Hey Dream... we will be doing the biophosphate trial together ((((HUGS)))))

I'm thru airport security & at my gate & there's an outlet!!
Dreamgirl. Sister. Fellow Creative Friend. I am so sorry to hear of the progression. I suppose that's it's good to have more information. Right? They say that information is power. Use that info to your advantage. Use that power.
Pour your power into more of your writings...... our creative efforts are indeed our legacy. You convey so much with the power of your pen. Share more of that here, when you are in the mood, I for one am always delighted to see how you craft words/experience/imagery/imagination. You have a real gift and we are better for your sharing it with us here.
I'm soooooooooooo excited about the next two weeks. This will come as close to a 'vacation' as I ever get. I'm not taking any of my props/paraphanalia/nonsense -- so I don't plan to have any performances the whole time. Of course there's always 'work' to be done from the computer.
Maybe we can even take a picnic from our inland oasis and go find a beach somewhere. I hear that the state has a couple!
Much love.
Edited to add a picture. I don't think it's legal to start a new 'page' here without a picture:
Let's play some today! Want to?
-
Dream, I'm really sorry to hear your news. Checkum, special hugs for you too.
-
-
Hey Sharon -- Good Morning to you.
Dreamgirl - Hang in there we ae all here holding you up and praying for blessings for you...
(((HUGS)))) to all my beach buddies. Jasmine - I have found the right pattern finally - double seed stitch - squares come out perfect
going to buy more yarn today - I am really getting addicted! Do you think I will be able to knit after surgery?
-
Checkum, probably not right away since you are doing recon at the same time. You want to take it slow and with lymph node removal you will want to make sure you don't cause any swelling in your arm that could encourage lymphedema. There's plenty of time so don't worry about doing too much.
-
Drat! I kind of figured that... so it is knit..knit.. knit .. until 2/19
-
Yup! But we'll be praying that you have a speedy recovery so that you can start doing the things you like soon. Will you be doing chemo after surgery or going straight to rads?
Dream, I will pm you with the site link I sent Checkum for the Warm Up America project where this idea originated in the first place. It has alot of patterns to use for both crotchet and knitting. Please don't use wool yarn. It tends to shrink when washed. If you need some yarn, I would be happy to send some. Look for worsted weight acrylic yarn. In the states, I get the Red Heart brand at Walmart for less that $2 US. Well, heck, I'll just post the link here:
-
Thanks for the link Hope, that will help me a lot. Just haven't got in to the city to get some yarn yet.

Hello beachies. Just took a Sunday afternoon dip
Dream...I'm so sorry to hear your news. Hugs and prayers to you today {{{{dream}}}}
Checkum...are you feeling a little better today? The mouth sores? So glad you're enjoying
your hobby. That'll help get your mind off the surgery. I'm praying for you!
Sending {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} to everybody and hoping you're having a good Sunday afternoon!
-
Hi Coonie (and all you gals)..
Mouth is still pretty crappy - but I took a nice nap under my afgan today and thought of all my friends at the beach
-
Beachies. I'm in FL. Wore sandals upon arrival and went to the Gulf: a REAL beach!
AND we had to have the air conditioning running. Crazy, big country of ours.
Just wanted you to know that I made it safe and sound.
Hugs to each and all.
-
Faith, glad your home safe and goodness, a real beach, am so jealous. Loved the polka dot guitars and polka dot everything.
Checkum, sorry your mouth is so sore, I always used warm salt water and it burnt like crazy, so the numbing stuff sounds a lot better.
I get my first knitting lesson Tuesday afternoon because I want to help bless someone with the afghan too.
Jaz, I have missed you, didn't get much computer time this weekend and it is already 8:30pm and just got home from communion which we call the gathering and still haven't had supper yet.
Dream, so very sorry for what all your going through, I will be praying for you and Julz and Faith are right, share with us with pen and paper.
Coonie, so glad your dipping on the beach with your cute pictures
Sharon, love your pictures too, is that a real quilt or afghan you posted above?
Hope all has a wonderful and blessed night. love you all and hugs to all
-
Hi Beach Friends, I want to wish you all the best in your walk to win. As we walk the beach

Lemons awaiting lemonade treatment:
-
Wow, I love that picture. I wish I could find a print for my house.
-
I always like yellow & blue together, J. Just photo-bucket searched on "lemons" for Footie and it popped up...... don't know anything else, other than I admire it, too.
-
Goodmorning beach friends, the sun is shining and such a beautiful day here.
Wow, love the knitted sea things, had no idea you could make stuff like that from knitting.
The bag Sharon picked out was perfect also. Just picked up my morning coffee and not a drop spilled. I also love yellow and blue together. Beautiful picture.
Faith, can't wait to see pictures of what you are creating this time. Everyone have a great day.
-
Hi beachies! Here's an early Valentine's Day heart for all of you! Hope everyone
is having a wondermous day!
I'm so jealous about the knitting club! I might just have to look in to that!
I wonder if "Arimidex hands" can do it? Mine sure are stiff.
Hugs to EVERYONE today!!! Hope some of you are getting nicer weather.
Just maybe we're getting closer to Spring and wonderful warmer temps.
