How can I tell if it is IBC?

I had early stage IDC 3 yrs ago and doing well.  Today I woke with a huge area of redness above and below the breast that had the lumpectomy.  Could this be IBC or does it appear more as a bite type thing?

    The symptoms of IBC are different for everyone.   My symptoms were not the classic sign of IBC I would definitely get into see your PCP and let him/her know your concern about IBC.  Just to let you know there are allot of doctors out there that have never heard of IBC.   My pcp sent me right away for a mammogram and to a breast surgeon.  My mammogram came back negative however the biopsy came back positive for IBC.

    Praying that this is nothing.
