My mom's BC is spreading...

Options

My mother is my hero, she battled through breast cancer and acted like it was nothing, she was more worried about us then herself.  She was diagnosed Oct. 08. She recently felt painful lumps in her neck so she went to the doctors and they just called to tell us they were positive for cancer. My mother is a very strong woman and reading about all the other strong woman on this site has helped her stay positive but i know it will be harder the second time around for her. She is my everything... and any support would help tremendously.

    Laura,

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom, but she sounds like a really strong lady and I'm sure she will fight hard again just as she did the first time. You may want to check in with the ladies on the mets and recurrence thread as they may be able to give you more info about what to expect with this dx.

    Hugs and take care,

    Anita

When I was diagnosed I went to another center for a 2nd opinion and they told me about another woman who had come in with bumps on her neck as well.  She didn't even realize she had breast cancer until she saw the lumps on her neck.  They told me she go through it and is fine.

You and your mother seem to be very strong and it's great that you have each other!

I hope an pray for the best for both of you!

     Hang in there!

    Beth
