Well Although I love the big dogs I know my limitations----I used to have a Royal Standard Poodle---You never saw a dog so amazingly strong and intelligent--loving

Loved him dearly but as unsteady as I am now lap dogs are more my speed (Bichons)

Well the Standard Poodle is still in the hunt.  Gotta say though that Puli is a cutie. Still three groups to go Tuesday including the Spaniels, Toys, and Sporting

Dottie---When I was inquiring if there were any small Labradoodles or Goldendoodles it was suggested that another dog may fit the bill better. Its called a Cavachon (not AKC recognized).

It's a cross beween a Cavalier King Charles and a Bichon Frise.

Hey Saluki - I saw the Saluki dog last night for the first time.  Is that how you got your name?  Here is a picture of what the breed looks like:  It's stunning.

My vote was for the Pharaoh hound.  The breed looks like this:

I am all about Bulldogs but all of these animals are beautiful (I am sure the hours of grooming, training, good food etc has something to do with that)

Remember the amazing Beagle last year?  He was one fabulous dog and I don't even care much for beagles.  He had CHARISMA!

Didn't watch last night because it's only on cable.  We are strictly over-the-air viewers.

Beagles are wonderful pets.  When my son was very young he said he wanted a brown, black and white dog so I got a beagle and he named him Shadow.  They grew up together.  This month Shadow has been gone to doggie heaven for 4 years.  I still miss him.  I find it hard to watch a movie where the dog dies.  I read the book Marley and Me but don't want to see the movie.  So I was thrilled when Uno won the best in show last year.  GO BEAGLES

My vote is for the Golden Retrievers - I have 3 and volunteer for a Golden rescue - so am a little biased!!

Gramadeb-- our boy George is a rescue from Golden Bond here in Oregon.  Good for you that you volunteer!!! We did that for awhile, but we are just too soft and we adopted the second dog we fostered!!!    I wish my husband would let me have more than one dog but really, if you knew our goofy George, you would understand.  He is a handful!

I don't watch TV so I don't have cable so I can't watch Westminster. I think it's the only two nights of the year I regret it. I was visiting family for the Eukanuba Invitational so I got to watch some of that at least.

If you'd like to see how "your" breed did in the judging at Breed level (all Goldens entered, for ex. and every one of them gorgeous) you can see video at the WKC site. Here's the Pugs!

Did you hear the announcer, commentator, say he had a Caviler?  LOL, not biased at all, of course.

    So---who won?

    I'm cking out the Cavishon.

I'm not going to be able to finish watching live at PST, but I'm still rooting for the golden retriever. My golden mix rescue has been the best!

And you can bet that I eyeballed my tax prep person and said that the $700 I spent on petsitting during my procedures should be a deductible medical expense and she agreed!

The biggest perk that could come out of this wonderful show is that the audience will adopt a dog.

If Misty the Lab would let us, I would have a houseful!!

    DOGS RULE
