Karen, we are standing right behind you~~~~

-
Prayers being sent on Oliviia's behalf today. Moody hang in there and have faith.
-
Off to work I go but I will keep praying
-
Dear Olivia,
Nothing like a kitty kat to make things better! For my son it was a teddy bear like the one in Snuggle softener commercial, I don't know if you have that in Georgia, hmm I will try to find a picture and post it for you. He is all grown now and living in Savannah, going to the Savannah College of Art & Design. In March we will be coming from New Jersey to visit him for his 21st birthday, maybe if you and mom live near by, we can visit for a little bit (would love to see your kitty).
I hope you are feeling better and will be home soon.
Elaine
Karen, you know that Olivia and the family are in my prayers. Have faith, remember to breathe and take it one step at a time.
-
Olivia and karen - If we all lived near you the hospital would be crowded with flowers and well wishers. Know that we are all sending healthy and healing cyber hugs your way. We all care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Jean
-
Morning prayers of encouragement for all that is on the horizon today.
Olivia, I know another little girl named Olivia just a few years older than you. She had to stay in the hospital, too! Then she got allllllll better and now she's fine. She was very brave and used to sing songs to the nurses in the hospital.
My prayers are coming from Ohio today, where it's very cold and snow-ie!!
-
Olivia honey you have people all over praying for you. My little girl gave me a scare about 3 years ago but I'm happy to say everything turned out fine. Just this last weekend she went to her homecoming dance. Someday you'll be getting your hair all done and put on a pretty dress and impress all those boys in your class. Love & (((HUG))) from Iowa

Olivia and the Moody family - you are all in my prayers today.
Heavenly Father, please put a hedge of angels about Olivia and give her and her entire family a sense of peace in knowing You are at the helm of their lives and at the helm of this very current crisis in their lives. Lord, please embue the doctors and care providers with wisdom and tenderness, and we ask that You guide every aspect of her hospitalization and diagnosis. In the most outstanding name of Jesus, Amen.

Just wanted to add more hugs and prayers. Get well soon, Olivia!

Just checking in to see if there was any update on Olivia?
-
WOW, I just got on here today and this is a great bunch of praying sisters if I have ever seen one. We are bugging God to the point he will have to answer our prayers for Him to give the doctors the wisdom to find out what is wrong and get it corrected and you be healed in the name of Jesus Christ. Olivia, you are in the best of care and we love you and want to see you get better. You, your mom, dad and brother continue to be in my prayers.
-
Karen/Moody:
I follow you on a couple of the other threads and wanted to send along my prayers and hugs for Olivia, you and your whole family. Many blessings on you all and prayers for a quick solution and healing for Olivia's problem!!
God bless,
Pat

Moody - It is obvious to me that you are well liked and your daughter is being supported by a lot of prayers. Keep her close! - Jean

