Deb I am so very sorry you are in so much pain. But I still believe in miracles. I pray for you often. Gemzar is doable I did it for a year and a half. I start back on abraxne next week. I did it three times and had hives every time but she wants to try again. They are waiting till next week since I still cant eat and drink from the rads burning me. They gave me iv fluids yesterday. I am so tired but am fighing on. Deb I pray God lets you know what to do. Keep asking for God to cast the cancer from you and BELIEVE. Even when there seems no way. So rest and keep the faith. God bless you and all the sloane rangers.....

Very happy to see you're able to post, Deb, although saddened by your pain. Never have received the two chemo's you mention, yet I do see they are fairly widely used in stage iv. I pray a bright light shines forth for you on your decision. I'm glad you managed through the Kentucky icestorm, although I'm sure it was trying on all.
You are a strong one Deb, and I thank you for posting an update. You're so often on my mind.

I am very sorry for your pain. I pray you are guided to the right decision on chemo. You are inspiring to others here with you patients with this disease. I want to scream and yell most of the time.. and you, I am sure you do the same, but keep a great attitude here as you ask for prayer.
Thank you Deb.. for being you!

Slonedeb. It rejuvinates my heart to see your post. Thank you so much for using your energy to communicate with us. I will pray that you are given the 'sign' that you seek as you consider further treatment possibilities.
We all wish that your pain could be managed -- so that you can tolerate the various ramifications of your body doing battle.
Last night we had a little herd of 6 dear come walking thru my very suburban back yard. Quite amazing to be a couple miles from the interstate and yet have these majestic creatures casually out for a stroll.
It made me think, again, how things happen which are so unsuspected.
I respect what ever decision that you make. I pray you will be led to peace with the process of considering and choosing.
We love you -- no matter what.
Please do all you can on your own behalf to live each moment with sparkle.

Kbug: you're going thru the storm as well. Know that all of the SloneRangers keep you both in our hearts and minds, praying for your faith in the storm.
No wonder the two of you are such good friends..........
I get such encouragement from the posts here. I'm sure they lift you up, Slonedeb.
-
A prayer for Deb, Tender, Foots, KBug, Faith and all the Slone Rangers:
Heavenly Father, in my present need, help me to believe that You are aware of my anxiety and will do what is best for me. Give me the strength to trust You and put the present and future in Your Hands. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Deb I am sending you positive vibes and lots of love,
Anna

I called Deb yesterday and was able to speak with her for quite a while. She and hubby were planning their seeds for their garden. She is going to be doing navelbine. Still sounds positive and strong.

Morning Ky. Deb, I am cheering you on in this storm to kick bc in the butt big time..... I know in the winter it is easier to feel down with the way the weather can be. It is cold and sunny here today. I am still on a liquid diet due to rad burns. I have trouble with anything. I am mostly taking in water and pudding and a lil jello. What a way to lose weight. I am the littleest I have been in yearssss. Still not lil but getting there. Had friends over yesterday they said I dont look like me anymore. I am 32 pounds lighter. So Deb we ride on in the storm. Bu t remember we are blessed. Keep looking up. Thank you all for your prayers. Deb have a blessed day and all the sloane rangers.

Deb, Sending you warm fuzzy hugs, Heather

What lovely prayers and posts! They allow a spring in one's step, a wave to a neighbor, a thanks for all we have. I was looking at seeds today too; seems as though a Victory Garden might be on our family's agenda. Ummm, tomatoes and cucumbers, beans and peppers, okra, herbs and flowers. All if we can keep our friendly squirrels from enjoying them too.Hope and spring, both Eternal.Tender

DFW, thanks for the post! If Deb is talking, that's good news!!
Deb, nothing like a gardening catalog to lift your spirits!!

-
DFW, I add my thanks for your news of our dear Slonedeb's decision to continue on with treatment options & news in general from your phone conversation. FANTASTIC~~
Thanks so much for letting us know.
Slonedeb. We will be praying in overtime now. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you made your onc's head spin, with amazing results. I'd like for your story to be written up in medical journals -- as a breakthrough research project, that yielded a miracle!!!
Sending prayers to all the SloneRAngers.

Good wishes being sent your way, Deb. There are any number of patients here who are or have taken Navelbine so the search feature may be very helpful. Hope your weekend is warmer and you feel some better. Glad to hear the news.

Slonedeb. I'm thru the airport security and headed down to FL for a couple of weeks of rest and relaxation. How very fortunate am I? That's kind of how my world whirrrrrs: big bunch of work and travels and then an oasis of calm and relaxation. I'm looking forward to more bike rides in your honor.
I'll be speaking to the angels out my window as I wing thru the heavens this morning.
You are an inspiration. Thru sharing your trials, your tears, your anxieties and your continued perseverance in the storm, you demonstrate to all of us that we are stronger than we realize.
Big hugs SloneRangers. Big hugs.

Deb I pray you are having a pain free day. The sun is out here and chilly but I know spring is not far off. I love flowers and to think they will bloom before long. That puts a smile on my face. We sure need to smile and laugh more. I hope we can light up your day. Close your eyes and think of us Sloane Rangers in field of flowers. All the colors you can think of..It is allergy free in our field. So relax and enjoy. Love You Deb. Have a beautiful day. God bless....
