After a busy day at the beach.

How cute is that picture, Sharon? You're the best picture-nabber!
Look what I did in Picasa today:
I took these pics. (Ya know how I feel about color!!)
These are the raw ingrediants of today's project. Can't wait to finish it.
Even more exciting, I was able to crop/slice one of these pics and then figured out how to create a 'mast-head' over on my blog...... all by myself! I'm so excited with it's new look.
I realize that I'm easily entertained.
My parents are already safely back at their home.
We had a delightful visit. I'll have to put up some pics on da-blog. One's just soooooo funny.
(again, keep in mind that I'm easily entertained.)
Mom helped me with a variety of projects & that was flat-out AWESOME! They really like our new little place. It's the perfect size for the four of us, for one over-night. LOL.
AND I cooked brunch this morning. Will wonders never cease?

AMEN! for Jaz. Jaz, my sweet beach star, thank you so very much for thinking enough of me to send me a package. It made my day and was one of sweetest things anyone has ever done for me, especially someone I have yet to meet. (can hardly wait until June to meet you) You get the award for random act of kindness today.
golden globe of kindness
Faith, I love color too and always am checking out your blog for your different stuff.
Looks like everyone had a good day on the beach today
Dream, my hand is reaching for yours.
Checkum, one more week prepare your nest, thinking and praying for you daily.
Coonie and Sharon, thank you for brightening up the beach.
Julz of the beach come wade when you can.
Can't wait for Sahalie to come back and run into the waves with me again.
there we go!!!!

If you look through that fence at the border..this is what I saw..

This weeks writing circle piece:
The White Knight got off the horse and waited. The Princesss would have to find her own way out of the maze constructed of high hedges. He didn't even call to her. It was important for her to learn self-reliance.
The music ruffles the leaves underfoot, raising them, swirling them around the man and horse. He had been warned by Wisdom not to interfere. It was hard for him to stand idle - even the horse twitched, eager to move one way or the other.
I am watching them. On a soft cushion of grass. I'm stretched out. No schedules to keep, no one telling me what comes next. For once, I am in charge and I welcome the responsibility. It is a gift - more valuable than anything else. I have accepted the work with both hands. I am the storyteller and the audience. I can do both. I can be both.
My eyes fill iwth joyful tears as the music swells - and all clamors together. The joy of achievement as the Princess emerges from the maze.
Happiness swirls aound her - like the leaves. She passed the test and grew from the experience. She has a new strength that the White Knight could not give her; but had he rescued her, he could have denied it to her. Progress although it sounds positive can mean the opposite. I do not rescuing as the storyteller and the audience. I just had to entertain until the final note, hoping that no one snores - dulled by a drab story. The storyteller must make the story shine - that is the duty. And there is only one chance to do it.
Hope you enjoyed it.

VERY GOOD!

"I am the storyteller and the audience."
Dream. I just love that line. It fits with my 'story' too. I do, indeed think I am both storyteller & primary audience to my own work.
Thank you for crafting the parable above. So fitting for me to start my day.
It's FRIDAY the THIRTEENTH!!! Since I was born on the 13th, I feel that it's a very fortunate day.
Let's have a party. Want to??
Who can get something whipped up in the kitchen?

Put on your happy face. I'm in charge of breakfast:

Good morning Beachettes.
Lisa, what interesting pics of the border. From someone who hasn't travelled much I find them SO neat to see.
I sure could use some warm sand this morning. Rain yesterday......cold today and everything is frozen. Darnit I hate ice.

Interesting looking breakfast Faith. Very........colourful.

ia orana shining shells.
Spar shining shell I can read the excitement and happy vibes in your post re* Jazz's gift.
She is a keeper isn't she. * Remember all our grand jogs up and down the white soft sands of the beach with the cabana and beach patrol yummies chasing us?
I'm game for those jogs any time of the sun filled days.
At this moment on my sand dune it's colder (California cold) than * Let's see what can I compare it too.
The Arctic! Raining too. Sun * freezing temps * Rain. Much needed droplets of the wet stuff to shine our beach glass and thirst the quenchers of our hurting foliage.
Getting ready for some crabby feeds and Oyster feeds in the next weeks. Plus birthdays and showers of the baby kind.
Typing up requests and orders is a good thing on rainy days.
OK Spar. The waves are waving and the foaming tickles are waiting for us as each wave rolls in to play with our toes. Let's go. Hermee is waiting to chase us and tweak our delectable toes.
XOXO. Sahalie
