me knows how much I love sea glass and sea shells
so smooth and beautiful in color and to think the sea smoothed all the edges over time
I love all crafts made from sea shells
I am ready for Sahalie to roam the beach with me and have a scavenger hunt. I am missing her and her positive attitude and calmness and wisdom of life.
Jaz, my hands the past couple of days have been going numb, can you knit too much? LOL
Everyone have a great evening. Hugs and love to all.
-
I didn't quite make the beach today...but I ended up here about ten minutes from the beaches..a little foggy out there today...
-
Hi everyone! This is my first time visiting the beachy board and it all looks so relaxing! Today I had chemo (Navelbine) so now I am resting in my nesting. I really am going to a beach next month, to Kauai, where I have never been before! All of these beauteous photos are getting me in the mood for the tropics!
-
Welcome Toyful...... glad you're found us before your 'real beach' trip. We're so happy to have you and I've got some honorary flip flops for you. (Recognize your smile from the "Next Person" thread.)
-
So glad to see you on the shores of the beach. I bet you are so excited to be going to Kauai. After chemo you deserve a day of resting on the beach, enjoying the sound of the waves. Here is you a new pair of flip flops and a towel to welcome you.
and here is you a welcoming drink
and a nice chair to be comfortable
Hopefully you will be comfortable for a while and come back and walk the beach with me and all the others shining beach friends every day.
-
Beachies...... I have successfully been finger-printed, just like Coonie showed ya. So the young children of the USA are safe and sound in my presence.
Just sent my own little pip-ski's home for the night. What an evening of fun. YIKES. They are so cute in the pictures, aren't they? In real life they're a cross between a cyclone & a 3 person wrecking crew. Serious fun. They've worn me out.
Got a call from the coordinator of tomorrow's NJ event and they want me to bring another box of my books with me on the flight. Just one more container weighing 50 pounds to haul off the luggage carousel. I'll have to hire some muscles to help.... it's a good problem to have.
I think that I've got everything packed & ready.
Just want to send you each some hugs & wishes for good sound sleep tonight.
-
Hey!! Welcome Toyful......I soooooooo love your avatar! Is that your pooch? We like pooches here on the beach too. Hope you enjoy yourself. There's some really special gals that hang out around here.
These are some of our four-legged friends that visit from time to time.
When will you finish your chemo? Hope things are looking up for you.
Faithie....wishing you happy flying thoughts for tomorrow. Will you be
there all week? At least the fingerprints are logged in and our kids are SAFE!
Hope everyone has a great evening!!
-
OOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I completely forgot to share the GREAT newest news!!
Our DD2 called tonight after dinner to announce that she's been accepted into the Doctoral program that she had auditioned for!!!! WHhhooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo. Now all she has to do is figure out the $$ details. (just a little reality, as yet to be determined.)
Coonie. I'm flying into NJ tomorrow, present keynote & then 4 workshops on Thurs, then go to dinner w/some new friends that evening and then fly on Fri back to FL -- I get another week in the sunshine state, before the big spring season of wild and wooly fun...... all up and down the eastern sea coast & through out the midwest.
-
Ooohhh congrats to Faithie's DD. Way to go!!!!
So you go back to your dancing in Florida for a few days, then roaming the country again,
You need an assistant to help at least carry your luggage. Or.....maybe even fly you around
in a private plane. That would be really much nicer.
-
Did you know that my husband has his pilot's license & does indeed fly us to and fro??
He's in a flying club out of OSU (Ohio State) and they have 3 planes between a couple dozen folks. We reserve it ahead of time and take it back and forth -- where ever we're heading.
We've had quite a few adventures.
Sometime I'll tell you the story of taking off from the island up in Lake Erie. That was memorable!
-
Well, Faith, you have a pilot and bag boy all zipped in to one
Safe Flying.sweet dreams to all of our other beachies!!!
Please remember my neighbors who lost their home to fire today. Lost EVERYTHING!
-
Oh wow! Toyful has found the beach! Welcome Welcome! I'm so glad you are joining us. Hugs.
-
Checkum, I hope you are getting enough rest and that your recovery is coming along.
-
Hope everyone is doing well, I have about lost my mind. Michael is home everyday. We just seem to go through the days and I feel he is the only one getting anything done. Guess I miss my alone time.
Just wanted to stop by and give a hug to all.
BTW, yes that was my own picture I took. I will never hold a candle to Lisa. But I tried to let you all see the beauty I saw that beautiful morning.
Here is another I will share.

Oh Coonie, what sad, horrible news for your neighbours. I hope they have insurance. But even that cannot replace so many things money can't buy. My prayers go out to them.
Hey Toyful. Welcome to the beach. Here is a little spot for you to sit and put your feet up.
We are allowed to do whatever we want here on the beach. I hope your chemo went ok. May you have the strength to garden some today.
How are you doing Checkum. Gaining strength slowly but surely I hope.
Yay, Faith is fingerprinted. The kids are safe from the polka dot lady. Wooo hooo.
Love your pics Lisa and MaryLou. Love to see "real" pics.
Beach hugs and gentle breezes to all today.
-
Hi everybody,
I am sloooowwwlly gaining strength. It seems like the soreness is growing too. Tomorrow is my 1st physical therapy -- uggghhh.. I am sure I will be in for a fun day. All in all, I sleep (little cat naps) often. Just laying low and staying out of trouble. Can't wait to dip my toes in the ocean again! Just looking at the pics reminds me of how healing the beach is for all of us.
(((HUGS))))
-
How's this for some serious toe dipping?
Nice to hear you are coming along Checkum. It does take time!
-
Ice Cream - naked and the beach - sounds like a good day!
-
Thru security. I sure could have used a luggage wrangler. They've given up curbside check-in for US Air in our airport. I'd forgotten that detail, when I told them I'd bring that extra 50 pound box of books. LOL. Of course DH was not allowed to leave the car to help me get in the building..... but I've made it: safe & sound so far.
Checkum. So glad to have your report 'first hand'....... many prayers for continued improvement. I will be thinking of you tomorrow @ Physical Therapy. My PT team was awesome and for my back injury I swear they worked an absolute miracle.
Mary Lou. Prayers for your story, too..... as the two of you adjust to being so-much-together. I'm hoping this is a short little phase and that there is work to 'go' to shortly.
Yes, the polka dot queen will be documented "happy" shortly. I decided to pay the extra money and have an actual FBI check run, for all 50 states. I'll be a certified 'happy' all across the country, should anyone need that form.
Waving at all of the waves.
Lisa, you have 'improved' all of our photographic efforts, just by your example & your care in clicking. Mary Lou's recent pics are evidence of your inspiration to us all.
OK...... the rest of you beach bunnies: have a great day (or two -- never know what sort of web connection awaits me.)
Coonie, my heart goes out to your neighbors as well. What a sadness for them to endure. It sounds like no one was injured in the fire & for that we will be grateful.
Big hugs all around.
-
I'm not sure who this is?? Coonie & Sharon I suppose......
-
Happy day. Somebody cue up, "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay"
-
ok faith.....here's a link :

Hope you all have a great day on the beach!!
I've got lots to do today!
