Claritin and Neulasta?

Options

I was really hoping my white blood counts would behave, but they are as stubbornly independent as  am so  my Monday chemo (CMF #2) was put off.   I have to have them checked again on Friday.  Can anyone tell me how to take the Claritin that is recommended for the possible pain from the Neulasta shot I may need.  Does this apply to Neupogen as well?   I remember reading about the Claritin and can't remember how often, how many days...Thanks.

claritin the morning of the neulasta shot and that evening, then 2x/day for a week. Be sure you get the plain claritin, not claritinD. this is what I saw in a thread. If you search for Claritin, you can see how others take it. Hope that helps.

I was told to take a Claritan and an Aleve for 3 days around your Neulasta shot: the day before, the day of the shot and the day after.  However, last time I got achy the next day, so I'm going to do FOUR days next time.

I buy the generic grocery store brand ( 24 hour strength) and just take it daily.  Figure people with allergies use it daily so why not.  Forgot it this morning and now my back is killing me!