Well I found a "parents business center" here at the hospital so I have run in here to update you guys. First THANK YOU so much for your love, concern and prayers!!!!
Not much to update The scan has been put off til tomorrow because they are so backed up down here. Most important though is they are keeping Olivia hydrated and keeping her fairly comfortable with the anti-nausea meds. As soon as the meds wear off though we know it as she gets soooooo sick.
She is only going to the bathroom once a day and not very much output. Doc has upped her fluids, but she still has only been once today. About 200cc's if we are lucky.
The ultrasound they did yesterday was pretty "inconclusive". It showed a group of "predominant" blood vessels in the lower left lobe of her liver. However, this isn't enough info to make a diagnosis, and could just be normal for her liver. The HIDA scan should be able to tell them more as it can see into her liver, pancreas, bile ducts and gall bladder.
The child had dropped down to 81lbs when we got here saturday afternoon and is down below 80lbs today. She has not been able to drink one drop or eat one single crumb of anything since last friday. They are giving her "sugar" water with her IV.........The pediatrician and GI doc came in this morning and said she was a sick little girl. But they seem confident they will ba able to figure it out and treat her very soon.
I just want to quickly give you a synopsis of what happened when we got here saturday. Friday night she was at her worst (she had been sick and out of school all week). Called pedi and he said to take her to Scottish Rite Childrens hospital in atlanta. We couldnt move her till saturday. So we got down here saturday afternoon and the "einsteins" in the ER came in and said she just needed a counselor and take her to the doctor next week!!!!!!! They drew blood and said she was NOT dehydrated...??? How can that be she has had nothing to drink all day and no more that 16 oz everyday this week. I guess they thought I was over exaggerating......ANYWAY, they sent us home at 11:30PM and didnt even give us a wheel chair to roll her out! She was so weak we had to keep sitting down while trying to get her to the car. We got about 5 min down the road and She was so freaking sick we had to pull over. I told hubby to turn around we are going back. Walked back in and they said they couldnt see her again before 24 hours.........Well.......I told them " that is just fine, I have my blanket and my pillow, we will just lay here in the floor until the 24 hours has passed"........they took us straight back. A NEW doctor walked in the room, took one look at her and had a fit! She got heads rolling and said had I not turned around and brought her back, she could have died from dehydration. Her tongue was so thick, white and dry. I told her what the first doc said. She said, blood work doesnt tell us everything. She said " I look at the tongue because it is the best indicator". Thank GOD for the NEW doctor!!!!!!!
Anyway, I have felt your prayers and so has Olivia. Please continue to lift her up and pray the Lord will reveal to the doctors whatever it is so they can begin to treat her. She is such a believer of prayer. Friday night we were in the bathroom floor for over 3 hours and couldnt move her. All she would say is "pray". Then a little bit later she would manage to say "keep praying". This baby is so sick, but still knows the power of prayer. Praise God!!!!!
-
Karen - I am just speachless. Bless your heart. Thank you Jesus for putting that mother gene into overdrive and getting you back to the hospital. I can't believe that Scottish Rite sent you home! That little girl of yours is being prayed over by lots of warriors! Take comfort in knowing that the answer and treatment is coming soon. - Gretchen

Karen - I am on my knees in prayer -
Loving Father, we entrust Olivia and her family to You this day. Although we know You are in control, they are apprehensive about what they are facing. Quiet their hearts and through Your power help them to handle thier fears. Guide with wisdom & skill, the mind and hands of those who minister to Olivia. You have provided them with the needed skill to perform a miracle on Olivia's behalf. Watch over them Lord, and all who use their special gifts to care for her. Keep Olivia, her family and all her caregivers in Your love and care.
Amy

Thanks for the update. I am so glad you went back and fought for her! We feel God's prescence everywhere
Oliva continues to be in my prayers, and I pray that the doctors and nurses and all involved in her care are guided to the knowledge and wisdom they will need to help nurture Olivia back to good health. Dear Karen, I am still here praying. God Speed!
-
Moody, sending up more prayers for you and your daughter. What an ordeal!
-
Karen/Moody,
It was good to talk with you again. You did not have to apoligize for not calling me back. I understand that you are going through so much emotion right now. You go madmama!!!!! I am so glad that you turned that car around and was gonna sleep in the floor at the ER if that is what it took for Olivia to get some help. I thank God that the right doctor took a look at Olivia and knew she needed treatment right now!!! That other doctor (he does not deserve that title) should be sent back to school...I am so sorry that you were treated that way but boy I am glad that God told you to turn and go back....Hallelujah
You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers
-
bumping again....we gotta keep Karen and Olivia on the first page. They really need our prayers. She would do the same for us I'm sure! Hugs and prayers Moody..........and to your little girl and DH.
-
Karen. Thanks so much for taking the time in the midst of everything to give us some of the back story on what you've been going thru. Our prayers can be so much more specific, knowing what you've been through.
-
Karen & Olivia,
Keeping you in my prayers and hoping Olivia is home and on the mend very soon!
((((HUGS))
Diane
