I was 47 first time, 53 this round.
-
I was 2 months shy of 49 years of age - perimenopausal for the past 2 years.
-
I am 38 and just going through it. Had a rt.breast mastectomy after a failed lumpectomy the week before; too many nodes were affectted. I have yet to start chemo, and had my port replaced, as it was improperly inserted. had it been placed correctly, I would've had 1st chemo this past Wed.2/4

Can't believe how many people have contributed to this thread and sooo many young ones!
Makes my heart ache.

I was diagnosed last September at 61, but the doctor thinks the tumors may have been there for 6-8 years. Am currently doing chemo and then 33 rads. Will be 62 before treatment is complete.
-
Diagnosed last month at age 60.
I agree, waaaayyyy too many young women being diagnosed. You're all warriors in my eyes!
-
I was 50 years + 1 month. I would not repeat age 50 again if you paid me . . . Oh, and irony of irony - I got my diagnosis on the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I was diagnosed on 01/23/2009. I am 45; will be 46 in May.
-
Just diagnosed Feb. 24, 2009 - 8 days after my 62nd birthday, after regular yearly mammo. No lump can be felt, deep in my dense right breast - biopsy shows little less than 1 centimeter IDC. Have my appt. with breast surgeon tomorrow. Maybe after my appt. I will be able to breathe again. This has been an absolute horror, which I am sure you can all relate to.

-
My MIL had been just DX - 03-09-2009. She is 69.
-
I was diagnosed last month, starting chemo in a couple weeks unless I chicken out and go find a nice speeding bus to jump in front of. I'm 47, will be 48 in June...maybe. LOL.
-
Just come here for support Lena. You can do it! It seems nearly impossible at the beginning but you will do it and become stronger. There are tons of amazing ladies here who are willing to help you every step of the way!! Best of luck with the chemo.

I was diagnosed in July of 2008 at age 60. But I knew 8 years prior that I had a lump and did nothing. No money, no insurance, etc., etc. Stage 3b when I started treatment. Cora

Diagnosed July of 2005. Actually had my biopsy on my 51 birthday. What a present that was! Lumpectomy a week later followed by chemo and then radiation. Tested positive for BRCA1 summer of 2007 and had prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction May 2008. NED and will turn 55 this summer.

45 years old....Dx on 2/16/09 Bilateral mastectomy, no recon 4/1/09
-
42, with a 19 month old and a 4 year old

I was 41, and it was my first routine mammogram. It was fast growing but caught very early, before it got to my lymph nodes. It was by the grace of God that I went to the doctor when I did. I have three children 4,8,11.
-
I was 40, diagnosed May 2007... Felt mine while running on the treadmill, putt off going to get mammogram for 6 weeks, forgetting about it. Stage III. 2 years and doing great!
-
I was 44, about 5 weeks after my b-day, when I was diagonised with Stage 2, Grade 2a, IDC. no nodes on October 1, 2008. My aunt had calcifications and my great aunt, same family line, had bc. No other known cases in my family. It was a real suprise to me to be diagnosised. I was always worried about heart problems not cancer. I am more than half way through chemo now and doing well. No rads needed.
-
I was 35 when diagnosed, am now 36 and taking treatments.
