I can't get my act together and I don't know why

Leave it to you compassionate Canadians! What a wonderful outreach! I used to help my grandmother quilt at her church in northern Indiana. I wonder if the ladies had to go back and re-do the work of little hands???

I told this story on the bitch moan and groan thread... but it really should be here.
I was complaining to a friend of mine that there are 3 adults in this household and none of them can pour a cup of coffee, juice, milk, water, whatever without spilling on the tiny kitchen floor. She then explained to me that there are hydromagnetic backings on the tiles that draw liquid to the floor. I had to race to the bathroom, I was laughing so hard.....!
-
A friend explained to me why NO ONE but I can change the toilet paper roll. There's a note on the inside of the roll specifying that only Daffodil may procure and install a new roll.

You may also have noticed a similar notice in tiny print around the bases of your lightbulbs......
-
Um Daffodil, we need a new roll.
-
Since I live alone, I have only " me, myself and I " to blame...!!!!
-
Oh dream. don't be silly. In YOUR house, it says "Dreamwriter"~~~in a lovely script!

Darling Sisters in Slobbyness, I have a new and wonderful excuse for us: go out and get a concussion! You absolutely can't remember sh*t, you get a little green around the gills, you're so flustered and irritable that everybody jumps up to help you do stuff, it's great. But seriously, there may be a few of you who didn't read another post about my slipping on black ice last week, slamming flat on my back onto the pavement and instantly peeing my pants. No lie. Not a good moment in my personal history. Then the id-juts at the ER x-rayed my pelvis and hips but never did a neuro check or ask me about my head. So I go home feeling like dog-doo, continue to feel weird (like cancer-brain cubed), finally see my own doc, and he diagnoses a concussion. Jeez.
I was sent home from the ER with nothing but generic instructions to take ibuprofen if my back was sore. Meanwhile, I find out since all this that if you have a concussion, you're NOT to take anti-inflammatories, and someone needs to wake you up a few times in the first 12-24 hours to make sure you are okay.
OTOH, I had my first post-adventure mamm today and it was NEGATIVE!! And because I asked them to tell me right away and they did, I don't have to sit around being sick to my stomach waiting for the results. Best thing that's happened all week. I don't think I realized how much stress that was causing me underneath it all, but I'm so relieved right now, I have a lump in my throat and want to cry.
There are definitely a lot of things more important than a clean house!! At least for today.
Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day to ((((((((( all ))))))))))))).

*Throwing Valentine candy into the room for everyone*

Lazy love,
Miss S
-
And after spilling all those candies on the floor, who is going to vacuum? hmmmm? Hope its that funny guy in the red shorts.
-
Dream, thats why I have dogs! They'll hover anything that drops on the floor!
-
crazydaisy - That's why I miss my two Hoovers, especially with a 2 yr. old grandbaby! The cats are no help at all!!
-
So, if we get someone else to clean our houses (not our dogs, that doesn't count), does that get us kicked off this thread??? I'm at my wits end, and I didn't have much wit left BEFORE the concussion. Now, I've about used it all up.
Groan.
-
KAK, hope you are feeling better when you read this! OUCH!!!
There's more to our "acts" than clean/dirty houses.Like what lurks behind those closet/cabinet/guest room/etc.doors!!!!

-
Alice-Anne, is that YOU in the closet?
-
Heehee..never was I Nicole Richie thin!!!
-
boy would I love a closet like that! So many options every day
-
Hugs, Kak , on the clear mammo -- congrats. Ouchies on the concussion - hope it is getting better each day.
-
Oh, I keep my closet much neater!!
-
Okay Daff, repeat after me, "I am a closetaholic"..
-
Geeze, my apartment is smaller than your closet...
-
Mine too
-
You know why it's so roomy? It's full of Mariah Carey's clothes...and we all know she wears the barest minimum!!
I am jealous~~~~the wonderful Mario Buatta decorated her apartment, most of which she's never been in.....
-
Didn't you all love the closet scene in the Sex and the City movie??
-
That movie disappointed me when she did get married after all even though he left her at the alter. Hope I didn't just ruin it for anyone, but it pi$$ed me off!
-
If you prefer neutrals~~~~

-
Nobody I know has closets like that... most look look like this:
But we can only dream.... when we have maid staff:
-
Mine has all the same coloured hangars in it. White. Does that count for anything?
-
I like the pink one
