Safe skin creams
Hi all,
This may seem kind of trivial, but I've read that petroleum-based products and products with mineral oil both carry the risk of exposing the body to estrogen. For those of us with hormone + cancers, does anyone know of a really emollient, moisturizing skin cream/ointment, (similar to Aquaphor), that is natural, organic, and safe? My skin (especially on my feet) gets really dry, and I need something, but the last thing I want to do is increase the estrogens to which I'm exposed.
Thanks to anyone who can help,
Liz

Wow that is news to me. I just had laser work done on my face and used a ton of aquaphor. I am very ER+ and try to avoid stuff like that. Did you hear that many face creams have estrogen put in them but it is not on thelabel? I am wondering if anyone knows which ones those are.

There was something discussed about this very topic at the San Antonio Breast conference. I believe that I found it on the main BCO site but not sure. I'll look and paste the link if I can find it.

I have not been able to find the brands. I don't think anyone is saying which ones tested positive.

Baby oil. I think it's safe, anyway!!
Good luck. Winter is the worst for dry skin, isn't it?

baby oil is mineral oil (petroleum) with fragrance added. Look for botanical oils!

I use Burts Bees Radiance Face Creme......I emailed the company about the ingredients and they said it was basically natural with no hormones.....I use Vaseline on my feet at nite, put it on and put a pair of socks on, and it does help.....and my feet are peeling bad.
