WARNING: HEADCOVERS.COM
I won't bore you all with the details, but I want to warn all of you not to order from them. They are total thieves - their customer service is horrendous and they are total nickel and dimers. If you want to hear my sob story, pm me, but please be cautious dealing with them. The last thing in the world we all need is to be yanked around by unscrupulous business people at this time in our lives!

Not sure what happened with you, but my experience was positive. i ordered from them several times for scarfs and always got them on time. I also have had people ask me where igot my scarfs and recommended them.

I've ordered from them many times. If your order goes smoothly, it's fine. If there's a problem though, their service is awful.
-
Oh, and I should add, the order that went wrong was the last order, of course. I got no response from customer service at all. It's irritating because they claim to have a president who is a BC survivor and runs a business with us in mind, but they don't seem to walk the walk.
Ok, the vent is over. Just please be careful.
-
That's a shame. I ordered from them several times in 2005 and never had a problem. Not the kind of business that should have crappy customer service (not that ANY should!)
-
Just adding my own personal experience. I have bought from them on 2 occassions.
I found the quality of the hats very very good.
I found their shipping department, less good. However. I found that talking to them on the phone and then calling back to make sure the order was done and shipped helped.
I found it true that they need help with their shipping dept, but they were always courteous, just not very swift, without a bit of "chasing".
Because they have such a good range at affordable prices and there isn't much out there otherwise for the hat wearing girls, I still recommend them. I hope that they read this and get it together as there really is no need for the issues they have, especially since the actual product is so good.

That is just awful, sorry you had such a bad experience. I got my "wiglet" from them (half wig, called "hat with hair") and I can honestly say that it was the only relief in my whole baldness journey. After it arrived in the mail, I tried it on, put on a cute hat, and saw myself in the mirror for the first time in a week. The half-wigs they sell at TLC are terrible, I never wore them, just stuck with my curly one from headcovers. If I had to do it again (and I pray I never will) I would risk their horrible customer service for their inexpensive and excellent products. But you are right, no one should treat customers badly, but especially customers who are in the midst of cancer treatment. Maybe they will get wind of this thread and make more of an effort.

Shiny makes a good point about Headcovers.com being just about the only place out there. I did a lot of google searches and the other stuff that popped up was really crappy looking. I wish I could sew caps b/c I would make cute ones!

Thanks everyone - that's what I think too - they are the only game in town and their product is good. I think that may lead them to not feel the pressure to provide good service. I hope you're right, that they get their act together and don't take advantage of their dominance in the market.

I actually ordered from a wonderful website www.4women.com
Their scarves are pre-tied and cotton lined. They each come with a matching scrunchie which lets you change the style. They are awesome and I get compliments wherever I go. The prints are just beautiful. They are pricey, but worth every bit. I think I paid $50 for each of my three scarves .
I must add though that when you first go to the website, you will probably wonder about what I am saying because the models and the website could use a little work in my opinion. But I can assure you that you will be delighted with anything you order.
They are also very quick, order usually arrives within 48 hours.

Thanks for the information!

I think the hats on this website are pretty darn cute:

I've purchased from headcovers.com. It's also operated by a breast cancer survivor. Their shipping was incredibly fast, and I had no trouble at all with ordering or customer service.
-
I too have ordered from them twice in the last 2 mos and have not had any problems.
-
Thank you, I was just looking in the site to order some head-covers.
